EQUINOCTIAL ASCENSION GUIDE: Set Worldly Cares aside; Enter Eternity with a Serving of Grace

Heavenly Maiden with Flowers in her Hair—Equinox 2017 cluster of planets in Virgo & Leo

If you’re going to San Francisco
Be sure to wear flowers in your hair
If you’re going to San Francisco
You’re gonna meet some gentle people there
Scott McKenzie, Forrest Gump

Woodstock wound up the summer of flower power fifty years ago this month, cementing musical friendships and crashing through new sound barriers which are audible today. Many of those groundbreaking musicians continue to perform the circuit. David Crosby, James Taylor, Graham Nash and Joni Mitchell come to mind…they/we thought then we were creating a New World…

RECIPE FOR SURVIVAL IN THE END TIMES

Now a great sign appeared in heaven:
A woman clothed with the Sun, with the Moon under her feet,
And on her head a garland of twelve stars.
Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.
REVELATION 12:1-2

On September 23, 2017 an alignment which has been forming in the heavens all summer comes into sharp focus alongside the prediction of Revelation 12. As far as can be determined from computer models, this is the only time such a celestial sign will occur in history.

Strong solar wind and extra-large sunspots have brought early aurora borealis

It literally marks the Great Sign of Revelation prophesied to appear in the heavens. The woman clothed in stars is Virgo–the Virgin. The Sun appears to be ‘clothing Virgo’ and the Moon will lie under her feet on Equinox. The garland of twelve stars are the nine stars of Leo—including Regulus—plus three wandering ‘stars’ which have been approaching conjunction within Leo at this time—to make twelve. Those wandering ‘stars’ are planets Mercury, Venus and Mars. The last element of the Biblical sign is that the Virgin is with child. That planet—’star of the Messiah’—is Jupiter.

The Hajj—Saudi Arabia’s millions circling the Prophet’s sacred tomb in Mecca—in 2017 fell 3 weeks before Ramadan

During the months of August and September 2017, Jupiter rested in the womb of Virgo. Again, no replication of this sign has yet been found by researcher Mark Chiswell who scoured astronomical records for the last 7000 years.

The Sign of Revelation can be seen to represent the birth of Messiah from the Virgin of Israel, but Chiswell insists it be taken as an actual sign to be visible, seen by the masses as a way to understand the context of (post-Historic) times in which this significant event occurs.

“It happens within the timeline of the End of Days,” he says. That, too, was catalogued in Judaic scripture: Biblical prophecy says it will occur in correlation with the 70th Week of Daniel–the final period of seven years before Messiah comes to rule the planet.

Another solution may lie within Micah 5.

The proximity of this year’s August 21st total solar eclipse over North America relates closely to the Saudi Arabian Hajj, ten days later, above right, as well as the Revelation-12 Sign one month later, on September 23rd, 2017, Equinox. Rosh Hoshanah synchronously ends at dusk the night before.

The metaphor of an eclipsed America is not lost on world critics. But more significantly, the equinox date marks a coming together of three major world religions, as well as the culmination of an astronomical event which began nine months ago on November 20th, 2016, when Jupiter—the King planet—entered (retrograde) into the body of constellation Virgo.

Because of its retrograde motion, Jupiter spent 9-1/2 months in the womb of Virgo, until Equinox, September 23rd, 2017, when it will be ‘delivered’ by exiting—going direct—with the Sun rising directly behind the Virgo constellation—the Moon at her feet and a crown of twelve stars—nine of Leo constellation, including Regulus—with planets Mercury, Venus and Mars—in her ‘hair’.

SIGNS IN THE SKIES
Galactic Seed Reflected in the Heavens and in the Corn

Crop circle August 17 ’17 at Sutton Hall, Essex, proclaiming a message we may not be able to hear

Quietly, on August 17th, 2017 a crop circle appeared in a harvest field at Sutton Hall, Essex declaring to all who view it a blared message in the corn. Few have been able to decipher it, though it touches the inner soul and we have an itch to scratch it.

At the time, there were still four more days to go, and the northern hemisphere was gearing up for the total solar eclipse across middle America. Now, in retrospect, the design appears to use the eclipse as sending point—origin—of an important message.

Feathered Serpent Kukulkan descends staircase at sunset on Equinox at Chichen Itza

While humanity is gazing at the skies, why not grab their attention and tell them what’s in store…

One scholar of Mayan Calendar detail is Maya (sic) Todorova who gives this interpretation:
On the left side of the formation is the circle ‘S’, which symbolizes the Source. Within this circle a lunar crescent ‘М’ is depicted and a smaller circle, that symbolize the First Moon with Tone 1.

Magnetic Moon Descends Staircase with Equinoctial Sun

On the right side of the formation can be seen 22 closed squares, which represent the first 22 days of the 1st Magnetic Moon, which on 17 August are already ‘closed’—they are already past.

The symbol ‘G’ is a sign for Goal. With this sign the formation reminds us, that we have few days left until the end of the 1st Magnetic Moon (26 July—22 August), in which we can identify our Goals (our Purpose) for the Yellow Crystal Seed Year.

Symbol ‘K’ depicts a Key. Tone 1 is the Magnetic Gate of the New Galactic Year. The Key symbolizes the opening of this Magnetic Gate.

Ms. Todorova was not to know that the August 17th crop circle was to be the LAST of the 2017 season—a blared message indeed.

Daykeeper Hunbatz Men, modern Elder of the Guatemalan Maya, foresees no apocalypse

“According to the prophecy in the year 2013 the first stage of higher understanding will begin. If we are willing to work with our subconscious, we will then be able to reclaim the information that has been impregnated in the deepest parts of our being. In this way, the ancient knowledge will rise again.”
Hunbatz Men, Daykeeper and Mayan Elder

Meanwhile—one month later—in Chichen Itza, heartland of the Maya, visitors and tribal devotees prepare for the annual dance of the sun—in the body of feathered serpent Kukulkan—down the sacrificial staircase of El Castillo at equinoctial sundown.

Signs of the [End] Times or Birth of a New Age?
Judaic scripture uses sacred numerology and dramatic descriptions of the Rapture and Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse—war, pestilence, famine and death which symbolize the End of Days. Arab sacred texts repeat the need for constant prayer by the devoted in order to be saved. The Maya believe that sharing their higher understanding—handed down by their elders from the time of the Ancients—will save the human race from itself. Maya wisdom says the New Age began four years ago!

Will a once-in-7000 years’ stellar happening be dramatic enough to wake up three-quarters of the world’s major religious groups three days from now and get six million people out of bed before dawn to scan the eastern horizon? Will it change the way we look at the sky? view our amazing universe with more awe? more respect?

While difficult to pinpoint with the naked eye against the backdrop of dawn, 7a.m., binoculars will help immensely: Mercury and Mars rise at 5:27 and 5:37a.m respectively. Venus shines superbly, rising ahead of them at 4:40a.m., all three lighting up Virgo’s ‘hair’ (in the constellation Leo). It takes a little extra imagination to picture her giving birth to Jupiter, whose light is eclipsed at sunrise, but who will miraculously appear that same evening in the west immediately after sunset, 7p.m., alongside the newest of new moons! reclining within the body of Virgo.

We ask for heavenly signs to show us the way forward?
Voilà.

Nuntius dixit: Consciousness Shift, new Belief in Self-Unity ~ & a Solstitial Meditation

December 22, 2011

Aurora Borealis at its height during Earth's buffeting in early December solar storm

We are already well into the Trans-itional Process. Conditions have changed, but we must tell people, as I was told. Few notice this on their own.
Ken Carey, December 2011

This year has spanned twelve months of profound and disorienting changes. Very few of us have escaped.

Now as the year winds down, light hours come to their briefest ebb, the sun comes to a ‘standstill’(sol-stice), everyone is getting those days of feeling ‘not-quite-there’ or half way through and already feeling like a limp rag. It’s called hibernation.

I do believe that solstice week of 2011 is bringing home to so many of us—through emotional experience—a culmination of a yearful of calamaties; a supercluster of supersonic speed changes and a rollercoaster ride into the last days of the December 2011 spiral, as we head into January 2012.

As that Big Number crawls ever closer and we become so focused on its magic aura, perhaps we have not been looking around. We are headed helter-skelter for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Hanukkah…and many proclaim the EndTimes predicted in the Longcount Calendar of the ancient Maya.

But it’s all about LIGHT!

…and just for TODAY (and tomorrow) we are experiencing the shortest days (least light) in the Northern Hemisphere.

After tonight—the longest night—the hours of daylight will once again begin to lengthen; our spirits to strengthen.

It may not feel like it (mid-solitude-meditation or last mad-rush), but it all turns on today’s hinge.

If you are a meditator, if you like to set time aside to contemplate our communal progress, now is a good time. A special meditation is given here by meditator-par-excellence, author of Return of the Bird Tribes, Ken Carey.

It is our strength of spirit which is hovering now—reflected in the horoscope chart below—Great Spirit is checking out the last of our faltering steps, so close on the threshold of thrusting ourselves into that new time.

Riding the evolutionary wave this week—and into the whole first quarter of 2012—consists of feeling—not suppressing—all our deepest darkest fears to the fullest; hanging in there through the tsunami; and then regaining our equilibrium in triumphant glory! We just don’t know how strong we are, until we use a little solar muscle.

The Winter Solstice and Galactic Center

Coincidentally at this time of year, the Sun, Moon, Earth and all planets of the solar system come into closest proximity and alignment with our nearest parent galaxy—the Milky Way—whose motherly arm extends out to us from the ‘kink’ in the middle of her trailing gown of starfields. The kink at Galactic Center has been beckoning us in cycles since 1983 and we have one more cycle in this great Cosmic Calculation to go…till December solstice 2012 rendezvous with that great energy point, see Cosmic Birth Canal.

Crab Nebula, image courtesy of Hubble Telescope

Winter Solstice occurs when the Sun is at its most southerly declination of -23.5º in the Northern hemisphere during the shortest day of the year. The sun is directly overhead on the Tropic of Capricorn in the Southern hemisphere at that solstice, and is the longest day of the year for those living south of the Tropic of Capricorn.

This solstice week four major planets are also visible together in the evening (south-to-western) sky in the Northern hemisphere: from left to right: Jupiter (high in South), Uranus, Neptune and Venus (low in West),

And if you get up early tomorrow morning you will see the rest of the planets lined up in spectacular array in the pre-dawn sky: Mercury, the Moon, Saturn and Mars.

In the background are three of the brightest stars in the night sky: Arcturus, Regulus (Leo), and Spica (Virgo).

“Predicted long ago by civilizations such as the Yucatan Peninsular Maya, the winter solstice of the year AD 2011 is to see the culmination of many smaller cycles in the evolution of consciousness.” Ken Carey December 2011

The special days and nights right before the Winter Solstice and immediately afterward, are the most mystical time of the year, an opportunity for human hibernation of sorts: time available for us to meditate for hours during this time. It is good for us.

Solstice is a time to enter into deep contemplation—to imagine how our personal creations assist others and the planet—a time to divest and release old burdens.

“Powerful cosmic currents of transformational forces are engulfing our planet, our solar system, and in fact our entire galactic arm as we are about to initiate a new Great Cycle of Evolution. Predicted long ago by civilizations such as the Yucatan Peninsular Maya, the winter solstice of the year AD2011 is to see the culmination of many smaller cycles in the evolution of consciousness.” Ken Carey December 2011

Ken Carey's Return of the Bird Tribes, 1991

Ken Carey, long-dormant author of the Starseed Trilogy, Vision, and Return of the Bird Tribes has resurfaced during 2011 after near-seclusion since publishing his seminal works (1979-91).

He has come out of a twenty-year period of hiberation to make some revelationary announcements: he takes this new time by the shoulders and shakes it: Unlike others who have been worried that an earth-pole reversal is possible, he suggests that the ‘reversal’ is a “shift in ourselves”.

“Simply put, the polarity reversal has started consciously moving us toward a mental state where we think about God more than ourselves, a state where we find ourselves looking around the natural world, wondering who the heck thought all this stuff up, who created it, and why. Even now, if we meditate and refuse to let fear automatically make our decisions, we soon find ourselves caught up in a sort of treasure hunt so intriguing and fascinating that it actually becomes hard not to think about it!”

Winter solstice chart for December 21st, 2011 6pm in Northern hemisphere

Ms Clow is also a believer that at culmination of the Mayan Calendar (Calleman version October 28), this is the first Winter Solstice since completion of our long evolutionary journey into Oneness; surely, she thinks, this tipping point is significant.

Barbara Hand Clow is, as always, outspoken:
“The Winter Solstice is the time to be brutally honest and evaluate whether our ideas enhance others or whether they may actually be detrimental for evolution. A sweet elixir of knowing comes the day of the Winter Solstice when the light begins to return, and each one of us can put greater realities above our personal desires. Chart detail below*.

Ken Carey provides us with a guided meditation for this especial time—a time which is beneficial for us all to slip out of our ‘cultural’ role and reconnect with our “five-minute path to God“.

He also believes we are due to meet our Maker in the truest sense of all indigenous belief in becoming absorbed by the One, the Divine, the Nagual. Many have already made the connection, but now there are opportunities for the new initiates, the newbie-wannabe-souls to join together too. He calls it our “moment of non-time” when we experience this oneness with Spirit for the first time.

For many of us, that experience is long overdue.

He calls it in his ‘spoof alert’—a preparation for meeting in that nanosecond of non-time:

The Kink in the Milky Way --galactic center where we rendezvous each year at winter solstice

SPOOF ALERT
It has become clear to me that we all live in the middle of the Galaxy. I noticed that we had chosen to exist in a moderately populated arm of our spiraling galaxy, and that our galaxy was right there in a moderately populated part of the universe. There’s nobody out there on the rim of Zero, and, as much as we hate to admit it, we get lonely, so we all huddle in the middle. I translated what I felt, intuited, perceived, heard, into the all-encompassing visual word, “saw.”
And I saw that the pinhead in the middle of the our sacred circle wasn’t just us humans, but was, in fact, all the stars, galaxies—electrons, subatomic particles right up alongside the reddest of the largest giant stars. The restlessness of the pioneer spirited particle/waves had chosen to settle and explore the outskirts, the Unnamed Lands of which nothing was known. But the little ones, not knowing they were leaders, grew uncomfortable. They wanted some names, even just a few, but the further out they went, there was nothing there, even the ether was as sparse as a desert’s watering holes.
They wanted to turn back, the very smallest of the smallest, which we haven’t detected yet, made the decision. They all came to a full stop. Utterly STILL they were, utterly still. And the outermost rim of The Circle quivered, all 360 degrees simultaneously. For a nanosecond—I’ve certainly come at a good TIME, I thought—the whole thing blinked off and on, everything: the hypothetical circle and its creative contents, everything that is named, and everything that has no name.”

His full meditation is linked here.

CAREY Handholds along the precipice

His final words give inspiration, consistently encouraging:
Do you want to know a secret?  “Bringing you here, into this awareness, was the goal of all the words that flowed since this meditation began.  Hopefully you have heard few of these words, hopefully you’ll remember fewer still, the mantra of their drone drew you through your own passages, tunnels, alleyways, skyways and caves.  You can always read these words later.  But heard spoken aloud, as I now think they should be the first time, these words were given you to remind you only of the general direction by which you will one day soon easily drift home.

“Yes,  you have only climbed a spiritual ladder of which the words were but steps to a higher frequency.  When others have drawn you back into the dominant cultural mythology, they may come in handy.  But you no longer need them now.  Now you are centred in God, in your deepest and truest level of being.  Now you have become wholly yourself

Once you reach the stratosphere, there's no need to pull the ladder up after yourself...

“Once you are on the roof, you don’t need to haul the ladder up behind you.  It has served God’s purpose, so you move on.

Your growing number of friends with whom you can discuss this, and meditate together again and again into this awareness will so increase your joy.

You find it much easier than you have in the past to practice staying in this consciousness.  Others will follow, and the flow will continue.

M31 Andromeda spiral Galaxy, nearest galaxy to our own Milky Way at 2.5million light years distant

“Today could be the arrival, yes, the arrival of God, but also the arrival of spirit beings and angels far more numerous than the human race.  They have been training too for these past 5,125 years.  Many have been assigned to you and guiding you since birth.  That is why you have found these words, these steps of a ladder you will soon leave behind.” ©KenCarey, December 2011

… and the astrological small print
Because solstice sun is followed by Capricorn New Moon on December 24th (Christmas Eve) chart aspects are given below.

*Clow Chart detail
The reading for the Sagittarius (Sag) New Moon noted that the wild December 10 Gemini lunar eclipse (the fulfillment of the Sag New Moon) would be intense because Uranus went direct at 0 Aries. This combination seems to have shredded patriarchal financial resistance to supporting fairness with money because the Euro nations were forced to come to an agreement based on greater sharing. In the reading for the New Moon in Sag, which featured a wonderful grand trine in the earth element-Mars in Virgo trine Pluto in Capricorn trine Jupiter in Taurus-we noted “(the grand trine) suggests the world financial structures will not collapse totally because unexpected levels of support arrive that ease the transition into more fairness and equality.” B H Clow, November 2011

This year’s Winter Solstice chart has almost all the planets situated in deep resonance with each other, and intriguingly, the god of war, Mars, is not part of this harmonic dance. Mars has no aspects to the other luminaries, so he looms like a Watcher in the sky hoping the shift can liberate him to be mostly a god of personal power instead of merely the god of war. We are witnessing a sign of the coming times. At the Solstice, the Sun moves into Capricorn, close to the Galactic Center and also conjuncts Pluto; trines Jupiter in Taurus; squares newly direct Uranus in Aries; sextiles Chiron/Neptune; and sextiles Saturn.

This aspect will continue throughout the winter months.

The sextiles to the Sun from Chiron, Neptune, and Saturn encourage us to adopt deep ways of wisdom and healing, instead of frittering away our resources and creativity. These aspects are all very close, so their intermingling patterns tell a story of remarkable change that is opening space for new patterns throughout humanity.

“Our world is like a re-tooled factory that is ready to spit out new models”
BClow: Aspects of December solstice 2011

She believes these aspects to the Solstice Sun are game changers that allow each one of us to look at the world in entirely new ways.

Carey is holding out open arms to all who would step with him into the new reality of ‘God-centering‘. Both with his shared meditation and in his new blog where he welcomes readers old and new to his wisdom.

Crossing the Rainbow Bridge: Entry via the Stargate

July 15, 2010

Tesseract, pentaract or hexaract? crop circle at Cley Hill, Warminster, Wiltshire 'inspires one to journey to the edge of knowledge'

We’ve heard a lot of talk recently about entering the Fifth Dimension. Not exactly mainstream media, but you know what I mean: it’s been in the visionary blogs, the music, the crop circles. They, most visually, are our guides to this next rung on the spiritual ladder. This is our Stargate, the next stop on the celestial tour: our starmap imprint sent to guide us across the Rainbow Bridge.

I know, you’ve heard Rainbow Bridge used as a metaphor for crossing ‘over’, i.e. leaving this mortal coil, abandoning your family and friends on earth and becoming one with the Great Spirit. As one aging body which fondly remembers the ’60s, that thought is paramount in my understanding of signs we are being shown right now — this 2010 season — in these so-called End Times. And, goodness knows, with earthquakes in Haiti and Eureka, African drought, world temperature extremes and the Deep Horizon oil spill, we are being shown death in no small measure. No-one explained, however, in those wonderful and awful predictions mentioned in so many religious and spiritual disciplines, that this is potentially a time of joy! We are being given pointers to show us how to express our personal joy. I think that’s what it’s about.

The eclipse from Easter Island: photo by Stephanie Guisard

Last weekend, July 11th, stargazers in the southern hemisphere experienced a total solar eclipse. Totality was visible throughout a massive swathe of Pacific Oceania starting midday in the northern Antarctic, through the Easter and Cook Island chain, (Mangaia in particular) and ending at the point of dusk on the west coast of south America. Observers from the North — not treated to an iota of this spectacle — flew to Pacific atolls in French and American Polynesia while locals in Chile, Argentina and the Andes gathered to witness varying shades of totality as the moon’s shadow all but obliterated the sun’s disk. The path of totality crossed the Pacific from west to east, over Cook Islands, Easter Island, the waters off Tahiti, and ending in southern parts of Argentina and Chile as the sun set and its movement through differing time zones inspired dramatic pictures.

Northern hemisphere lineup at dusk

The northern hemisphere has had its own drama too. Comet McNaught may have sunk below horizons in the north before July 4th weekend, but we are being treated right now to a fine evening array as, just after sunset, three major planets, Saturn, Mars and Venus, line up in the western sky with first magnitude star Regulus in constellation Leo — the brightest star to sit almost exactly on the ecliptic. Jupiter alone shines brightly in the East shortly before dawn as a ‘morning star’.

What has this to do with moving into the next dimension? using the Stargate? you may ask.

A lot of centuries’ erudition has impressed on us the need to die first before we get to go to heaven. And in the belief system of most of humankind on planet Earth, that’s still the way of it. But there is the tiniest chink of light — the one streak of hope and delight — shining through a crack in that Stargate telling us Heaven is Here, Now, if we know where to look. Problem is, we’ve been looking in the wrong places.

Yes, we have read our spiritual texts — after all, biblical renditions, Vedic literature, the Quran are profuse on the subject of inspiration — and we are indeed beginning to ‘look to the heavens’, to seek to foster an awareness in ourselves outside our normal preoccupation with bodily sustenance and functions. But we may still be missing the point.

The Stargate beckoning us across the Rainbow Bridge isn’t up there. It’s in here.

Many indigenous cultures have kept ancestral knowledge alive through the time-honored oral tradition: a means often scorned by the ‘capitalist culture’ of the First World as inaccurate, lacking in practical application and unrealistic. In a world of big business, big oil spills and big gas-guzzling machines, such derision may have an audience. But thankfully some of us no longer feel so driven — as we were, for example, in the ’80s — to mow down hectares of trees to plant oil-producing crops, to grub up precious hedgerow habitat to farm pesticide-fed food because it’s ‘cheaper’, or to tolerate maltreatment, even extinction, of our dependent subspecies (the lesser animals) as expendable, predacious or edible. Our determination has brought some awful revelations — one might cite the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, war, famine, plague, and death — and incentive for us to change horses, and so, at the eleventh hour, we may be learning.

“The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the heartbeat of the Universe, to match your nature with Nature”.
Joseph Campbell

Crop Circles: the new communications medium
Gradually over roughly a decade, the Crop Circle phenomenon caught the public eye. At the end of the 1980s a small following predominantly in Wiltshire, constantly ridiculed and misreported in the press, announced mysterious (and mystical) overnight appearances in ripening summer crops.

Now it’s worldwide.

Sixth dimensional cube (hypercube) or Hexaract at Cley Hill, Warminster

Sophisticated designs have become infinitely more complex, embedding code and displaying supreme care in laying inner swirls of undamaged layered wheat and barley. In latest designs, as at Cley Hill and at Guys Cliffe, Old Milverton, Coventry, Warwickshire, these layers are used to give extra dimension to the design. It is no coincidence the Cley Hill formation is called the hypercube. It is the closest anyone has ever come to creating a fourth dimensional geometric form in essentially a two-dimensional drawing. The layered crop and the deliberate care with which it has been folded creates an optical illusion of a tesseract – a hypothetical cube in fourth-dimensional space. Its supreme success is that this illusion is visible only from above. And yet, when used as a graphic to focus on for meditation, the design catalyzes amazing changes in perception. A new video compiled from old footage from Carl Sagan’s ‘Cosmos’ is worth watching for his delightful explanation of the tesseract.

The tesseract has a theoretical connection with the mid-May oil seed rape formation at Wilton Windmill whose binary code translated as the mathematical theorem known as Euler’s Identity. Euler’s formula, expressed as the equation (e ^ (i * Pi) + 1 = 0), exists and is provable, but for several years nobody knew what it meant. The tesseract is provable as a geometric figure, but, because it exists in the fourth dimension, nobody (human) has yet been able to create one. Julian Gibsone, director of the Cropcircleconnector DVDs, describes this crop formation as inspiring a ‘journey to the edge of knowledge’.

Old Milverton crop circle July 10 reminiscent of Basil Spence 'crown-of-thorns' rood screen

Following hard on its heels, but in common with this season’s use of ancestral strongholds to display 21st-century phenomena, another complex and multi-layered formation appeared near Coventry on July 10th at Guy’s Cliffe, Old Milverton. Its siting near a medieval chapel, ancient caves and a castle mentioned in the Domesday Book is not accidental.

Basil Spence crown-of-thorns rood screen in the Gethsemane chapel at Coventry

It has been seen both as an amazing piece of crop art and as a representation of the ‘crown of thorns’ screen designed by Basil Spence for the ‘new Coventry cathedral’ rebuilt after WWII.

The phenomenon has become a movement; its messages strengthen a growing number of people who are choosing a spiritual path. People who meet inside the formations describe feelings of peace, brotherly love, and display kindness and shared belief with one another. Farmers, rather than banning people from walking in their crops, are increasingly open to allowing visitors inside formations — so long as they approach via the tramlines — and donation boxes are becoming commonplace.

The movement has been hugely encouraged by an electronic presence: much interaction and shared opinion is generated by groups on the social network, Facebook. They include Crop Circles Index, a recent multilingual addition providing great CC resources; another group, ‘Report a Crop Circle’ attracts 2,910 ‘FB members’, encourages communication on crop circle discovery, meaning and speculation along with related solar phenomena. The much-vaunted Crop Circle Connector website has a reputation for being first base for reporting new formations and its homepage has a forum for discussion. It also has a Facebook page of 3,473 Circle Chasers with daily interaction. Croppies no longer function as isolated eccentrics rushing from pub to pub between field sightings. Croppiedom has hit the mainstream.

Huge neolithic stronghold, ancestral hilltop monument nurturing its 21stC offspring in the amphitheatre below

As if to emphasize this new status, the Cley Hill, Warminster circle site, like most 2010 chosen locations, has huge ancestral stronghold connections, stunning views, and is described by Julian Cope as ‘significant to a powerful Neolithic race.’

Unlike the Hopi or the Maya, the English are nothing if not an urbane and modern First World race, supremely disinterested and disconnected from their ancestors, in dire need of reconnection, it might seem. Crop formations in recent years — and particularly in 2010 — have invariably been sited within the precinct of an ancient stronghold. A hint perhaps?

“At the time of the 13 Baktun and 13 Ahau is the time of the return of our Ancestors and the return of the men of wisdom.” Maya prophecy

In England, there is no Merlin figure any more, no ancestral role model with white flowing beard to bring ancient knowledge to the people. The Maya in Guatemala, on the other hand, keep a living record — in the person of Don Alejandro Oxlaj, ‘Wandering Wolf’, Grand Elder and Day Keeper of the Calendar of the Maya, 13th generation Quiche High Priest and Head of the Continental Council of Elders and Spiritual Guides of the Americas. The spiritual welfare of the 21st Century Maya of Guatemala is in his hands. He is charged with the duty as primary keeper of the teachings, visions and prophecies of the Maya. While the Maya have no autonomy recognized by the government of Guatemala, their culture is strong and deeply rooted in their historic prophecies. One of their most potent ones expresses the need for all peoples from all countries to come together to help save the earth:

“Those of the Center, with their mystical bird Quetzal, unite the Eagle of the North with the Condor of the South; we will meet because we are one, like fingers of the hand.”

In their view, behavior of human beings all over the world has to change: become more in tune with life on Planet Earth. It is our joint responsibility. Their invitation from the Indigenous Race is extended to everyone, to help rescue human life, save the planet and thus inherit a healthy future for ourselves and our children.

If there were ever such a tradition in England, it has long been forgotten. True, there are hints of ancient lore: that Arthur will rise again when his people are in their hour of greatest need. But it pales by comparison with the strength of combined Mayan tradition.

Perhaps this is what crop circles are doing for the people of Britain. Britain was once Great. Britain was once a force to be reckoned with. Britain saw the Roman presence evacuate in AD420. It held off the Goths, and yet allowed in the Angles, the Saxons and Jutes; eventually Normans. In the mingling, we seem to have lost some of our ancestral connections: our connection with the Land. And it is this synchronization with the spirit of place which crop circles seem to want us to recognize: to tune once more into earth energy, that sacred electromagnetic force which our ancestors recognized, understood and held sacred. If we allow ourselves to tune into our planetary ‘garden’, we are half way towards understanding that feeling of joy which Mother Earth extends to us; wants to rekindle in us.

It has been said that joy is the stargate through which we may reach that ‘promised land’: that sense of place and comfortable being when we are at one with our spiritual home. In esoteric tradition, joy lifts the vibration of a person’s resonance and as one’s vibratory level increases, as one vibrates at a higher frequency, doors begin to open that were closed before. Things happen miraculously, events fall into place. A laugh, a smile can open that door, that stargate.

So, if this summer is the summer we start to ascend– we may already have risen a level. If we can see/experience the tesseract, it’s already happened. Then the next level, the fifth dimension, is also attainable, just a step farther. If we focus our intent: practise meditation, make it part of our life. By revving up our joy vibration, we get to speed up the process. As Joseph Campbell says, atune our nature to Nature.

The aperture which joy opens for us now is the stargate to the next dimension: across the Rainbow Bridge, it’s only a peal of laughter away.
