Our Earth Climate—Going with the Flow or Shifting the Goalposts

February 29, 2016

2015 hottest & most active on record. Can we take it? Or will we break it?

Last December’s climate conference in Paris set a goal—agreed on by the Earth’s most powerful mid-East, West and Southern nations—to hold our combined increase in the global average temperature to two degrees Centigrade (2ºC) /Celsius, or 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit—above pre-industrial levels.

Now February 2016 has already reached world temperature limit, see below.

Climate-speak—no time for fairytale flowery language: do or die

If we continue at the rate we’ve been going, NASA’s climatology computer model shows dramatic swings happening in world temperature, volcanic activity, and rainfall—not in twenty years, but in two.

As the predicted temperatures rise, the same group of scientists admit that ‘model uncertainty’ grows: that means it becomes increasingly more likely that we will experience “unforeseen, often disastrous” events. Hurricane Katrina? Just a fond memory.

It’s doubtful we’ll hold the line at two degrees Centigrade, but we need to give it our best shot. With anything that exceeds that target, we’re talking about enormous changes in global precipitation and temperature patterns, huge impacts on water and food security, and significant sea level rise

‘I believe future generations will look back on 2015 as an important but not decisive year in the struggle to align politics and policy, with science. This is an incredibly hard thing to do. On the science side, there has been a steady accumulation of evidence over 15 years, that climate change is real’

Piers is convinced that if we continue unabated on this trajectory—i.e. make promises and do nothing—we could lead ourselves into a very uncomfortable, even dangerous, place.

Climate Ceiling Reached
The hottest on record is no joke in NASA and NOAA kingdoms. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration at Goddard and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration take their newest computer science statistics seriously.

In perfect (space) timing, January 17th was launch date for Jason-3, the Space people’s answer to their weather-prediction prayers.

For this beauty*, NASA and NOAA cooperated with the French space agency to get their baby strategically placed in orbit—understandably—to monitor North American shores—impacting both Atlantic and Pacific coasts. Their data will also serve wider world systems on other shores.

Jason-3 adds to a twenty-three-year satellite monitoring of global sea surface maximum height levels—a measurement with scientific, commercial and practical applications related to climate change.
It is essentially a record of world currents and weather. Jason-3 data will be used for monitoring global sea level rise, researching human impacts on oceans, aiding prediction of hurricane intensity, and has marine navigation capability.

Its initial 2016 mission—is planned to last a minimum of three years.

*Sadly the Falcon-9 rocket, planned after re-entry to be recycled in the best Space Shuttle tradition, failed to land on its target—an unmanned platform in the Pacific—exploded and destroyed the platform. Oh well, another $1million down the tubes. Back to the drawing board for Vandenberg air base buffs.

Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch…

What can we back on Earth do?

Instead of multiple repetitive wars among ourselves, it’s been suggested we combine our intelligence for a war on emissions.

Early 2016 has been a hard year for Earth-First proponents, particularly in the Pacific NorthWest where the lungs of the planet—the Giant Redwoods, Bristlecone Pine and Douglas Fir—reside. This ‘carbon storage unit’ of age-old trees has been functioning well until quite recently. Then some of the lumber companies—instead of respecting the tradition of replant, restore, regenerate—succumbed to the old dollar bribe:
success in any industry, it seems, is measured by the bottom line of the balance sheet.

Local so-called environmentally-friendly forestry interests—some calling themselves ‘Resource’ companies—have, over a generation, acquired tens of thousands of acres of ancient trees illegally from original California settlers, and are systematically felling them in the name of ‘harvest’.

The Caledonian Forest in Scotland is a prime example of successive raiders, decimating or razing to the ground every living thing—in the name of war—or progress. Sadly, while we may have learned how, we seem unable to implement our new knowledge: that wildlife—especially tree forms—maintain a balance which we humans have difficulty grasping: that our life on Earth would be a devastation—a vast wilderness—if we were to continue, to run amok, clear-felling our way to oblivion.

It happened to the precursor of the Sahara Desert. Now Namibia. And it’s occurring all over Brazil. More shocking, it’s happening in our own backyard—in the midst of the most-politically-correct university community in North America. And we seem blind to the signs, the gradual erosion of what was once a flourishing planetary breathing system—healthy ancient trees.

Our attitude to forests—their vibrancy, and consequently our own continuing existence—seems faulty.

In Europe during both world wars, all participating countries felled trees to build with, and to burn—as part of the ‘war effort’.

France decimated the Alsace region and felled throughout the Loire valley, regardless of ‘aspect’—the term used in gardens of great houses, when meshing planting with a pleasant view. In Germany—while many southern forests were left untouched—e.g. Schwarzwald, Poland, Eastern bloc, northern trees suffered in an endless drive for more war fuel.

Scotland suffered heavily. Deterred from obliterating millennium-old giant yews in their own home counties, the English pounced on (what was left of) the Caledonian Forest in Aberdeenshire, Kincardine and Forfar, and finished off what raiders had begun centuries before.

Most ‘recently’, Robert the Bruce, self-crowned king of Scots, began his march a.k.a. tree-burning at the Battle of Barra, 1308, in central Aberdeenshire and burned his army’s route thirty miles to the North Coast. The Caledonian forest—pine in particular—never recovered.

The Caledonian Forest had only just revived after Roman burning!

North Britain Conquest and Retreat

In November of AD83, as winter began its icy grip, Roman general Agricola pushed for one more battle in North Britain, before retiring to the comfort of Rome. It is said he took the Caledonians by surprise, but it is more likely Roman foot soldiers had more leverage on steep mountain terrain than the antiquated wooden chariots of the Picts. Rallied by the piercing cry of their battle-horn, the fearsome gold boar-headed carnyx, thirty thousand Caledonians gathered on the slopes of Bennachie. Ten thousand bodies were left dead after the battle.

Solitudinem faciunt Pacem appellant
They create a Wilderness and call it Peace—Calgacus exhorting his Caledonian tribes to battle at Mons Graupius

Tacitus could not possibly have known what Calgacus said to his troops before the battle of Mons Graupius—GRAMPIAN mountain range in Aberdeenshire—even the Chieftain’s name fails to appear in any Kinglist. Yet this one particular phrase from his speech has a genuine feel about it, as if Tacitus had heard it himself from the lips of captured Pictish warriors, and was moved to write it down. Publius Cornelius Tacitus’s job on the march was that of recording the exploits of his father-in-law, Gnaeus Julius Agricola (AD40-93), on the British campaign. They returned to Rome long before the snows took hold, leaving devastation behind.

Heartland of the Caledonian Forest—Aberdeenshire—was historically hit hardest. Unlike Westcoast Scotland, soil and climate here are receptive, rich and varied. The balmy Gulf Stream circles the Orkneys and Ultima Thule and then streams towards these ‘lowland’ hills, bringing balanced seasons to an already rich environment.

Climate, soil and people are more fertile/kindly than in rocky west coast ravines. Caledonian Scots pine, pinus sylvestris thrives. So does farming.

19thC tree-felling was kinder on California Redwoods, leaving more natural gaps for regeneration

IMG_8075When the Romans burned their way north, they were looking for gold. They found rebellious tribes and left them for dead, along with their forests. Robert the Bruce, in the summers of 1308-1310, burned the hunting (pine) forests of his rival for the throne, Comyn Earl of Buchan, and left nothing behind.

Two world wars finished off what was left of minimal remaining Caledonian pine stands.

Now, centuries on, Scotland’s Forestry Commission helps smallholders and landowners to replant oases of indigenous forest—pine, birch, oak and hazel—with maintenance grants to keep them sheep-and-deer-free—not an easy task in what are now (2000 years later) rich agricultural rolling meadows.
Other private agencies—like Trees for Life Scotland—have initiated their own planting programs, restoring pine, birch and aspen in deer-free ‘exclosures’, to encourage regeneration of natural understorey. Pine marten, snowy owl, crossbill, goldfinch and crested tit have all returned to such reclaimed woodland.

Biomass—Use or Abuse of Alternative Fuel

Controversially, Humboldt State University—seen by many academic institutions as a forerunner of enlightened attitude to use of technology within the natural environment—has mistakenly taken up the cudgel of biomass—as a back-door entry into the thorny climate problem. Unfortunately, their research has not been completely transparent and investigation reveals ‘substantial’ funding from forestry interests which are not impartial to the outcome of the University’s plan.

Biomass, seen as waste from a single campfire, may be relatively harmless to our atmosphere. Big business biomass, however—the University declares it will run its whole energy program on biomass fuel, instead of conventional statewide power sources—comprises woodland waste: milling detritus, forest-floor leftovers, mixed in a suitably nice cocktail of machine oil, sawdust sweepings, with an occasional drop of diesel—to go.

Local Earth-First activist group Climate Crisis Humboldt spoke in forum last week with HSU Senate, suggesting they reconsider their plan, and deliberation is underway within the hallowed halls.

The Humboldt climate group’s cry has not gone unheard. They are supported by European and international interests, embodied in Friends of the Earth, who are pushing for cancellation from the (higher—U.S.) Senate!

There is hope—if the state’s most northern university changes, the rest of California’s campuses will follow their lead. There is already considerable antipathy in the county towards the underhanded way in which funding from a local forestry giant has been offered as bait.
After it was pointed out to them that more carbon is stored by older/larger trees, than by acres of smaller young saplings, the company’s tree-felling operations have been temporarily halted by popular demand.

Global Temperatures Already Rising

Now statistics for February 2016 already show a marked upward trend, with unprecedented temperatures in both hemispheres.

February 2016 global temperatures already reached top limit

February 2016 global temperatures already reached top limit

As March brings spring growth, the climate question will come up again and again. Earth Day—April 20th—celebrating John Muir‘s birthday and his “wilderness America”—is targeted by tree sitters, EarthFirsters and volunteer forest guardians in Pacific NorthWest, in their march for the trees.

Earth Mother is indeed listening to our cries this spring. And if we choose to mend our ways, she might even forgive us and bring back her beauty—or her Beast.

It’s our choice. Our future.

Solar-Serpent bonding: Earth’s Love Affair with the Light

August 22, 2012

Let the Voyage begin——

Amid wild celebrations last week for the Mars Curiosity-Rover project, only a small cheer went up in the world of sky-watchers, astronomers and space-fans, to mark on August 20th the thirty-fifth anniversary of the Voyager launches.

What is more significant—but less broadcast—is the fact that Voyager-2 (launched August 20th, 1977) and Voyager-1, (two weeks later on September 5th, 1977)—now at 9.3 billion and 11 billion miles/18 billion kilometers respectively from the sun—are encountering their first brush with a new horizon: the ‘heliopause’~~~ entry into the intersteller void.

Since 2005 Voyager-1 has been exploring the outer layer of the bubble of charged particles which the sun blows around itself: its heliosphere, a cocoon of electromagnetism which buffers it and us, its planetary children, from the bombardment of cosmic rays from interstellar regions.

Suddenly our envoys—the Voyager twins—enter a whole new dimension: heliopause, between solar system and hyperspace

At interstellar interface, NASA expected a trio of changes:
1. strength of solar particle bubble or ‘mist’ to weaken, as the edge of the field, the heliosheath, was reached;
2. increased interaction with the interstellar field and consequent bombardment of cosmic rays;
3. polarity shift of the cosmic magnetic field in relation to the solar magnetic field.

Then last month, in one day—July 28th—as if fulfilling their dreams, data from Voyager-1′s cosmic ray instrument panel showed the level of high-energy cosmic rays originating from outside our solar system had jumped dramatically—by five percent. During the last half of that same day, the level of lower-energy particles originating from inside the solar system had correspondingly dropped—by half. NASA Astrophysicists seemed confident to announce that Voyager-1 has crossed into interstellar space.

Angels and Dragons*
Meanwhile back on Earth, despite continuing adverse weather conditions persisting since July, the croppie community in Wiltshire were holding their breath, waiting for the 2012 season ‘finale’ when, invariably in the past, August makes its last summer statement amid the ‘waves of grain’.

Stanton St Bernard (3 phases); dripping with sundog terminals, light-enhanced sacred temple towers lead to angelic orbs with a fairytale fanstasy feel

In contrast to the glorious summer of 2011, when crop circles seemed blessed by farmers willing to tolerate both their impromptu appearance and the visitors they generated, 2012 circle designs have had a hard time. Long gaps—days of rain with no crop circles—frustrated CC-watchers. The weather is not all to blame. For reasons known only to some farmers themselves, 2012 crop imprints have suffered heavy losses from immediate cutting; but because the CC fraternity—so forgiving, so believing—are backed up by such a strong and dedicated team of hang-gliding, microlite and fixed-wing pilots and photographers, not a single image has been “lost”. The designs may no longer fill a space in the fields, but their images linger in cyberspace for continued enjoyment, meditation, discussion, and analysis—of which there has been plenty.

So those few rare events which survived, especially those like Stanton St.Bernard, above, which attracted successive phases, have been like manna from heaven.

Earlier in 2012…

Avebury’s dramatic neolithic double-ramparts provide an arena to view the August 1st triple serpents, in a field bounded on the E by sacred Green Path/ancient Ridgeway

For those who are only now discovering the depth of the croppie belief system, it may help to know that various pet theories perpetuate among long-term students of the phenomenon, particularly in 2012: among them that they display—
—Calendar system(s) of the Maya; where rendezvous with Galactic Center between winter solstice December 21st, 2012 and January 5th, 2013 marks the end of one five-thousand-year cycle and the beginning of another;

—In several native American traditions, 2012 foretold as the time of ‘Return of the Ancestors’; also interpreted as the time when the people of the Earth will see the light and return together to ‘ancestral ways’ of nurture, respect for and—in many cases—worship of sacred places;
—Return of Aztec god Quetzalcoatl—Kukulkan of the Maya—heralded by complex ‘signs in the heavens’, including Venus transit, solar fireworks and striking planetary conjunctions;
—Fulfilment of Biblical prophecies, some based on even earlier Sumerian, Arab or Egyptian myth;
—Heavenly antics, comets, auroral and spectral phenomena and including star and planet alignments not seen for 26,000 years, or one backward cycle of the solar system through all twelve signs of the zodiac on the celestial ecliptic: the precession of the equinoxes.

Voyager and the Voyage

2012 Finale: Woodborough/Picked Hill August 20—earlier designs all rolled into one—feathered serpent head, starlight twinkling terminals, world faith symbols & power of coiled dragon energy dance within an orb—who could ask for more?

It may be wishful thinking to see Voyager’s capsule of electromagnetic plasma in this August 20th —anniversary— crop circle, left; and there are certainly other intriguing similarities in it to explore: it has a recognizable ‘signature’—light-enhanced terminals, feathered-serpent curving orb-filled body—which over this season has made repeat appearances, like a familiar artist illustrating a beloved fairy tale, bringing together individual jigsaw pieces from his house of cards, his rainbow palette, each successive glyph a mirror or a fragment of the one before: to make one cohesive whole. At the same time the Woodborough/Picked Hill creation strikes a chord on a subliminal level, making the subconscious conscious; activating elements within us we barely understand ourselves.

Among the first to arrive, and last to leave, dragon tadpoles (Woodborough, June 9th) offspring of the Woodborough Hill finale, August 20th, have survived intact until harvest this week.

Encapsulated in its multi-liminal design, above, are elements suggested in the earlier motifs (players on June and July’s bucolic stage are described in my July 11th blog); some see this season’s multiple appearances as Earth Energy, Dragon Force, others as the influence of the famed St Michael (ley) line, or fluctuating electromagnetic waves, posing as pictures in already ripe barley and wheatfields.

So, when the apparent finale appeared Monday morning August 20th—harvested within hours by an irate farmer convinced that his field had been vandalized by board-and-string ‘hoaxers’—believers were doubly grateful for the presence-of-mind of at least two microlite/aircraft photographers who were able to capture aerial images for the croppie audience.

Picked Hill is a marvel of symbolism:

incorporating in electromagnetic shorthand, visual reminders of half a dozen of the season’s most provocative designs, while simultaneously triggering subliminal stimulus in the human observer. It encompasses the oval (‘alien’) head of Hinton Parva, July 25th, mirrored in both Picked Hill-1 ‘nest’ (July 9th, harvested) and Avebury’s triple serpents, August 1st, below, whose own sundog sparkles point SE, indicating the direction of the serpents’ final resting place. In addition, as the observer is led out from the central ‘brain cortex’ of the oval head, it can be visualized as the crown chakra, seen from above (implication: a higher dimensional view) which appears to connect via a slim sparkling sliver—kundalini’s silver umbilical cord of light—to the soul;

Etchilhampton July 28th, piercing the heliosheath, V-ger enters hyperspace; or the crescent/decrescent cycles of Venus and Moon? various interpretations abound

the central crescent whose elaborate shadow featured in the Etchilhampton ornate double crescent crop circle of July 28th, below right, is like a decorative pinnacle on a sacred mosque, looking east; but the same Woodborough crown chakra, when skewed horizontally, transforms into an all-seeing eye [eye of Horus, humankind’s pineal gland, inner third eye]; and the feathered headdress associated with Kukulcan, feathered serpent Sun-god of the Maya—another allusion to the mingling of sunlight with dragon energy in the earth; the whole formation is surrounded by the same psychedelic sparkling terminals seen in the fairytale Vimana-angel-sundog formation of Stanton St.Bernard pictured above [phase 1 June 29th, phase 2 July 17th, phase 3 July 20th], completed exactly one month ago.

Woodborough, viewed sideways, displays the all-seeing eye, the crescent forming a glint of light within the iris

Curiously, its feathers cresting the familiar sharp-egg shape—oval—are unevenly spaced and numbered, their axis and that of the central sickle-Muslim crescent aligned a little to the east of south, which has inspired some to calculate ‘moons’ until December solstice this year. We may not all be left-hemisphere calculators with determination to master complex number systems, but spatially, there are other pointers in the formation. As apex of a triangle no more than half a mile across, its imaginary SE arm points to July 9th ‘nesting serpent’ (obliterated), while a half mile to SW, the triangle’s other arm alights on the energy serpent/tadpole babies spawned June 9th on the other side of Picked Hill—miraculously still intact. This is where the solar-serpent love affair has come to rest. In spite of having her first nest trashed, she chose Picked Hill to return and try again.

New Horizons

‘Central sun’ motif at the centerpoint of the Milk Hill design, August 5th. iPhone GPS, cellphones and compasses were reported to malfunction; superb poleshot, Stuart Dike

At a most basic level, magnetic fields are produced only by electricity; and the powerful limestone aquifer of Wiltshire, in particular around Woodborough, Alton Barnes, Milk Hill and Avebury, invariably attracts and produces conditions conducive to the generation of that energy. So, with new eyes, we may wish to observe Earth within the context of our Universe as electrically charged, electrically based and electrically-operated. Fluctuating solar flares and increasing sunspot activity only encourage the love affair perpetuated from the dawn of time between our star and our Earth Mother. It needs only a tiny stretch of the imagination to feel the deep resonance between such a powerful star and its watery planet offspring. Each year as solar energy beats down (sometimes mercilessly) on the Pale Blue Dot we call home, we revel in summer, anticipate another crop circle season, and enjoy the timeless beauty of light, on which we all depend. August is a month of bountiful plenty; of forgetfulness of what winter resurrects when our star deserts us to shine on the opposite hemisphere.

Miraculously, a power greater than we can imagine ordains that even after the severest of winters, our star—forever entwined in its loving embrace with our serpent/Earth mother—will see us through and the light will return.

The journey of 2012 may seem little different from, say, 2011, 2010, but we don’t all have to be empaths to figure that something fundamental has changed. It’s not just that Voyager has reached the outer edge of our system of knowledge, and the journey onward from here into the unknown is one we all now must share responsibly, no longer take for granted.

Our ancestors—from diverse cultures and traditions—all shared earth wisdom as part of understanding life’s cycles. The crop circle theme of 2012, if one single theme is identifiable, may be just that: we are passengers in a starship driving rudderless through the void; and while the engine powering our voyage towards Galactic Center at midwinter clearly adores our Mother-Serpent-Earth, it is a carefree lover, with eight other planets in tow, careening headlong towards the Dark Rift in the Milky Way, with the same abandon displayed by the Voyager interstellar probes who even now are entering their own new region of space. We, human operators of the Earth ship have a responsibility as caretakers and it is time to take care of our home. We are made up of stardust, “billion year-old carbon”, and we…

Battlestar E.L.E.: Extinction or Elevation Event?

June 24, 2011

Human 'cosmophobia' given expression in disaster movies

SciFi epics are all the rage these days. Television and the internet regularly screen such marvels of CGI (computer-generated imaging) as the amazing 1950s classic, ‘The Day The Earth Stood Still’ rereleased 2008, and Dennis Quaid’s (2004) ‘Day After Tomorrow’. What they have in common are scenes of human extinction, the battle for Earth against cosmic forces; an unprepared planet at the mercy of the Final Frontier. Even more heroic — human ingenuity in the face of impending disaster — were earlier blockbusters like the classic (1972) Bruce Dern ‘Silent Running’, Roland Emmerich’s (director of Day After Tomorrow) Independence Day (1996) and the Bruce Willis spacetale, Armageddon, 1998, the latter depicting incoming deep space objects of massive proportions. Independence Day served to insert the acronym ELE (extinction-level event) into popular idiom. Conflated by huge world interest in the zero hour of cultural calendar systems in December 2012, the human imagination soars.

Comet Elenin: incoming at the edge of Mars orbit, but still invisible to backyard Earth telescopes

So it is into this fertile ground that the UFOlogist media and internet doom-blogs plant scary stories about incoming celestial objects: for instance, the current preoccupation with:
comet C/2010 X1 Elenin (discovered 10-12-10)
comet C/2011 L3 McNaught (his 68th discovery)
and stray wanderers from the asteroid belt, between Mars and Jupiter. There is even an acronym for them: PHAs: potentially-hazardous asteroids.

It is true, comet Elenin, discovered December 10 2010 by Russian astrometrist Leonid Elenin, appeared to take American space-sweeping probes by surprise; the Russian announcement prompted the backdated release of a document detailing NASA’s preparations for (potentially) destructive deep-space objects in near-earth orbit (NEO), seen in the Letter from the White House last October, supposedly before Elenin was discovered by the Russian astronomer. However the Obama Administration’s budget request for NASA for 2011 called for near-quadrupling of the 2010 budget for NEO-surveillance from $5.8million to $20.3million. So it is likely there was already knowledge ‘within the system’ of an impending threat.

Not all the Elenin-hype is ballistic. Some respected names gathered in Honolulu mid-June, to discuss the significance of Elenin’s earth-grazing orbit later this year on September 11 (10th anniversary of 9/11) and October 28 — coinciding with the end-date of the Mayan calendar (Carl Calleman version). The Camelot Roundtable Elenin video Conference, June 24th, was hosted by Kerry Cassidy, featuring Richard Hoagland, Dr Joseph Farrell, Keith Hunter, Dr Carl Johan Calleman, and Andy Lloyd.

Earth alone against the Cosmos

“We live in nervous times, and conspiracy theories and predictions of disaster are more popular than ever. I like to use the word cosmophobia for this growing fear of astronomical objects and phenomena, which periodically runs amok on the Internet. Ironically, in pre-scientific times, comets were often thought to be harbingers of disaster, mostly because they seemed to arrive unpredictably -– unlike the movements of the planets and stars, which could be tracked on a daily and yearly basis.”
David Morrison, planetary astronomer and senior scientist at NASA’s Ames Research Center

End-Times Scenario
There are several versions of the Elenin story on the internet, not least that of the believers in its causing a pole reversal or blackout of the sun. However, astronomical observation has thus far estimated Elenin’s mass to be not larger than recent historical comets.

Elenin emergency window: preparing for underground living in the Ozarks

“The bottom line is this: Comet C/2010 X1 Elenin is coming, and it will pass by Earth at an extremely safe distance -– 100 times the distance from Earth to the Moon. It will not be changing direction between now and then, it will not exert any gravitational effect on Earth, its magnetic field is nonexistent and there are no Star Destroyers cruising in its wake. The biggest effect it will have on Earth is what we are able to learn about it as it passes –- after all, it is a visitor from the far reaches of our solar system and we won’t be seeing it again for a very, very long time.”
Jason Major, The UniverseToday

It is curious, therefore, that NASA’s WISE telescope, the Wide-field Infrared survey Explorer (launched December 2009) had its NEO-scanning/sky mapping telescope ‘shut down’ in February 2011, after only a year in orbit. NASA/JPL announced it would be in ‘hibernation until needed’.

Might one suggest that NASA is not giving the full story? After all even we, hoi polloi, the uninitiated masses, know that solar eruptions and increasingly frequent coronal mass ejections (CMEs) have a trigger effect on communications, both on the electromagnetic field of terrestrial networks and satellites in orbit.

Meanwhile, back at the Ranch…where were all the crop circles? Why weren’t they signaling their annual messages in code?

The Late Crop Circle season of 2011

Dry English landscape at Westwoods Lockeridge, Wiltshire; solstice crop circle centre foreground,

Britain — in particular, Wessex and the southwest — had a remarkably dry spring; April was the hottest on record; grain in wheatfields was not swelling for lack of rain, the ground was cracking: a phenomenon usually restricted to northern European farming communities in France and Spain. May turned wet and cool: a little late to quench parched soil or fill shrunken seedheads. English field crops were looking a little like north African desert-paddies. There were more inspiring crop circles in Italy than in Oxfordshire.

The farming community in England was on the point of raising a cheer because so very few (11 total) circles of intricate design had appeared in Wiltshire and Hampshire during April and May. Perhaps they might survive a whole season from planting until harvest, without their crops being trampled upon by sightseers…

Telescopic crop circle in Worlaby amphitheatre, Louth near Humber, Lincolnshire, June 18, 2011, photo David Jones

And then, just as the longest day – solstice/June 21st – approached, things started hotting up. Two meaningful designs –seen to be astronomically connected– showed up on June 18th: one at Louth in Lincolnshire near the Humber estuary (rather far away from the usual Wiltshire hub), sporting a telescopic lens with three crescent moons; and the other at Kings Somborne, Hampshire — avidly pounced on and analyzed by the croppie community for its clear depiction of the inner solar system — but showing a couple of ‘intruders’. Two nights later, four more materialized out of the corn overnight on solstice itself. These were, as expected, back in the Wiltshire heartland. Croppies breathed a sigh of relief.

The great trilithons of Stonehenge are renowned for being inaccessibile most of the year, but the bronze age astronomical stone clock is famously opened to the public and special interest groups for their celebration of the rising sun over the heel stone at dawn on summer solstice. So it was fortuitous that two of the four crop circles appearing on June 20/21 (at Winterbourne Stoke, near Stonehenge) –seemed to arrive just in time for that human solstitial ritual.

Inner solar system crop circle with 'intruders' at Kings Somborne, Hampshire June 18, 2011, photo Steve Alexander

While the Stonehenge formations at Winterbourne Stoke were interesting, it was the earlier motifs of the inner solar system and lunar symbolism which caught the attention of the analysts. Some interpeters have suggested increasing earth tremors in a longterm timeframe (including dates extending through 2012-13-14).There has been a rash of speculation on Facebook. In the scientific domain, veteran crop circle detective-mathwiz-numerologist Red Collie –Dr. Horace R. Drew– was quick to come up with an astro scenario for the ‘inner solar system’ Cow Drove Hill formation at Kings Somborne, using NASA/JPL’s near-earth object imaging program, reproduced as a single image here for June 26th, 2011; courtesy CropCircleConnector and NASA/JPL. Collie feels something is imminent this weekend: in the solstitial period between June 24-27, 2011.

NASA/JPL NEO imaging for Elenin approach with orbital positions of the inner planets at June 26, 2011, courtesy JPL

He likens the diagram to the 2009 astrolabe crop circle formed in three phases at Milk Hill below the White Horse at Alton Barnes…

‘…an astronomical event predicted at Milk Hill in June 2009, where some “mystery object” was supposed to suddenly brighten not far from the orbit and location of Mars in June of 2011, after a five-planet alignment in early June’
Dr Horace Drew — ‘Red Collie’

There was indeed a five-planet alignment in our dawn skies in the month of May and early June. And comets Elenin and McNaught are headed our way. Elenin is presently clearing the outer perimeter of Mars’ orbit. Intruder number one.

By his reckoning, [with the help of NASA’s NEO generation], the solar system orbits and the inner planets’ positions indicated in the crop circle plot to planetary positions ranging between the dates of June 21-27, 2011. Collie also suggested that the contemporary crop appearance in Lincolnshire with its three crescent moons “and a spiral symbol, suggesting perhaps three days later on June 21”.

I tend rather to believe that, as earth-wisdom and ancient belief systems were accustomed to likening ‘moons’ to months, the Humber estuary formation at Louth is more likely to be directing our attention (through the ‘scope) to three months’ hence: to a time in late September 2011 when, according to the JPL graphic prediction, above, comet Elenin will be nearing its closest approach to Earth orbit i.e. on its outward journey to deep space, it will graze our planetary path within 0.2AU of Earth, at just under 2million miles away (or 1,860,000 miles) along our path round the sun, just before we fly through the debris of its retreating tail. While, according to NASA scientists, quoted, the comet’s tail may not produce fireworks, it might very well affect our weather systems. So far Spaceweather has had very little to say about that. Again, we shall have to wait and see.

Others have seen yesterday’s earthquake in Japan as a sign of confirmation. [The June 23rd tremor was a Richter 6.7 and no loss of life was reported]. In realtime, sunspot 1236 erupted on June 21st, ejecting a CME earthwards, expected June 24th. Both NOAA and SpaceWeather predict geomagnetic storms. The BBC is forecasting a heatwave for England and Wales!

Part of the ‘intruder’ conundrum may be resolved in a last-minute ‘surprise discovery’ by NASA for Monday next week:

ASTEROID FLYBY: Newly-discovered asteroid 2011MD will pass only 12,000 kilometers (7,500 miles) above Earth’s surface on Monday, June 27th.

NASA analysts say there is no chance the space rock will strike Earth. Nevertheless, the encounter is so close that Earth’s gravity will sharply perturb the asteroid’s trajectory Spaceweather

Intruder number two.

2008 asteroid TC-3 broke up over the Sudan, photo NASA

We may indeed be in for a rough spell of spaceweather, and given that ‘Earth’s gravity will sharply perturb the asteroid’s trajectory’ — that’s another way of saying it might very well come closer than they think. Besides, our Moon coasts round us at a mean distance of 239,000 miles. Asteroid ‘Doc'[2011MD] will graze us inside moon orbit 32 times closer than the moon herself. Even without earth’s gravitational pull, it means the asteroid will pass within two earth atmospheres of Earth (the thermosphere, highest of earth’s atmospheric layers, reaches to a depth of 6,000km from earth. The asteroid will ‘fly-by’ at 12,000km). That’s pretty close. Spaceweather forecasters must have thought that, too, as their announcement describes its passage as ‘above’ us, rather than the usual astronomical (impersonal) ‘passage by’ us.

Westwoods Maltese Cross with deer-heads/vesica piscis: June 21st crop motif, suggesting peaceful intent and awareness of the sacred, will see us through

We on the surface are, however, becoming more aware as a planetary community and throughout the last few months of terrestrial storms and seismic upheaval, have gained experience as a human family to pull together both physically (with world aid agencies helping the stricken) and psychically (through a process of planetary unification, meditation, or Unity Consciousness) and we have seen how the consciousness of belief/oneness can mediate some of the worse-case scenarios. Consciousness-raising networks are even suggesting using crop circle motifs as a meditation focus. So, amidst human turmoil, there is yet hope.

Several interpretations have appeared on the internet and YouTube, but this video by Joan Wheaton gives an excellent insight into this solstitial message from the Light/orbs.
Thank you, Joan-ShumNYabai.

The battle for Earth is not precisely the best metaphor: a metaphorical concept of peace is better than one of war. And we are learning to appreciate and care for our fragile eco-world in the nick of time, because –unless we want to live underground on the Moon or in Silent Running-like bubbles on Mars — it’s the only one we’ve got. Let us pray that our Collective Consciousness — Humanity’s Oversoul — epitomized by our wonderful crop circle shorthand, is still aiming for our Highest Good.

Solar Plasma: Our Seismic Sound & Fury

March 16, 2011

How could a tone become a picture and light become a noise? Carl Sagan

Solar X-class flare October 2003--Honshu 7.0magnitude quake occurred two days later

No-one watching film footage from last Friday’s horrific 8.9-magnitude earthquake in Honshu–and in other sensitive areas of seismic activity in the Pacific–can fail to feel compassion for those affected by volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and resulting tsunamis. Japan’s death toll is currently around 10,000. Now Honshu’s crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant is in critical condition, with comparisons being made with Chernobyl (25 years ago, April 1986) and Windscale (“Sellafield“, October 1957). Other quakes are being felt in Tonga, Fiji and the Gulf of California.

Hawaii’s Kilauea erupted March 7th-11th, with subsequent quakes this week within a substratum of fissures in the Volcanic Park at the SE corner of “Big” island in the Hawaiian chain. As Kilauea has been active since 1983, little attention worldwide has been paid to this most recent activity–except by HVO who monitor constantly. Kilauea’s main eruption happened Wednesday 09-03-11.

While praying that the critical situation in Daiichi nuclear power plant will be averted, this blog wishes to reflect the supreme human effort being made to focus on what is important for Mankind, despite/because of what is happening in the active region known as the Pacific Ring of Fire.

We are beginning to realize that these seismic surprises are not isolated incidents and that they are a response to movement of the Earth’s crust and tectonic plates (lithosphere). If we do not gear ourselves up–and act as one human movement planet-wide–we may not survive the next onslaught. That’s the bad news.

The good news is that planetary emergency measures have already begun. Charities, relief agencies and US Military have pulled together to bring help to the stricken areas.

A similar response occurred after the Haiti 7.0 earthquake one year ago when over 200,000 people lost their lives. Now relief agencies are having to share resources and the Caribbean island’s restructure efforts are being put on hold, while rescue agencies and life-support groups are flown to Pacific Rim areas instead.

Pacific Rim Landfall where tsunami ripples from Friday's 8.9 magnitude earthquake reached, in hours

While quake-derived tsunami off Tokyo and Sendai, Japan resulted in the loss of life and a way of living which is locally deeply mourned, it is crucial to maintain awareness of its significance on a planetary level.

The Honshu tsunami rippled across the Pacific pond in under 12 hours, causing havoc in Hawaii, Chile, Central America and the US Northwest Pacific coastal cities of Santa Cruz, Mendocino, Eureka and Crescent City. Here rare bird colonies were wiped out, whales and shoals of sardines beached.

Meantime, New Zealand communities of Canterbury and Christchurch are still cleaning up after the February 21st 6.3-magnitude quake three miles deep in the Heathcote Valley which claimed the lives of 166 people. It does not bear thinking that one year previously the 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Haiti brought a deathtoll of 230,000. Phuket island in Thailand is only now recovering from the 9.1 magnitude quake and tidal wave of December 26, 2004 which killed 168,000 people.

There has been world response.

Somehow, despite media overkill–and possibly because of the nuclear threat– oil stocks plunged on Wall Street and individuals and environmental agencies are asking for a different response: a simpler energy solution; a cleaner way of life–pedal-power, electric/solar vehicles. This time it is possible they may be heard. It has been suggested that, as the Nipponese automobile industry will have to start from scratch, it may surprise the world in manufacturing solar-powered vehicles.

We are now four years into the new Solar Cycle #24 of waxing solar (emission) activity, with powerup to solar maximum next year, 2012. For over 150 years scientists have been able telescopically to view the sun’s surface to witness the rise and fall of sunspot cycles.

Effect of electromagnetically charged solar flare on man-made satellites and the geomagnetic sphere

“Each cycle lasts about 11 years, and in-step with this, many other cycles keep a rough cadence. Northern and Southern Lights (aurora) are more common during sunspot maximum than minimum. Titanic solar flares–brighter than a million hydrogen explosions–come and go with each cycle. But on a darker side, solar flares can kill, electrically-charged plasma can cause blackouts, and satellites can literally be forced out of the sky” Dr Sten Odenwald, Author of ‘Learning to Live with a Stormy Star‘ (Columbia Univ. Press, 2000)

Because the date 2012 has received much publicity–both positive (Mayan Long Count calendar culmination) and negative (Apocalypse End Times)– Many are aware of ‘something’ pending, hanging over us all as a species and, for the first time in a long time–an Age– we are beginnning to think as One.

We are also thinking quicker. Time–along with our learning curve–appears to be speeding up, too.

It is even possible that, with the current seismic catalyst, we are becoming, what Nikolai Kardashev via Michio Kaku calls a Level One Civilization.

Nikolai Semenovich Kardashev (Никола́й Семёнович Кардашёв) (b.1932) is a Russian astrophysicist, and director of the Russian Space Research Institute (Institute for Cosmic Research) at Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow. He is author of the (1964) paper in Soviet Astronomy “Transmission of Information by Extraterrestrial Civilizations”. He devised a scale of three categories by which a civilization is classified by the amount of usable energy it has at its disposal–plus a degree of space colonization. Others have added two higher categories.

Kardashev Type I
civilization is one able to harness all the power available on its (single) planet. The implication is that in so doing, it is able to function as ‘one’ and therefore to have mastered the supreme mark of a self-realized group: peaceful interaction.

Kardashev Type II civilization is able to harness all power available from its star.

Kardashev Type III civilization can harness all the power in a single galaxy. With the power of an entire galaxy at its disposal, a type III civilization would be able to come up with radical new power sources.

By extrapolation, a Kardashev Type IV civilization would have access to the power of an entire galactic supercluster. Kardashev Type V would be a civilization that occupies the entire universe.

Michio Kaku, theoretical physicist at New York’s City University, instigator of the Big Think discussion thinktank, and author of ‘Physics of the Future‘, released this week, suggests that, even with the Pacific crisis in full flow (and eliciting world humanitarian response), the Earth is as yet not a Category One civilization.

Carl Sagan estimated that Earth qualifies as a Type 0.7 civilization. Before he died in 1996, however–and in spite of his agnostic view–he had hopes that we might overcome our aversion to living in harmony–or rather, to lay down our weapons of war, and interact peacefully with one another. “Decency,” he said (and humility and community spirit) “in this demon-haunted world may be all that stands between us and the enveloping darkness.”

In all of the four-billion-year history of life on our planet, in all of the four-million-year history of the human family, there is only one generation privileged to live through that unique transitional moment. That generation is ours.”
Carl Sagan

This month the pragmatic scientists are having a field day. Geologists continue to profess that a connection between electromagnetic surges in solar plasma and seismic volatility within the earth’s core is “geologically implausible”.

Last month it was the turn of the theoretical and spiritual physicists–those, like Leonard Susskind and Richard Feynmann, who developed M-theory, or TOE, the Theory of Everything–a string-theory derivative that excites astrophysicists and biochemists alike.

In this [TOE] field of quantum physics, consciousness is viewed as a unified field where everything is seen as everything else. There are no boundaries. No ‘you’ and ‘me’; no ‘this’ or ‘that’. Only a field of awareness–consciousness. It has been suggested that we switch our perception from genetics to energetics: and that we recognize our bodies (and the planet) as energy vibrating at a very dense frequency.

This shift in perception creates a different way of viewing ourselves in the 3D/4D space-time continuum.

Correlation between crop circles and sound

ALBERT EINSTEIN: “Concerning matter, we have been all wrong. What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. There is no matter.”

Nature uses only the longest threads to weave her patterns, so each small piece of her fabric reveals the organization of the entire tapestry.”
Richard Feynman

It can only be a matter of time before the geologists will change their tune and realize that–if all is energy and the Sun, our parent star, an increasingly explosive mass of plasma/energy–its hurling great gobs of electromagnetic pulses in our direction is almost bound to affect us, its tiny magnetically-powered offspring, in countless ways. Causing massive rifts in the earth’s crust will be seen as only one of those myriad effects.

As a child at the 1939 New York’s World’s Fair (his revelation, at top), Carl Sagan’s own world was turned upside-down by a vision of graphs and sonic tones replicated in scientific instrumentation. Nowadays we take such intra-dimensional expression for granted. Pie charts are only a flick of the wrist away from spectrographs which reveal the magnetic cores of extra-solar planets, hurtling comets or the mystic music emitted by Neptune.

Our generation has learned that the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum–from radio waves through microwaves, infra-red, visible light, ultra-violet light, to x-rays and gamma rays– are all massless particles (photons) of the universal energy known as electromagnetic radiation, or simply Light. Light waves are fluctuations of electric and magnetic energy through space, usually expressed (by humans) in wavelength or frequency.

Sound is also measured in wavelength and frequency, with two major differences: sound (at the lowest end of the spectrum) travels at 1100ft per second; light (“C”, as expressed in E=MC2) at the high end, at 186,000mps. And while sound can travel through dense matter/objects, light cannot. The denser the material, the slower it travels, e.g. light travels around one-third more slowly through water than through air and space.

“Angels of Biblical metaphor were equated with song and the Word of God. Acoustical pressure is the only real difference between instantaneous light waves and slower material existence.” Brendan Bombaci

All faiths use sound to reach the Supreme. The early Christian church was no exception in trying to reach God through harmonies expressed within the sacred geometric environs of cathedrals. Their hallowed vaults were from earliest times designed to uplift both the supplicant and the surrounding community. Gregorian chant is the only version of this sacred music left to us. The rest of what was the Solfeggio–Sol-Fa– system of tuning into sacred tones is considered ‘lost’. Musical convention has since 1953 altered ‘concert pitch’ [A=432Hertz] to the more strident and dissonant A=440, agreed by the International Standards Orgaization (ISO) based on a previous recommendation by Joseph Goebbels in 1939. It is now the accepted standard pitch for orchestras, bands and individual instruments.

Sound as Image: the frequency of 432Hz and its trangular form

Basically, there are six Holy frequencies, the ‘original sacred tones’, called the Solfeggio.

Do 396HZ ‘Liberates guilt and fear’-–associated with releasing emotional patterns.
Re 417Hz ‘Undoing situations, facilitating change’-– breaks up crystallized emotional patterns.
Mi 528 Hz DNA Repair, ‘connecting all the strands’-–related to transformation and miracles.
Fa 639 Hz ‘connecting/relationships’-–whole brain quadrant interconnectedness.
Sol 741Hz ‘Awakening intuition’-–associated with intuitive states, non-linear knowing.
La 852Hz ‘Return to the Spiritual Order’-–a pure love frequency: unconditional love and return to spiritual order.
Doctor of Divinity David Hulse, founder of SomaEnergetics is reintroducing original sacred tones to help heal people’s lives. He believes that “ancient Solfeggio contains frequencies that can start everyone’s ascension process”.

“The body is held together by sound—the presence of disease indicates that some sounds have gone out of tune.”
Deepak Chopra

An in-depth (and exciting intellectual) treatise by Brendan Bombaci on the ancient connections between sacred geometry, music, the Sun and our archaic weights and measures system can be pondered here.

Others, from Galileo to Hans Jenny, studied Cymatics: wave patterns converted into a visual display of sound. John Stuart Reid in Britain and Jack Kassewitz in the USA together developed the Cymascope, originally to record patterns made by whales and other cetaceans in song. Their work shows remarkable correlation between patterns created by different tones in grains of sand and those designs of exquisite complexity in crop circles.

John Reid says:
“432 Hertz pops out as a triangle every time we image it.
We thought there was something wrong with the CymaScope™ but after trying for more than an hour we concluded that the number three was somehow universally connected to 432 Hertz.

“We captured it on video and it looks like it’s alive. It writhes and pulsates and refuses to take up any other form. We researched the reason why it takes up this geometry and it turns out to be an interesting case: when A is tuned to 432Hz the frequencies of the other A (octaves) shift (within a decimal point) to 27 Hz, 54, 108, 216, 864, 1728 in other octaves – all divisible by three. And the higher the frequency, the greater the geometric intricacy.

“D tuned to 576 Hz becomes 9 Hz, 18, 36, 72, 144, 288, 1152 in other octaves. E becomes 324 Hz which becomes 81 Hz, 162, 648, 1296 in other octaves. All of these frequencies are divisible by three: the cosmic triangle.”

Translated into mathematics, 432hz vibrates at the frequency of the golden mean PHI. As a Fibonacci sequence, it unifies the properties of light, time, space, matter, gravity and magnetism with biology, the DNA code and consciousness.

“There is no doubt that our present worldview is undergoing tumultuous change, and at such times, the collective unconscious of humanity reaches out for guidance. Because our thoughts are electromagnetic pulses which transcend time and space, it is possible that our request has been received, and information is manifesting in fields around the world.” Freddy Silva

The crop circle phenomenon is a product of both light and sound–both media have been witnessed by reliable sources–as light orbs and sonic high-pitched hum during their formation.

Silva’s is the enlightened ‘croppie’ view. He is among several renowned thinkers (including Kiesha Crowther) who will speak at this summer’s Prophets Conference in Glastonbury July 1-8, 2011. His view reflects that of a growing number who believe that annually recurring patterns in the English countryside and other summer pastures around the globe are created by a vibrational source that we do not yet quite comprehend.

Understanding is on the tip of our tongues, the edge of our minds. We are pushing the boundaries of higher dimensions and those dimensions are letting us in.

Progressively, in recent years, complex mathematical and geometric patterns have evolved which are more than the variable graphic produced by random cymatics. They contain an expression of our own maturing consciousness. They show intelligence at a deep resonating level which responds to an expression of our own deep need for connection to that Universal Intelligent Source.

We are getting answers.

Do we–the human race pushing our way through the cosmic birth canal to Level I–remember the question?

11:II:11 Navigating the Vortex: our Quantum Leap

February 12, 2011

Vortex, maelström, whirlpool: Nature's basic mechanism for transporting mass and energy effectively

“Nature seems to be a Book written in the Language of Mathematics” Galileo (1564-1642)

As communicators, we bloggers may sometimes feel we have been speaking but the words are not coming from inside our bodies. The words have been coming from somewhere else…

“For several months, we have been moving forward and are being released in small increments. We are in the birth canal –the tunnel– and in that space it is near impossible to ‘see’ anything. We feel we are not connected to anything. Alone in the tunnel, we have been traveling on a raft with no wind behind us, no oars and in still waters, with no-one to left or right. But now we are moving forward and this new movement is creating the strange feeling of being in two places at once.” Karen Bishop Emerging Earth Angels

Lightworker Karen Bishop suggests that the sensation of being lost, disconnected and alone will pass as humanity moves through this intermediary stage and into the great mass awakening to follow. This new sensation of bliss and purpose comes as soon as we “are enmeshed in our new spaces in a higher dimension.”

Schrödinger's Cat: quantum uncertainty principle (1935) reduced to the absurd

Higher dimensions, Alternate Reality, parallel Universes; the quantum paradox of ‘many worlds’: an unending conundrum of being in two places at the same time. Particle physicists pursuing the ‘God’ particle, Higgs-Boson, endlessly around circular underground tunnels on two continents. What do these concepts have in common?

Uncertainty principle: math simplifies quantum reality

Higher dimensions –or alternate ones– are presently the preoccupation of particle physicists, quantum cosmologists and proponents of the holographic universe in our search for the meaning of Reality. Physics, cosmology and mathematics are crossing the boundaries between science and philosophy.

New Age lightworkers are becoming more assured and vocal in their prediction of a mass awakening in human consciousness. And it looks as if science is beginning to agree.

Max Tegmark, astrophysicist, cosmologist and professor in the physics faculty at MIT in Cambridge, Mass likes the idea of parallel universes: the quantum mechanics (QM) paradox of a particle’s ability to be in two places at the same time. He sees mathematics as our ultimate connection to reality. “Math is not something we invented, but something we are continually rediscovering.”

“We now have equations that describe how light behaves, how gravity behaves, how atoms behave. We can express the speed of light in mathematical terms. It is beautiful. In math we capture the essence of a very complicated Universe out there.”

What if we were to see the Universe not as an entity that exists inside space and time, but that space and time exist inside it?Max Tegmark, Prof. of Physics, MIT

Anton Zeilinger, author of Dance of the Photons 2005, translated into German as Einsteins Spuk, ‘Einstein’s Spook’ or ‘Ghost’, has a different view. He currently heads a team at the University of Vienna who have ‘teleported’ light photons 600 meters under the river Danube. He and his Austrian team of photon-busters have proved (in their ‘double-slit’ particle experiment) a basic quantum theory that we change the nature of reality simply by observing it.

“(Quantum Theory of Reality) is exciting, it is extremely precise, it is mathematically beautiful; and it describes everything. It just doesn’t make sense.” Anton Zeilinger

Quantum cosmologist, Leonard Susskind, professor of theoretical physics at Stanford University since 1979, says the beauty of math’s connection to reality is its simplicity. It becomes easier to describe reality with mathematics. “As you probe deeper, mathematics becomes the ONLY reality.”

But in sounding the depths of the cosmos, he uncovered many unanswered questions, e.g., the popular assignment of black holes as the bad guys of the Universe. He and Stephen Hawking discussed the black hole theory in 1988 when Hawking first published his Brief History of Time. “It changed my life.”

” I believed he was wrong. I spent the next 20 years working through the evidence to prove lt.”

Hawking suggested black holes were places in the cosmos which swallowed everything. Nothing escapes after it has breached the rim — event horizon — of a black hole. All light, matter, energy, information is sucked in by its (theoretical) huge gravitational pull and is lost. Nothing comes back out.

“Hawking had to be wrong. I refused to believe everything could disappear. We can’t allow information to be ‘lost’. Instead, how about if the horizon of a back hole is 3D like a hologram capturing 3D reality of everything that falls into it?”

In 1993 he and his graduate students announced their holographic principle of the Universe: that if all reality were indeed a hologram — a 3D model of everything captured as an image of our reality — maybe black holes were images of events taking place very far away: back in time; that our reality is a projection of a holographic record stored at the outer reaches of the Universe. The team became bold. They called a consortium of the world’s top physicists to a conference at Stanford in November 2009 and Susskind invited Stephen Hawking to speak. By then, Hawking was talking about ‘sideways’ or lateral time. But he was interested in Susskind’s holographic theory. And Susskind’s team was about to put it to the test.

“He didn’t get it. You don’t get it. Nobody gets it. But we may be about to prove that the whole of creation is a hologram.”

If the Stanford team is right, their model brings quantum cosmology, the ‘Many Worlds’ interpretation and New Age spiritualism into the same arena: We are what we believe, what we think and how we see our own Reality.

Or even more spiritual in concept, that Susskind’s ‘something stored at the outer reaches of the Universe’ might be the Intelligent Being/Source from whom mystics and devotees seek enlightenment.

Does this mean that the Cosmos is coming full circle?

We are having an intelligent conversation with the Universe.

The Universe may be providing its own answer to the question.

The Sun and solar system gravitate each year to and from Galactic center (of the Milky Way), coming closest in mid-December. It is a point on the ecliptic roughly in the constellation of Sagittarius from which (in the view of many esoteric disciplines and world religions) we emerged in the dark recesses at the beginning of time. In the view of some (physicists, cosmologists) Galactic Center is a black hole. To others (esoteric/New Age science), it is the source of a massive emission of photons, beaming information towards us, a ‘photon belt’ affecting Earth and human DNA. And we are circling in an irrevocable spiral back towards the point where on December 21, 2012 Earth’s orbit in the Solar System, the Sun’s position on the ecliptic and the center of our Galaxy will line up as one.

We may reach this galactic vortex unscathed. In the mythology of the Maya, this is Hunab Ku, our galactic heart; a sign that the Mayan Long Count Calendar is complete and that Mankind will start a new Count of Time.

In world mythology, earth was ground out from the mill of the Vortex, the great Maelström, the cosmic whirlpool. And so, in the eyes of the Maya at least, we are returning to that vortex, that pool of creation.

According to some Mayan scholars, we entered the last Underworld (phase of human evolutionary Consciousness), the Universal Underworld yesterday.

In the eyes of Karen Bishop and other New Age lightworkers who have been working tirelessly to prepare for the ‘Shift’ (in human consciousness), the runup to our rendezvous with the heart of our Galaxy is a sign of our Ascension, ‘coming home’, maturing as a species. To the fearful, solstice 2012 could mean chaos, collapse of Earth systems, erratic solar and stellar behavior; even a physical shift in earth’s poles.

The Sun, our partner up there in the immediate galactic neighborhood, has indeed been leading us a dance lately. Solar activity is on the increase.

Tiny solar burst crop circle in rice at Magelang, Java January 29th, 2011

We are currently headed for solar maximum, but it’s not sunspots –traditionally seen as the barometer for solar minima and maxima— that have featured, but strong warnings of solar flares disturbing our geomagnetic field.

NOAA’s solar X-ray alert system [view sidebar at right] has been signaling ‘major storm’, ‘active’. Twin crop circles* in Java in late January were followed by a third small design reminiscent of last season’s Wiltshire solar flare warnings.

Spaceweather alert.

And last weekend the Sun itself joined the 3D holographic universe.

Last Sunday, dubbed Superbowl SUNday by NASA and the media, February 6th 2011 marked the day when the space agency’s twin STEREO satellites locked into orbit round the sun and started projecting 3D pictures of both sides of the sun back to Earth.

Affectionately known as STEREOAhead and STEREOBehind, the craft were launched in 2006 on a mission to study solar flares [coronal mass ejections, CMEs] to predict solar storms headed towards earth. The two craft reached their final position [in ‘opposition’ to each other, 180ºdegrees apart] so NASA, SOHO, and SDA are now combined to beam a wholistic continuous view of the sun back to earthbound systems.

“We expect great advances in theoretical solar physics and space weather forecasting.”

Heliophiles are jumping for joy. The 3D stereo images arrived just in time to document new coronal holes forming on the sun’s far side, which are heading to face towards us.

STEREO went into orbit round the SUN last Superbowl SUNday

STEREO is an acronym for Solar TErrestrial RElations Observatory. The two satellites now join forces with SOHO [NASA’s Solar & Heliospheric Observatory] which has carried the load of solar projections to date.

“In the past an active sunspot could emerge on the far side of the sun completely hidden from Earth. Then, the sun’s rotation would turn that region towards our planet, spitting flares and clouds of plasma, with little warning.”

Now, in the runup to solar maximum, 2012, these first 3D stereo images bring into focus our need to prepare for possible solar disruption to the geomagnetic field and earth’s electromagnetically-powered systems.

Coronal Holes, imaged from NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory

Coronal holes on the sun’s surface are the source of open magnetic field lines from which high-speed solar wind particles stream out into space. This fast solar wind travels at approximately 800 km/s [about 1.8 million mph].

When this surge reaches Earth’s magnetosphere, predictably three or four days later, some spectacular fireworks can occur. Usually the spaceweather team tries not to alarm earth populations more than they really have to. So electromagnetic disruptions to power supplies and weather systems are downplayed. Aurora borealis –northern lights– are emphasized instead.

UV image of same solar holes: coronal flares heading earthwards

“After traveling through space for a few days the particles will impact the Earth and may spark the formation of some auroral activity for lucky spectators” NASA

In NASA’s study ‘of the nature of coronal mass ejections’ the agency is not responsible for reporting on physical repercussions strong emissions [M-class flares] may have on communications, logistical and transportation systems. There are three categories of flares, X-class, M-class and C-class. C-class flares are small, with few noticeable consequences in the geomagnetic field. M-class flares are medium-sized, capable of causing brief radio blackouts, affecting Earth’s polar regions. Minor radiation storms sometimes follow an M-class flare. The largest, X-class, flares are ‘Superstorms’, major events that can trigger planet-wide radio blackouts and long-lasting radiation storms. Earth’s last major Superstorm blackout was the Carrington Event of 1859 when telegraph systems behaved erratically. But at the time the electric light had not yet been invented. **

150 years later our systems are massively dependent on NOT having magnetic surges play havoc with our electrical supply. Not to mention our telephone, television, cells, blackberries, macBooks, iPods, iPads… you get the picture.

So, is our Universe shaking its quantum hologram fist in our faces and saying ‘shape up or else…’? [In that context, we, reflections of the Intelligent Source, may be setting ourselves the test to see if we are ‘intelligent’/evolved enough to pass it].

Maelström, vortex of the Norwegian Sea

Or, is the vortex going to win? Is the black hole going to pull us in? Are we navigating the cosmic whirlpool alone with no-one to save us from drowning?

Mythology and spiritual belief predict Mankind has enough presence of mind to make a quantum leap in consciousness, to save itself. History says it’s never too late to start anew. Native American and Maya traditions say now is a good time.

I hope we’re listening.

Comet McNaught presently moving away from the Andromeda Spiral Galaxy, NGC-891, a near-twin of our own Milky Way galaxy

Throughout history the appearance of comets was seen in the mind of ancient Man as a sign of great change; a bad omen, sometimes heavenly intervention. Usually a bright comet was viewed as a ‘harbinger of doom’, a ‘messenger bringing bad luck’, or ‘death to tyrants and their evil’. But it was also seen – in the light of change – as a portent of unexpected gifts, a messenger from the gods, a shift in observation, in human awareness, a ‘quickening’. As signs in the heavens, comets were both feared and venerated.

The Romans recorded that a fiery comet was blamed for excess bloodshed in battle between Pompey and Julius Caesar in the days of the triumvirate. Shortly afterwards, another marked the Ides of March and Caesar’s assassination. Halley’s Comet was thought to have brought the Black Death in Europe. In the Andes, the Inca record a comet as foreshadowing the arrival of Francisco Pizarro. His armies conquered them and committed acts of brutality literally days after the comet disappeared.

Recent research suggests the Star of Bethlehem was either the cosmological conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in 7BC; or Halley’s comet (or a similar periodic comet)’s appearance in mid-April 5BC.

In North America indigenous Americans saw them as communication from Grandfather Great Spirit; their sudden bright appearance and disappearance marking the descent of special shaman or spirit messengers who joined their number on Earth.

The Chinese made a study of comets for centuries before written records were begun by Western society, but thought of comets as ‘vile stars’ or ‘long-tailed pheasants’ and yet they mapped and recorded their appearance and passage through the heavens.

In ancient cultures astronomy and astrology were inextricably linked – they were both sciences. And what went on in the heavens affected the lives of mere mortals on Earth.

Last week Jupiter and Uranus joined together (in astrological conjunction) in 0ºAries, the cusp degree of the fire sign of action, movement and drive. They are headed for a great opposition, three days after solstice, when a celestial Grand Cross will stand in Earth’s astrological chart.

In western astrology, Jupiter signifies growth and expansion and is considered fortunate, influencing belief, philosophy and social justice. Uranus implies change and excitement. It is eccentric and influences revolution, invention, and technology, such as spacecraft and the internet. Put these two planets together and you can expect fireworks: the change and excitement of Uranus will be amplified by the expansiveness of Jupiter. Growth and the philosophy of endless capacity (Jupiter) are subject to Uranian change with unexpected twists and turns.

Uranus also breeds awareness that comes from a rapid awakening in our (Jovian) belief and faith. If you put the two together, and right now they are neck and neck, the biblical essence called ‘Quickening’ arises in humanity.

There have been pointers.

We’ve been given lots of ‘wayshowers’ by the ‘signs in the fields’.

Swallow, symbol of 'quickening', leading comet with coded tail, Alton Priors, June 2009

Last summer, the last few crop circles which graced the late harvest fields of Wiltshire and Oxfordshire included a stunning swallow with what might now be seen as a ‘comet tail’; it appeared in wheat in the South Field at Alton Priors on June 27th. On August 6th, 2009 another wheat crop received the imprint of a comet ‘panel’ of celestial objects breaching the solar wind or sun’s magnetosphere. This crop circle appeared at Windmill Hill, Wiltshire one month before Comet McNaught was discovered heading our way from the Oort Cloud.

Last crop circle of the 2009 season links to one of 2010's first designs

And the very last crop formation of last season appeared on August 29th at Waylands Smithy, Oxon in maize (corn): a spiral suggesting both comet and orbit.

So, it is interesting to see comets manifesting in one of the first designs of the 2010 season: at Stony Littleton near Bath in Somerset a wonderful double spiral appeared in a field of beans, in the forecourt of a 5000-year old neolithic chambered tomb, which might suggest two comets orbiting a central cross formation of planetary stations – the June-July Grand Cross perhaps?

Crop circles have in the past sent fairly regular messages which have been interpreted with delight by the astronomical, mathematical and scientific communities: invariably using the ‘Golden Mean’ or Fibonacci perfection, almost always encouraging us to look within or upwards to the heavens. Designs have traditionally been laid out with beautiful geometric precision, but the theme lately has been decidedly astral.

Should we expect the unexpected from Comet McNaught, a new body from the Oort Cloud just starting to appear in the east to the naked eye?

The name Comet derives from Greek ‘long-haired’ because of the coma or tail which emanates from the head as the astral body enters the inner solar system on approach to the sun. Known to emanate from two areas in the far reaches of the outer solar system, the Kuiper Belt between Uranus and Neptune and the Oort Cloud beyond Pluto’s orbit, many have been witnessed and recorded for centuries, some making repeat visits. One of the most famous, Halley’s comet, recorded by astronomer-Royal Edmond Halley (1656-1742) in 1682 as having a recurring orbit with previous documented sightings in 1456, 1531 and 1607, last visited Earth in 1986 and will on its 76-year elliptical orbit, approach the sun again in 2062.

Shoemaker-Levy crashed in fragments into Jupiter in 1994 after its near-Earth flyby

In the meantime we’ve had Shoemaker-Levy in 1994 which circled Earth before splintering and crashing into the atmosphere of Jupiter on its return trip; Hyakutake in 1996 and Hale-Bopp in 1997, a spectacular comet with a double tail tracing a similar path through Perseus; along with comet 17P/Holmes and a previous McNaught in 2007. [Robert McNaught is a British-Australian astronomer who spends a lot of time focused on telescopic comet discovery from the Antipodean observatory at Siding Spring].

Comet Hale-Bopp in solar orbit in 1997, with dramatic double tail and coma

The nucleus of a comet is like a ball of rock mixed with dirty ‘ice’: frozen water, methane, ammonia. As the object gets close to the sun, frozen gases and dust start to heat and evaporate, creating a long tail of vaporized molecules, dust and debris emanating from the coma – the ‘hair’ – to flow behind it. Out beyond the solar system perimeter, the object is only a small unremarkable frozen nucleus, visible by telescope as reflected sunlight: a speck of ice and dust. But as it is pulled in on its saucer-shaped orbit towards the sun, it transforms.

Dust elements are blown by the solar wind to form the tail, and water and gas molecules heated by their approach to the great solar furnace – hydrogen, oxygen, carbon monoxide and dioxide – have one of their electrons torn off (ionized) by the action of sunlight and they too are pushed into the ion tail. The ‘coma’ can extend to many times the size of the original nucleus, creating spectacular night-sky objects visible first through binoculars and telescopes and then, as the comet gets close to Earth orbit, to the naked eye. Because the comet’s head is on orbit headed for the sun, the tail always points away from the sun, outward from the nucleus, driven by the solar wind.

Comet C/2009 R1 McNaught has a green coma and has regrown its tail; it may manifest more unexpected variations

Special effects can result when added molecules are present. In the case of C/2009 R1, its luminous green coma is a result of ultraviolet solar rays mingling with cyanogen gas.

Comet R1 McNaught was discovered on 09/09/09, but only started becoming visible in the northern hemisphere just before dawn in late May-early June 2010 on the eastern horizon. It should be a naked-eye object best seen this weekend and early next week when the new moon is at its thinnest crescent and the comet at close range to Earth. It lies a one-and-a-half ‘Cassiopeia’ lengths below that famous ‘W’ shape in the northern sky.

Path of C/2009 R1 Comet through constellations Andromeda, Perseus, Auriga and Gemini

Thereafter it will increase in brightness as it moves from the constellation Andromeda through Perseus and then into Auriga between mid-June and early July when it passes Earth on towards its closest brush with the sun, perihelion, on July 2nd.

While C/2009 R1 then becomes difficult to see in the north, it will be a bright addition to the dawn sky in the southern hemisphere in the early nights of July on the runup to July 11th, when something miraculous will occur.

To backtrack a little, New Age metaphysician, charismatic speaker and student of the Maya and indigenous peoples, Drunvalo Melchizedek took a journey in 2003 starting in the north and moving to the south Pacific with a group of people who represented every nation of the planet Earth.

He says:

We have to find the secret of how this leap in consciousness we are being asked to make is acquired: human consciousness combines conscious awareness of the Ancient world – the world of Nature – with the conscious awareness of the modern world. The two meshed together create a new shift upward in all consciousness. If we can at least try to reach that respect and atunement with Nature, with the divine essence of the planet, we can make it into this new level of consciousness.

Drunvalo and his group first held a ceremony of love and appreciation in 2003 at the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, said to be the north pole of the etheric web – or electromagnetic field around the Earth – offering gifts of peace and meditating on Man’s return to natural ways of living on Earth. Then, through Geomancy, (Arabic, ilm al-raml), various degrees of difficulty and many months, they finally succeeded in holding a similar ceremony on a small island in the South Pacific in 2008 at the closest point to the planet’s electromagnetic ‘south pole’, diametrically opposite the Great Pyramid and on the other side of the world within the Easter Island group. When the ceremony was over, Drunvalo says there came a series of ‘signs’ from the heavens and they knew as a group that their work of ‘birthing a new consciousness’ for the planet Earth was completed, although he says he knew it would take some considerable time for the rest of humanity to follow and to see similar ‘signs’ of awakening, quickening.

It just so happens that when Comet C/2009 R1 McNaught moves as a night sky object in early July into the southern hemisphere, something else will occur which may rock a few (astronomical as well as spiritual) socks. On July 11th, Comet McNaught will become difficult to see in both northern and southern hemispheres: in the north it is too close to the horizon – and getting very close to the sun – for practical observation as dawn breaks, another distraction; in the south it occurs during daylight hours.

On July 11th, however, the Cosmos has devised a little trick to make it visible. On that day the southern hemisphere – in particular the island of Mangaia near Easter Island (close to where Drunvalo Melchizedek and his group of meditators and earth-healers held ceremony in 2008) will experience a total solar eclipse and the sky will be dark for four minutes. During the occultation Comet McNaught will be the brightest object in the (daytime) sky! What a delightful coincidence: Easter Island residents not only got to help participate in healing the planet’s electromagnetosphere but they now get to see the heavenly response to their work.

Drunvalo, I suspect, along with the New Age community and astronomy buffs worldwide, will be pleased.

Volcanic Surprise: Take your Toys and Go Home

April 18, 2010

Eyjafjallajökull erupts during the strongest geomagnetic storm to hit Earth in 3 years; photo Albert Jakobsson

Tomorrow morning, April 19th, 2010, at around 5a.m. PST the Space Shuttle Discovery is due to reenter Earth’s atmosphere on a trajectory that takes her over the Pacific Northwest, and then on a southeasterly heading towards Cape Canaveral, Florida. She undocked from the International Space Station at the weekend in preparation for reentry.

Early birds in the states of Montana, South Dakota, Missouri and Mississippi and those driving to work in the cities of St. Louis, MO, Memphis, TN and Columbus, GA may catch a glimpse of the descending craft as it prepares for landing at the Kennedy Space Center, ETA 8:48a.m.

Trajectory of space shuttle Discovery on her way home tomorrow

Viewers in continental U.S. will be able to see Discovery as a blazing fireball in the dawn sky on first reentry over Northern California, Oregon, Washington and BC, and then, when daylight progresses, as a bright high-altitude object, as the craft heads east. Those who may not be sure of what they are seeing will hear a double sonic boom about a minute after the shuttle passes overhead.

Discovery’s appearance in the skies over continental USA is unusual, to say the least.

NASA is normally super-cautious, not only to schedule reentry on a trajectory over ocean (south Pacific or Atlantic) – to avoid potential conflict with commercial air traffic or the complication of an accident over such an important landmass – but also does not issue a specific schedule beforehand – for ‘security reasons’.

In the case of tomorrow’s landing, another issue has complicated NASA’s plans: the volcanic cloud emanating from Eyjafjallajökull in Iceland. Because the eastern hemisphere is affected by dust and volcanic ash in the atmosphere resulting in the grounding of all European airlines, the shuttle’s choices were drastically reduced.

It is perhaps our present crazy world’s greatest irony that tomorrow, when the whole continent of Europe has not a single aircraft in the skies, except for patrolling military Tornadoes or light prop craft which can fly below radar, United States air traffic controllers will be overworked as they reroute planes so as not to provoke a chance encounter with the spacegoing shuttle on her way home.

Air travel all over northern Europe has been disrupted, with flights grounded or diverted due to the risk of engine damage from sucking in particles of ash from the volcanic cloud.  Even the usually noisy skies of helicopter traffic to and from North Sea Oil fields are silent.

Eyjafjallajökull sub-glacial eruption

And what of Eyjafjallajökull?

What series of convoluted circumstances caused her to erupt just when airlines the world over were pulling in their horns in response to global recession, cutting frills and flying fripperies to an absolute minimum?

Eyjafjallajökull is merely responding to a ripple in the mid-Atlantic ridge.

Iceland can’t help it: her island kingdom sits astride a large tectonic anomaly, where two plates meet, and – rather like Hawaii – has confounded scientists for centuries in their ability to ride the volcanic storms and still maintain buoyancy as islands. Icelanders have benefited in cleverly channeling underground heat from natural hot springs to provide comfort – even luxury – to every home, but, like Hawaiians, their tiny population (300,000, about the same as a medium-size British city) is not unaware of the fragility of their situation.

Eyjafjallajökull has erupted five times since human settlement in the ninth century and its most recent eruption has been going since March 20th this year, but it is only in the last week that ash from this eruption has reached the stratosphere of its continental neighbour.

And Europe is freaking out.

In terms of aviation, when almost all transport is presently airborne – people, freight, goods and services – it is understandable that Eyjafjallajökull’s blasting through its surface glacier and spewing dust and ash into the airlanes should cause concern. Health and safety have become buzzwords in industry: the natural reaction for air traffic regulators was to close everything down. So soon after Easter, when many were starting to enjoy the prospect of spring following a very hard winter, holiday travel numbers were high and planes fully booked.

Those airplanes are now dead in the water.

And, with no change in the foreseeable future, Europeans are stranded in remote locations worldwide, unable to get back home; British-based airlines may not take off and US-based airline traffic may not land in Europe.

Europe – the northern portion of it, certainly – is like a plague zone.

They’ve always said character comes to the rescue when crisis descends or hard times rule. And the other thing they say: Necessity is the Mother of Invention.

During the hard snows and frosts of winter – that in northern Scotland and pockets of Europe lasted until spring equinox – Britain went through a series of threats from companies in conflict with employment unions – with aviation and transportation strikes imminent – until intervention by a well-meaning Icelandic volcano moved the goalposts.

Suddenly, within the last week, other means of transportation – bus, taxi, train, ferry, tube, metro, hot air balloon, microlite, bicycle – have reared their heads again and a dumbed-down population re-creates, starts to think outside the box, begins to invent.

In early ‘seventies ‘3-day-week’ Great Britain, share-a-ride became an everyday occurrence, nobody drove a car without at least two other passengers, public transport was in full use and the struggling population again became aware of their parents’ post-war attitude of ‘conserving’ energy. It is possible that the present crisis may bring about a similar respect for alternative means to get from A to B, and consequently even more respect for the entity which caused the hiccup in the first place: Mother Earth.

Many of us have blogged over last winter about impending changes the Earth may put us through: for most of us those earth-changes were remote: reports from Haiti, Chile, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Turkey. But changes are starting to happen closer to home (Home being the First World).

large swathes of Amazon rainforest under threat

The First World has not traditionally reacted well to being threatened by Nature. It has acted (particularly over the last two generations – fifty years) as if nature were subservient to Man. It has turned a blind eye to decimated rain forests, depleted habitat for endangered species, global poverty, substandard housing and polluted drinking water in those ‘other’ worlds. It’s not accustomed to having its toys taken away and told to go home.

With the grounding of aircraft run by some of the world’s most elite flying operations, those ‘toys’ are getting a shakedown. And Big Business doesn’t like it.

Already on shaky ground over fears of recession, many airlines are already in debt or about to seek bail from world governments. Now governments themselves are questioning whether there are funds in the coffers to cover planetary transportation meldown. Big Business has traditionally used London, Paris, Stockholm, Frankfurt, Amsterdam as staging posts in its hops between hemispheres. Suddenly their wind-up toys aren’t working. No immediate replacement in sight, they’re having to think of ways around the situation.

Pressure/precipitation 4-day forecast, courtesy Unisys

Fortunately, continental Europe has remarkably efficient waterways, rail links, passenger liners, trains and autobahns. Every one of them has suddenly become remarkably important as an artery of communication in an atmospherically-deprived world. But if Icelandic ash continues to spew forth it will take some really revolutionary thinking for Big Business to survive. Seven million passenger-journeys have been cancelled in a few days. There’s talk right now of losses in the millions – Emirates Airlines calculating 25 million dollars per day in lost revenue, British Airways losing one million pounds every hour. Pretty soon those losses will be billions and thereafter . . . if Eyjafjallajökull doesn’t let up – or worse, if her neighboring volcanoes on the Ridge join in – figures will be incalculable. ‘Business’ as a concept will have no meaning.

None of us wants the approach to ‘End Times‘ to come suddenly. But there have been warnings; we have had clues; our history is littered with references to ‘preparing’ for when those ‘decline and fall’ times will come. So should we be surprised when the Earth herself is the instigator?

It is a well-known phenomenon that spacecraft engineers, pilots and scientists, on their return to Earth after a space mission, express feeling ‘transformed, changed, uplifted’ and ‘born-again’ by their experience outside Earth’s atmosphere. From liftoff as hardened scientists, electrical engineers, they return as philosophers, enlightened spirits.

It might be seen by some that Discovery’s reentry to Earth coinciding with the Earth’s growling northern latitudes indicate a sign of impending doom; for others it may signal the onset of liberation from earthly institutions which were beginning to cripple creativity; a top-heavy bureaucratic mechanism that smothers the budding creative spark.

Heaven knows, now is the time for creativity to surface and be recognized: time for the toys to come alive and play for real: our future and our future home – the planet Earth – depend on it.
