Entering TimeCollide—Adjust Frequency—the CHANI Material

From the perspective of the Ancients—ancestral knowledge of number, geometry and the stars—always had a place in (sacred) calculation—as it has on this page. And all sages worth their salt were versed in celestial appearances, signs in the heavens.

So when slowly, inexorably, over the last five seasons of increasingly complex crop circle appearances, messages have revealed themselves in the fields showing this ancient view, the revered, the sacred: some of us poor lost strays being led gently by the ‘new’ vision have allowed ourselves to leap beyond our normal belief-cultured response to see this as a possible ‘time wave moment‘, an idea model proposed by Terence McKenna before 1999, which explains the ‘interconnection of physical and psychological phenomena from the submolecular to the macrocosmic level’, D McKenna & T McKenna TimeWave Theory and The Invisible Landscape

Timewave Theory, was developed by Terence Mckenna as a replacement for science’s notion of time as a featureless and smooth surface. Timewave suggests that time is actually structured, has a topology, and can be likened to the stock market. Time is actually a series of risings and falling fluctuations of “novelty”—defined by the ethonobiologist as an ‘increase over time in the Universe’s interconnectedness, or organized complexity, or ‘novelty’. McKenna was convinced—like the ancients—that such moment or moments of time colliding with itself would be heralded by spectacular celestial events.

The Venus cycle, beloved of the Maya, is receiving attention—in astronomical and astrological circles—as the Great Cycle closes at this time.

So when a Jupiter-size planet gets drawn into the electromagnetic field of a “black hole” [space.com lingo], it is big news. Recent stargazing professionals are excited by spiral galaxy NGC 4845 in constellation Virgo, because it seems to be waking up and taking a bite out of a passing planet.

Each long ray has a 7 x 8 grid of overlaid crop, meaning “56” in the Mayan Venus calendar which is when the crop picture appeared (56/65 Sun Venus conjunctions, each lasting 0.9 years). The CHANI Material
During the summers of 1994-1999 a group of international Echelon researchers working under an umbrella corporation known as ‘R.A.’, had access to a CERN-like collider in Africa where they ran their search programs, including e.g. Space-Time Fabricating, Simulation by Atom Replacement and Removal, Holographic Programming of Dark Matter, Manifestation of Quantum Energies and Associated String Programming with Ether/Etheric Interaction. Not unexpectedly, they encountered an ‘Entity’ which fell into conversation with the team members. Needless to say, fourteen years later, this material—acronym CHANI = Channelled Holographic Access Network Interface—is still considered ‘classified’.

While the team’s original remit was to gather information from all sources, their attention turned to the Entity when he explained his task was to study us [Earthlings]. Often during interchanges, the pupil was the more apt professor; making the NSA team act the ‘guinea pig’. One researcher described his five-year experience as “… a seminal interaction between science, theory and spiritual awareness.”

‘At first, the words and spellings that the Entity used may strike you as odd, silly and even childlike. But I assure you that even our top neurolinguists were awestruck by how this simple flow of words, structure, spelling and positioning spoke so directly to the reader’s being. It was instructive, guiding and informative, but most noteworthy was its pleasantly gentle and soothing manner on your ear, heart and mind. It was baby talk for adults. The simplicity and ease with which the Entity managed to explain and get difficult and controversial subjects across had a definite lingering quality. I experienced this on a number of occasions when some thoughts would linger for days, my subconscious actively contemplating the information somewhere in the back of my mind. I’m sure that all the researchers on CHANI shared this experience. It is my hope that you, the reader of this article, will have the same experiences when reading some quotes of the transcripts provided.’

Researchers asked the Entity over 20,000 questions and received answers to more than 95 per cent of what they asked.

‘Dark and Portal Matters’

Entity explained that contact was made because he was our equivalent of a ‘student’ and had authority from his Elders to interact with, observe, study and learn from us. The Entity explained that his Elders ‘noticed us and our whole solar system’ when we crossed into ‘their’ parallel universe. Entity also explained that we weren’t the only race reaching this crossroads/merge, and they were monitoring other alien races from other planets in our solar system as well. Entity was specifically tasked to study us (humans, Earth), while other students were tasked to study other races and planets corresponding to their planet and solar system. It was not just a merging or colliding of our Earth reality, but it was our complete solar system colliding with the reality of another ‘parallel’ solar system. As we humans (with some alien assistance/technology) had been ‘playing with dark and portal matters’, the result was that our whole solar system traversed into “their” universe of visibility/perception.

Because data was received and sent electronically, format of the Entity’s replies is characteristically brief, like a child’s, but team consensus was that its almost dreamlike lullaby-word quality had the effect of calming them and inspiring them to initiate more elaborate interchange. Their queries had unexpected results. For example, when asked about his version of the Universe, or his Elders’ ‘parallel timeline’, the Entity replied:

USGS ‘realtime’ earthquakes within last five days

The Entity referred to dolphins and mentioned their importance on a number of occasions. Dolphins somehow balance certain vibrations on Earth. Specifics were given, but that part was not cleared by Echelon for release. The Rubicon team was advised to keep an eye on dolphin behaviour and events involving dolphins. Their activity would herald events and Earth changes.

At the end of 2005, the CHANI project files were handed over to the Rubicon Station for ‘Project Reveal’. As the name suggests, Rubicon dealt with information deemed to have reached a point of no return. Rubicon division decided certain information should be released and seeds planted to measure and research public reaction—limited yet constant between 2006-2008—clearing the way and setting a foundation for whenever they chose to flood the wires with full disclosure.

Rubicon had tried all other methods to make contact and failed. So the material was consigned to a dip in the public ocean, where limited feedback was deemed necessary. The information was (discreetly) released on select internet forums by a Rubicon Revealer.

While this blog maintains ‘disclosure-conspiracy’ theorists have a limited audience, recent sterling work/conference by media entrepreneur Suzanne Taylor kept the issues alive—bringing speakers Rupert Sheldrake, Marianne Williamson and Graham Hancock dumped by media mogul TED-x: she picked up the slack as a prelude to her good work in the coming crop circle season.

As we know, cold and wet are spring’s enemies, slowing the growth of early [crop-circle-potential] crops. Normally at this time at least one new design has appeared in Britain’s earliest overwintering crop—yellow oil seed rape/canola. But this season has been seriously affected: slow, inexorable winter crept into Britain in early November 2012; lingering wetly and drearily into January and February; early birds hoped for a little light relief when March was dry, but it turned out to be the second coldest on record [c.f. 1947; 1962 was colder].

Mean March temperature was 2.2ºC (36ºF)—more than 3ºC colder than long-term monthly average.
March 2013 matched the average temperature in March 1947; only March 1962 was colder at 1.9ºC (35ºF).
March was much drier than usual with 62.1mm (2.4in) of rain—65% of the historical average for the month.

Not good news for growth. Even crop circles need the warm in which to manifest. And, unlike previous seasons, this year has not produced ‘alternative’ circles in Java or Mexico.

So, is it any wonder that the croppie mind turns to phantasm, to extra-dimensional talk? More than any other, this exercise in spring aberration—some would call madness—seems most fitting in a gap between appearances. After all, as this blog has oftentimes declared: human consciousness is all—we are jointly creating our own reality… So what was it that we needed to learn before the gods will bring back our toys to play with?

If CHANI refers to May this year—2013—there are fewer than fifteen days to go.

Personally, sidereally—after stumbling blindly—along with other like spirits through recent long drawn-out repeats of last year’s Saturnian grip, the SHIFT feels as if it might already have happened: that TimeWave Zero has been reached, that we are now in the Entity’s period of TimeCollide.

Lady Thatcher did die earlier this month, and oil shale and sand deposits in Arctic waters have been plagued by an ‘unknown’ radioactive source (during fracking) which is threatening to ‘contaminate’ the US oil supply.

Croppies, on the other hand, will just be thankful if one tiny chink of a suggestion of a formation should hint at trying to push its way through the frozen earth of Wiltshire: some time in the next five days would be good.

Come to think of it, maybe the Wesak or Beltane spirits’/consciousness are at work. Seasons 2010, 2011 and 2012 were “late”. If so, surely on the stroke of May 1st, our long-awaited design may show its (unripe) face…

The Maya say within the present Great Cycle of 5200 years, a calculation of time based on the Precession of the Equinoxes (apparent backward movement of the Sun through the zodiac, as viewed in spring –each Grand cyclical revolution totaling 25,920 years), the Long Count began on August 13, 3114 BC; and that it will end or begin again on December 21, 2012. Focus for its beginning date is the calculation that August 13 (Gregorian calendar) falls 52 days after summer solstice, always the Mayas’ date of Creation. There are exactly 7200 Tzolk’in rounds in this creation cycle. Maya day-keepers believe that the purpose of the Tzolk’in is to serve as a hub or temporal microcosm for all calendar cycles, and as such, the true Great Cycle must begin and end on a day that is 13 Ahau in the Tzolk’in count. In traditional reckoning, the Tzolk’in 260-day calendar and the last date for the much-discussed Long Count Calendar, coincide on 21 December 2012, which is not 13 Ahau but 4 Ahau. Hence the current dilemma: does humanity reach enlightenment in two days’ time on October 28th (Calleman, Clow, Argüelles and others)? or is it ultimately a signal, a last boost of light which will carry us into supra-dimensional existence, heralded by winter solstice 2012?

Traditionalists say there are still another 420 days to go, which gives us enough time to assimilate this increasingly powerful influx of light — fiber-optic informational strands of galactic proportions — preparing us to cross that bridge into cosmic consciousness in just over a year’s time.

This is the time heralded widely as the Shift of the Ages.

John Major Jenkins backs up traditional Maya belief in 2012 as the long-awaited time of cyclical renewal and human ascension

Several groups of descendants of Maya genealogy — along with other well-known and well-schooled Western proponents of the 2012 version, like John Major Jenkins and Daniel Pinchbeck — suggest we need to prepare ourselves: that humanity is moving fast towards this reconciliation of opposites, end of duality, joining of time with eternity; the finite with the Infinite; but we have several psychic areas that need refining first. Ms Clow and Dr Calleman assume that there is total accuracy in the calculation the Maya used to catalogue their concept of time. Ms Clow also believes that time is accelerating at an enormous rate (Hand Clow: The Mayan Code — Time Acceleration and Awakening the World Mind, 2007) and that there are other visible factors beginning to manifest in our 3D plane of existence which are assisting us in elevating our consciousness into a more cosmic view of our reality.

Jenkins is, by his own intellectual reckoning, more traditional in his approach: believing that the completion of the Great Cycle is more likely to happen in December of 2012 because of that date’s synchronistic Galactic alignment. October 2011 has no such cosmic ‘attractor’ calling us from deep space. But on winter solstice 2012, the Earth, the Sun, the solar system of planets and its circling comets will align with that great dark chasm in the middle of the Milky Way which the Maya call the cosmic birth canal, their Sacred World Tree — Galactic Center. Some astrophysicists speculate that this unfathomable abyss is a ‘black hole’ which attracts us and will guide us through the shift.

Others that it constantly spews out DNA-enhancing light which is already changing our human genome. Whether a black hole sucking in or a light source throwing out, both ideas are theoretical. All we know is that for the last 30 years we have been dancing a skirting flirting rumba, annually bringing us closer to that point of alignment with our parent star cluster.

The Maya, bless them, were besotted with our End Times and our moment of galactic reunion fascinated them as far back as AD500. That alone is a remarkable effort; a truly authentic example of the ability to delay gratification, itself the first sign of enlightenment. Their calculations all center round the 2012 endpoint: when another Great Cycle begins.

Returning ancestors which indigenous elders speak of are not just of the human variety. An old Native American legend describes the existence of thirteen life-size human skulls made of rock crystal, that are believed to speak or sing. According to legend, these crystal skulls contain answers to some of the great mysteries of life and the Universe. The legend says that in time of greatest need, at a time of enormous crisis for humanity, all thirteen of these crystal skulls will be rediscovered and brought together again to reveal their knowledge. Their information is vital to the very survival of the human race.

So far six crystal skulls have been found — including the enigmatic Mitchell-Hedges skull, right, discovered in Lubaantun, British Honduras in a Mayan temple in 1924, and the British Museum’s ‘Max’, above. The Lubaantun skull’s size with detachable lower jaw are like no other and examination by Hewlett-Packard in California’s Silicon Valley could detect no tool marks. Carbon dating is impossible as quartz crystal contains no carbon. They concluded laser technology of the highest order was the only means capable of creating it and that its pristine crystalline surface was capable of imprinting ‘gigabytes and gigabytes’ of information beyond present computer technological capability. Its find-location, deep in an AD6thC Mayan temple makes it a controversial object of great beauty which has spawned several novels and an Indiana Jones movie.

The legend emphasizes a pivotal time in human history, when all 13 crystal skulls will be reunited to awaken mankind to a new era — transforming consciousness from the old paradigm into a new world.

Now would be a good time for the ancestors to return: the human race — numbering one billion in 1804 took 125 yrs to reach two billion in 1929; 3 billion 1959; 4 billion 1974; 5 billion 1987; 6 billion 1998– is about to hit 7 billion on October 31st 2011. So the human population, at the end of this month, has doubled since 1969. We need our ancestral knowledge now — a more gentle form of wisdom, a simpler way of life — if only to save us from cataclysm.

Much of that human population — at least the younger strand of it — is out in the streets right now. They have suggested that we ALL use the 13Ahau date of October 28th as a gesture to turn off the lights (candles instead, unless you’re on solar!) radio, tv, electrical appliances and toys (computers, too) for one day — certainly not to BUY anything in the shops that day — but to go into nature, read a book, meditate, play, dance, sing, create. Suddenly the message is getting out that the people –the little person– has something to say which is meaningful.

To paraphrase Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniak, they are setting the tone for the world.

Whether as a result of passing through the Photon Belt, receiving DNA enhancing code through crop circles or light from the cosmos, the Human Mind’s ‘Enchanted Loom’ is indeed waking up. We are experiencing more than ever before in recorded history a revitalizing force which permeates us and our immediate surroundings.

This new consciousness is starting to sweep the world. We humans are becoming psychically linked, our minds fusing into unity-consciousness, a worldwide spiritual culture. No longer are collective thought patterns limited to the unconscious. Dream reality is slipping into our waking dimension, our souls vibrating faster; what we think is made manifest before us.

The once external God is becoming an internal sacred voice.

Last of the historical Inca, the Q’ero, like Akhenaten’s cult of the sun, believe the sun’s orb brings great change. This pachacuti prophesy has lain within their collective memory/culture for the last 500 years. It is optimistic: they believe a new type of ‘light’ human will appear to help mankind through dark times.

Pacha Cuti, literally ‘world-turner’, can be interpreted in two different ways:
[1] that ancient Inca ruler, Pacha Cuti, an enlightened being, ‘stepped outside of time’ and was famous for greatly expanding the Inca empire; that he will return in 2012 to ‘turn the world around’ from a chaos to peace.
[2] that Pacha Cuti represents great change coming in the form of the ‘luminous ones’ — humans with new (psychic, telepathic) abilities and a luminous nature. These are the ancient ones returning who will set the world right-side-up again. The Inca believe that this new type of human has already manifested and is living now in our time.

Inca Shamans also speak of a tear in the fabric of time itself; of doorways between worlds which are beginning to open up again. They believe we have the opportunity now to explore our real human capabilities and become Pacha Cuti ourselves.

Peruvian Shamans say ancestral wisdom means:
“Follow your own footsteps. Learn from the rivers, the trees and the rocks. Honor the Christ, the Buddha, your brothers and sisters. Honor the Earth Mother and the Great Spirit. Honor yourself and all of creation.”

There are 420 more days to go after October 28th to reach the traditional Long Count finale. This month’s 13 Ahau may be the catalyst to project us into alignment, not just our planet, our solar system, our Sun, with the equator of the Galactic plane, but to align our consciousness with an altogether new world: the world of gnosis in its original Greek meaning: intuitive, esoteric knowing. With our hearts out front, and our minds tuning in to feelings, sensations, listening to premonitions, internal guidance, the inner voice, we shall become a new race: the ones fit for the stars: the place from which ancestral gods and angels and guardian spirits/star beings always kept a watchful eye, ready to help us stand, should we fall. Our youth have taken the ‘Occupy Yourself’ initiative. In becoming a world voice for fairness, balance and caring, we are showing our hand; so those same light spirits –our own ancestors — no longer need to hold back.

The Light is coming to our aid now in massive doses. It is up to us to accept the transformation and to allow it to raise our consciousness to transcendental level.

Not only Light, but the spirit that motivated our ancestors, is returning: that enchanted loom of our Group Mind is waking up; the shuttles are clicking. We are realizing we can become greater than we are, just by willing that idea into existence.

All the Cs: Crop Circles, Comets, eClipses

Throughout history the appearance of comets was seen in the mind of ancient Man as a sign of great change; a bad omen, sometimes heavenly intervention. Usually a bright comet was viewed as a ‘harbinger of doom’, a ‘messenger bringing bad luck’, or ‘death to tyrants and their evil’. But it was also seen – in the light of change – as a portent of unexpected gifts, a messenger from the gods, a shift in observation, in human awareness, a ‘quickening’. As signs in the heavens, comets were both feared and venerated.

The Romans recorded that a fiery comet was blamed for excess bloodshed in battle between Pompey and Julius Caesar in the days of the triumvirate. Shortly afterwards, another marked the Ides of March and Caesar’s assassination. Halley’s Comet was thought to have brought the Black Death in Europe. In the Andes, the Inca record a comet as foreshadowing the arrival of Francisco Pizarro. His armies conquered them and committed acts of brutality literally days after the comet disappeared.

Recent research suggests the Star of Bethlehem was either the cosmological conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in 7BC; or Halley’s comet (or a similar periodic comet)’s appearance in mid-April 5BC.

In North America indigenous Americans saw them as communication from Grandfather Great Spirit; their sudden bright appearance and disappearance marking the descent of special shaman or spirit messengers who joined their number on Earth.

The Chinese made a study of comets for centuries before written records were begun by Western society, but thought of comets as ‘vile stars’ or ‘long-tailed pheasants’ and yet they mapped and recorded their appearance and passage through the heavens.

In ancient cultures astronomy and astrology were inextricably linked – they were both sciences. And what went on in the heavens affected the lives of mere mortals on Earth.

Last week Jupiter and Uranus joined together (in astrological conjunction) in 0ºAries, the cusp degree of the fire sign of action, movement and drive. They are headed for a great opposition, three days after solstice, when a celestial Grand Cross will stand in Earth’s astrological chart.

In western astrology, Jupiter signifies growth and expansion and is considered fortunate, influencing belief, philosophy and social justice. Uranus implies change and excitement. It is eccentric and influences revolution, invention, and technology, such as spacecraft and the internet. Put these two planets together and you can expect fireworks: the change and excitement of Uranus will be amplified by the expansiveness of Jupiter. Growth and the philosophy of endless capacity (Jupiter) are subject to Uranian change with unexpected twists and turns.

Uranus also breeds awareness that comes from a rapid awakening in our (Jovian) belief and faith. If you put the two together, and right now they are neck and neck, the biblical essence called ‘Quickening’ arises in humanity.

There have been pointers.

We’ve been given lots of ‘wayshowers’ by the ‘signs in the fields’.

Last summer, the last few crop circles which graced the late harvest fields of Wiltshire and Oxfordshire included a stunning swallow with what might now be seen as a ‘comet tail’; it appeared in wheat in the South Field at Alton Priors on June 27th. On August 6th, 2009 another wheat crop received the imprint of a comet ‘panel’ of celestial objects breaching the solar wind or sun’s magnetosphere. This crop circle appeared at Windmill Hill, Wiltshire one month before Comet McNaught was discovered heading our way from the Oort Cloud.

And the very last crop formation of last season appeared on August 29th at Waylands Smithy, Oxon in maize (corn): a spiral suggesting both comet and orbit.

So, it is interesting to see comets manifesting in one of the first designs of the 2010 season: at Stony Littleton near Bath in Somerset a wonderful double spiral appeared in a field of beans, in the forecourt of a 5000-year old neolithic chambered tomb, which might suggest two comets orbiting a central cross formation of planetary stations – the June-July Grand Cross perhaps?

Crop circles have in the past sent fairly regular messages which have been interpreted with delight by the astronomical, mathematical and scientific communities: invariably using the ‘Golden Mean’ or Fibonacci perfection, almost always encouraging us to look within or upwards to the heavens. Designs have traditionally been laid out with beautiful geometric precision, but the theme lately has been decidedly astral.

Should we expect the unexpected from Comet McNaught, a new body from the Oort Cloud just starting to appear in the east to the naked eye?

COMETS
The name Comet derives from Greek ‘long-haired’ because of the coma or tail which emanates from the head as the astral body enters the inner solar system on approach to the sun. Known to emanate from two areas in the far reaches of the outer solar system, the Kuiper Belt between Uranus and Neptune and the Oort Cloud beyond Pluto’s orbit, many have been witnessed and recorded for centuries, some making repeat visits. One of the most famous, Halley’s comet, recorded by astronomer-Royal Edmond Halley (1656-1742) in 1682 as having a recurring orbit with previous documented sightings in 1456, 1531 and 1607, last visited Earth in 1986 and will on its 76-year elliptical orbit, approach the sun again in 2062.

In the meantime we’ve had Shoemaker-Levy in 1994 which circled Earth before splintering and crashing into the atmosphere of Jupiter on its return trip; Hyakutake in 1996 and Hale-Bopp in 1997, a spectacular comet with a double tail tracing a similar path through Perseus; along with comet 17P/Holmes and a previous McNaught in 2007. The nucleus of a comet is like a ball of rock mixed with dirty ‘ice’: frozen water, methane, ammonia. As the object gets close to the sun, frozen gases and dust start to heat and evaporate, creating a long tail of vaporized molecules, dust and debris emanating from the coma – the ‘hair’ – to flow behind it. Out beyond the solar system perimeter, the object is only a small unremarkable frozen nucleus, visible by telescope as reflected sunlight: a speck of ice and dust. But as it is pulled in on its saucer-shaped orbit towards the sun, it transforms.

Dust elements are blown by the solar wind to form the tail, and water and gas molecules heated by their approach to the great solar furnace – hydrogen, oxygen, carbon monoxide and dioxide – have one of their electrons torn off (ionized) by the action of sunlight and they too are pushed into the ion tail. The ‘coma’ can extend to many times the size of the original nucleus, creating spectacular night-sky objects visible first through binoculars and telescopes and then, as the comet gets close to Earth orbit, to the naked eye. Because the comet’s head is on orbit headed for the sun, the tail always points away from the sun, outward from the nucleus, driven by the solar wind.

Special effects can result when added molecules are present. In the case of C/2009 R1, its luminous green coma is a result of ultraviolet solar rays mingling with cyanogen gas.

Comet R1 McNaught was discovered on 09/09/09, but only started becoming visible in the northern hemisphere just before dawn in late May-early June 2010 on the eastern horizon. It should be a naked-eye object best seen this weekend and early next week when the new moon is at its thinnest crescent and the comet at close range to Earth. It lies a one-and-a-half ‘Cassiopeia’ lengths below that famous ‘W’ shape in the northern sky.

Thereafter it will increase in brightness as it moves from the constellation Andromeda through Perseus and then into Auriga between mid-June and early July when it passes Earth on towards its closest brush with the sun, perihelion, on July 2nd.

While C/2009 R1 then becomes difficult to see in the north, it will be a bright addition to the dawn sky in the southern hemisphere in the early nights of July on the runup to July 11th, when something miraculous will occur.

To backtrack a little, New Age metaphysician, charismatic speaker and student of the Maya and indigenous peoples, Drunvalo Melchizedek took a journey in 2003 starting in the north and moving to the south Pacific with a group of people who represented every nation of the planet Earth.

He says:

We have to find the secret of how this leap in consciousness we are being asked to make is acquired: human consciousness combines conscious awareness of the Ancient world – the world of Nature – with the conscious awareness of the modern world. The two meshed together create a new shift upward in all consciousness. If we can at least try to reach that respect and atunement with Nature, with the divine essence of the planet, we can make it into this new level of consciousness.

Drunvalo and his group first held a ceremony of love and appreciation in 2003 at the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, said to be the north pole of the etheric web – or electromagnetic field around the Earth – offering gifts of peace and meditating on Man’s return to natural ways of living on Earth. Then, through Geomancy, (Arabic, ilm al-raml), various degrees of difficulty and many months, they finally succeeded in holding a similar ceremony on a small island in the South Pacific in 2008 at the closest point to the planet’s electromagnetic ‘south pole’, diametrically opposite the Great Pyramid and on the other side of the world within the Easter Island group. When the ceremony was over, Drunvalo says there came a series of ‘signs’ from the heavens and they knew as a group that their work of ‘birthing a new consciousness’ for the planet Earth was completed, although he says he knew it would take some considerable time for the rest of humanity to follow and to see similar ‘signs’ of awakening, quickening.

It just so happens that when Comet C/2009 R1 McNaught moves as a night sky object in early July into the southern hemisphere, something else will occur which may rock a few (astronomical as well as spiritual) socks. On July 11th, Comet McNaught will become difficult to see in both northern and southern hemispheres: in the north it is too close to the horizon – and getting very close to the sun – for practical observation as dawn breaks, another distraction; in the south it occurs during daylight hours.

On July 11th, however, the Cosmos has devised a little trick to make it visible. On that day the southern hemisphere – in particular the island of Mangaia near Easter Island (close to where Drunvalo Melchizedek and his group of meditators and earth-healers held ceremony in 2008) will experience a total solar eclipse and the sky will be dark for four minutes. During the occultation Comet McNaught will be the brightest object in the (daytime) sky! What a delightful coincidence: Easter Island residents not only got to help participate in healing the planet’s electromagnetosphere but they now get to see the heavenly response to their work.

Drunvalo, I suspect, along with the New Age community and astronomy buffs worldwide, will be pleased.

Fledgling Crop Circle: 2010:05:05

It’s not surprising the 2010 crop circle season started late – in spite of huge excitement and anticipation in croppiedom: England had a tough winter. Frosts and snow through March, freezing temperatures in April. This little beauty appeared on May 5th. Not quite as late as the season of 2006 when nothing happened until June 9th, but with so much expectancy, it will gladden a lot of hearts.

Crops like oil seed rape (canola), although planted last autumn, wait for the ground to warm up before starting into growth. Farmers suffered delays because of a late spring. But canola is a speedy plant once it gets going. It’s one of the brassica family (cabbage, radish) and when the sun shines, it responds. Yellow flowers now litter the patchwork plains and downs of Wiltshire and our first crop circle – a little avian fledgling by the looks of it – appeared late evening on 05/05.

It chose to manifest in a field adjacent to Old Sarum, one of the most well-known Iron age fortresses in this ancient sacred landscape. Sarum is the old Anglo-Saxon name for Salisbury, a fortified mound with huge surrounding bank and ditch like the Avebury stone circle; it stands on a busy intersection of a three-way prehistoric trade route between Stonehenge and the south coast, close to the barge access of the Water of Avon. This 1st Century BC fortification was a strategic ancestral stronghold of the powerful first Britons, venerated and preserved through successive cultures until the first cathedral of Old Sarum was built inside the circular structure in 1069. Before AD420 it housed a Roman garrison (as Sorviodunum = Sorvio’s fort or mound), became a Saxon fortress and finally the site of a Norman castle in the AD11th century. The present cathedral in nearby Salisbury was the second Norman cathedral of that name; and building began there in 1075 on the structure which stands today. The outline of its Old Sarum predecessor still appears in the grass within the great ditch (illustration).

Much speculation preceded this little vanguard’s arrival, many expecting the first design to bend crop stalks in more popular precincts like Avebury, Milk Hill and the multi-decked fields of Alton Barnes. There, through strengthening canola stems, the shadows of last season’s pictograms show like ghost signs to a lost past.

The location of this year’s first design does have great energetic significance, however. Old Sarum stands on one of the great electromagnetic Earth-energy lines – Wiltshire’s Leys – that run along relatively straight tracks between and among ancient sacred sites: the Sarum ley runs from a prehistoric earthmound north of Stonehenge, through Stonehenge itself to Old Sarum, to the cathedral in the present city of Salisbury and south through Clearbury Ring and Frankenbury Camp – all ancient sacred sites. The little crop circle with its bird-like design (or sacred geometric pattern of sevens and fives) hugs this energy line, choosing to appear in a crop of canola where the flowers were not yet quite open (to hover within the energy forcefield) rather than siting itself in the neighboring field where the crop is well advanced but standing outside the lines of force.

Electromagnetism may have a lot more to do with what’s going on than we realize. But it’s a difficult area to explain. Like particle and quantum theory, sacred geometry and musical tone ratios, or string theory: a little out of one’s normal range of conversation. Unless we take it one step at a time.

A little background might help. While string theory is usually the realm of quantum physicists, it is elaborated on most elegantly and simply by crop circle researcher Bert Janssen to explain some of the late ‘nineties and ‘noughties complex crop circles.

Put simply, lines of force act on other lines of force – waves in the bath, tones produced by strings of different length on a guitar or piano, light beams or an interaction of one electromagnetic field on another electromagnetic field. They all act similarly. When they do, they cause tiny nodes to appear where the waves/frequencies overlap to disturb or ‘interfere’ with each other. These interferences allow energy (‘particles’) to gather in the nodes, with subsequent result that they form patterns. While ‘superstring theory’ was developed by John Schwartz, Michael Green and Edward Witten for the subatomic world where (below atomic level everything is energy and) exotic, imaginary and invisible particles are found, we can relate it to the formation of crop circles where waves induced by electromagnetism are like musical sound waves or waves rippling on a beach: different locations, same theory.

Harmonic Convergence and Harmonic Concordance brought planets and galaxies into alignment

Earlier crop circles – before the watershed summer of 1987 – were fairly simple in manifestation and quantity. In August that year a cosmic moment of alignment occurred known as Harmonic Convergence, when the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury and Venus stood in exact conjunction in early degrees of Virgo/cusp Leo while, according to astrologers and New Age pundits, they formed a Grand Trine with the other large planets: Jupiter in the last (anaretic) degree of Aries/cusp Taurus, Saturn and Uranus in Sagittarius/cusp Capricorn. This Grand Trine is seen by some as one of Fire, by others as an Earth Trine. To the 144,000 lightworkers and spiritual supporters who gathered to meditate at earth’s power centers in Mount Shasta, CA, Sedona, AZ, Glastonbury, Somerset, Findhorn, Scotland and Mount Fuji, Japan, this was seen as a combined Grand Trine of fire and earth, as a metaphysical turning point for the human race.

Another astrological event happened 16 years later, a cosmic moment called Harmonic Concordance in November 2003 when a Total Lunar Eclipse completed an astrologically-beneficial configuration of sun, moon and all the large planets known as a Grand Sextile or Star Tetrahedron.

The Solar System, with us in tow, and our home Galaxy became one

Between these two astrological dates a momentous happening in astrophysics brought the two sides of the coin together. During the summer of 1998, the plane of the solar system, with us on earth in its third orbit, moved into alignment with the plane of our own Milky Way Galaxy: the two planes – solar system of nine planets and the unimaginably huge spiral of stars that is our Galactic home – became one.

Since the first Galactic synchronization in the summer of 1987, with boosts in 1998, 2003 (and, some say, with the transit of Venus across the sun in 2004) the energy being beamed to earth has increased exponentially with each of the 25 years (since 1987 and) until 2012, one quarter of a century down the line. Harmonic Convergence was a watershed for crop circles, too. They started to resonate with us with increasing frequency and sophisticated design until in the final years of the ‘nineties we experienced ‘a shift’. They became our means of communication, even communion with Galactic Source. Not only does the earth continue to receive increased Galactic ‘waves’, but as we approach the final years of this Great Cycle, crop circles are increasing our excitement, anticipation of what’s in store for us Galactic children in the last years of our evolution as a race.

Long-term crop circle enthusiast, metaphysician and speaker, Freddy Silva noticed that

‘During the 1998 and 1999 seasons there was a mood swing, as if a new type of energy had lodged itself within the Earth. This energy reflected in crop circles seemed more agitated, some more disruptive to the body than usual. The veil between the the seen and the unseen felt thinner than ever. The new wave of crop circle designs fit neither the recognized hand of humans nor the will of the watchers.’

Many indigenous peoples – not just the Maya whose calendar now predominates in End Times thinking, but others like the Hopi, Inca, Apache and Modoc – work with calendars in order to predict moments of revelation, times of increased Galactic resonance, a coming together of Group Mind in us, the Gaia-earth-keepers. We are, after all, custodians of planet Earth. Those people tuned into earth changes are the first to note when such shifts occur. The Maya say God – – Hunab K’u – – is Movement and Measure which the crop circles appear to demonstrate.

Barbara and Gerry Clow in their 2004 book ‘Alchemy of Nine Dimensions’ liken the energy they feel within crop circles to ‘receiving the light’.

Barbara Clow is convinced we planetary inhabitants, either by visiting circles or seeing the signs, symbols, consciousness-triggers of their graphics, are affected in some way by them. She continues:

‘I know that many of us have been receiving these exquisite crop circle transmissions in our consciousness. When new symbols are transmitted from 8D Light, all the people on Earth are transmuted by them as Gaia herself rejuvenates.’

Her illustration shows how crop circles are made by tubes of light that are generated on fields of grain, most commonly in England. The eighth dimension (8D) is a form in the mind of God. The seventh dimension (7D) is sacred sound that can manifest form. The sixth dimension (6D) is the geometrical field that creates forms. The fifth dimension (5D) is unconditional love, an energy that comes when creation happens. The fourth dimension (4D) is where energy polarizes so that things can manifest. The third dimension (3D) is the field where the crop circle takes place.

Science fiction author and writer of the screenplay/movie ‘Day After Tomorrow’, Whitley Strieber describes Ms Clow’s book on crop circle transmissions as: ‘a message that matters tremendously to every single person on this earth. It is about nothing less than achieving relationship with a brilliant and spiritually-potent presence that has been offering itself to us for many years, and which has the capacity to transform us, starting with each one of us who is willing to open ourselves to it.’

We achieved Galactic synchronization in 1987, Galactic resonance in 1998, and Ms Clow believes we will be offered Galactic citizenship in 2012, provided we have proved by then that we are capable of reaching resonance with very high frequencies (light waves) and what she calls ‘multi-dimensional consciousness’.

Neale Donald Walsch has a final contribution to make to this new way of being: he says

‘The change goes deeper than the content of your mind, deeper than your thoughts. In fact, at the heart of the new consciousness lies the transcendence of thought, a newfound ability to rise above thought, to realize a dimension within yourself that is infinitely more vast than thought.’

As all is energy, in our own bodies, in our minds, in our combined consciousness – Galactic consciousness – we are preparing for an unprecedented change in the world we know. We are about to become part of a world we have only dreamed of.

To the new season of crop circles I say: ‘Let it begin.’

We’ve done it again. We touched base with Galactic Center on January 3rd and now we in our orbit round the sun are spiraling away, at a daily rate of four light minutes, off in the opposite direction. It is the ultimate cosmic paradox. As our days get longer, as the sun gives us four minutes more light each day until June, we are retreating from the point in the Milky Way Galaxy from which [in the view of many esoteric disciplines/world religions] we emerged. And to which, in an every-decreasing spiral, we are returning.

It takes eight minutes for light from the sun to reach us, and our solar life-giver, our connection to the stars from which we as stardust emerged, does this little wobble towards Galactic Center, the (w)hole in the middle of the Universe, every year at this time.

Look at it this way: Three days into our New Year, we came within eight light minutes of touching Source.

Our orbit does not come into such close proximity every year – this year is special – as were 1987, 1998 – and we will be back to reconnect with the Hole in the Cosmos at noon UTC on December 21st, 2012 when our orbit, the Sun’s position on the ecliptic and the Galactic Hole will line up exactly. That’s what we’re really aiming for.

It is for this reason that a lot of attention is focused right now on the prophecies foretold by the Elders of the Maya; their calendar which began in 3113BC comes full cycle on that date.

The Maya were like the Sumerians, the ancient Egyptians, and Judaic, Norse and Hindu traditions in their view of time. Their calendars were less a method of calculating days, moons and years, more a way of watching the movement of Creation. It was the Gregorian calendar of Roman Catholicism’s Pope Gregory XIII which in 1582 set us calculating by the sun, and which ultimately fixed our view of the Cosmos as a giant timepiece.

There is another view.

Albert Einstein and his lesser-known (younger) contemporary, Russian astrophysicist Nikolai Kozirev, had similar but diverging ideas. Dr Einstein’s general theory of relativity gave birth to modern quantum physics, seeing time-space as a spiraling continuum; Prof. Kozirev proved the existence of a tangible energy source within the Universe which he called ‘ether’ that surrounds us, affects us and with which we merge. Quantum physics talks about this ether as ‘dark energy’, zero-point energy, ‘virtual particles’.

Ether, from Greek aether, means ‘shining’. Its presence in the Cosmos has long been the subject of Mystery Schools whose teaching of self-mastery disciplines or the secret way to become an Ascended Master finally reveals itself as a key to understanding what we – the only ones of the human species to live through the actual experience of planetary awakening – are going through right now in these End Times.

Enough ether in a lightbulb to boil the oceans

Ether – aka Chi, prana, akasha, or if you prefer the scientific, ‘vacuum flux’, ‘quantum medium’ – is all around.

According to mainstream Physics, there is enough ‘ether‘ or zero point energy (ZPE) contained within the vacuum of a single lightbulb to bring all the world’s oceans to boiling point. And it is free… If we only knew how to harness and use it!

In the Quantum Physics world, all four of the basic force fields known to current thinkers: gravity, electromagnetism, weak nuclear force and strong nuclear force are in fact different forms of ether/ZPE. We are swimming in it. And, according to newest thinking, its point of emergence into our cosmic Universe is that hole at Galactic Center which we just flew past.

We are experiencing a meeting of minds: the belief systems of ancestral myth, religious thought and ancient calculation, are coming together with the current scientific take on our position in the Cosmos.

Science fiction meets science fact.

Now that we have narrowed down the parameters, we even have a date for Ascension.

Lightworkers around the globe smile and say the process has been going on for some time; aging ‘baby boomers’, last representatives of the ‘sixties hippie generation, have been lying in wait for just this moment to unfold; but what is exciting about the new ‘energy’ is that everybody is beginning to feel it.

Back to the Maya and their concept of the Time spiral.

By measuring the flow of evolution through a series of nine Ages, the Maya predicted Man’s quantum leaps through Great Cycles of ever-decreasing size until he reaches the moment of rebirth, reunion with Galactic Center, or Ascension. That moment of planetary enlightenment is a culmination of the present ongoing process of evolution in consciousness. In the view of an ever-increasing number of spiritual and New Age groups (I like to call it the Group Mind or Superconsciousness, because we are seeing its influence all around) this spiritual evolution is scheduled to be complete by winter solstice 2012. Each day now brings new evidence of its happening all around us. Spiritual consciousness, a change in personal attitudes, is happening so fast now it could all be over long before then!

Ages of Man: we enter the Age of Aquarius

Astrologically the 25,860-year ‘Platonic cycle’, through which Earth and all Creation moves from the moment of birth, is split into twelve Ages marked by the zodiacal signs. Each age traditionally shifts with our transition from volcanic rock, through creation of oceans, through embryo life, simple mammals. We, the human species, have already evolved through and transcended the last four of these Ages, each approximately 2200 years in length, catalogued in Earth’s great chronicles: the Bible, Egyptian Book of the Dead, Sanskrit Akashic Records. They flow with the precession of the equinoxes through that eon’s zodiac sign: Gemini (Man’s twin birth, the cloning of Eve from Adam’s rib), Taurus (Judaic Age of Golden Calf, Moses), Aries (Age of warlike expansion of Assyrian, Greek, Roman empires) Pisces (Age of Christianity). On February 14th last year we entered the Age of Aquarius, long heralded as the New Age.

In the Maya Long Count calendar, each successive age in human evolution is 20 times briefer than the one immediately preceding. I have written more fully about this in Hologram of Time and Sacred Endings. In essence, we are now in the last ‘Underworld’ or world spiral of time which began in 1999 and will end in 2012. As at November 8th, 2009, we entered the Sixth Night of the Galactic Wave Movement – the eighth of the nine Mayan levels – predicted to bring about the most significant transformation of consciousness ever in the history of mankind. These are exciting times to be alive. The spiral is contagious.

Kozirev saw all energy as part of this spiral: a spiral of time, space, creation, energy. The cells of all organisms grow in an asymmetrical spiral, from miniscule plankton to the Blue Whale; from the smallest ‘inert’ asteroid to the largest spiral galaxy. He knew that growth expands according to the proportions of sacred geometry, the ‘Golden Mean’, at a predetermined ratio of Fibonacci numbers – the Phi-spiral, called by the Greeks the golden ratio.

His theory is now accepted that all space surrounding the earth and within the entire Galaxy spirals clockwise (has right-hand spin). This means that all energy is influenced to spin clockwise as it travels through the physical vacuum. A spinning source emits energy; and a spinning source with more than one form of movement, such as a star, a black hole (or wormhole) rotating while also orbiting within a galaxy, produces a dynamic form of energy called torsion. This phenomenon allows torsion waves to propel through space instead of simply staying in one place. Kozirev suggested that torsion fields like gravity and electromagnetism are capable of moving from one place to another through the universe at ‘superluminal velocity’, that is, at speeds greater than light.

In his field of Exotic Physics, it is said that an impulse moving directly through the fabric of space-time at superluminal velocity (and separate from gravity or electromagnetism) – like the photon energy source emanating from the Hole at Galactic Center which is transmitting a pulsating energy beam towards Earth in increasing strength as we spiral closer – has direct influence on our cell growth, our spiraling DNA.

Our DNA is in fact being updated.

Kozirev’s ether, the clockwise torsion of Galactic Center, is not only creating a beckoning Stargate, but it is altering our physical bodies to absorb energy from this photon source, while the combined forces of ancient mythical, spiritual and New Age disciplines alter our minds. We are being prepared, whether we like it or not, for our move from the mundane to the celestial.

Unlike James Cameron’s Avatar, we are not human minds in an alien body searching for truth; rather we are becoming our own embodiment of Avatar, in the Sanskrit meaning, ‘one who descends from the heavens’ to lift ourselves aloft.

Just as we are uniting in the physical as an evolved (human) race populating the third planet from our orbiting sun, we are uniting in consciousness to become a single (Group Mind) unit which in the few days remaining of the last Great Cycle is preparing itself to ascend, to become Superconsciousness or Overmind as we return to Source.

New Year’s Eve – the last day of 2009 or Hogmanay, as the Scots call it – will be triply auspicious. Not only is it the eve of a new year, a new decade no less, but it will be graced by a full moon, a partial lunar eclipse, and the Moon will be Blue. In celestial spheres you might say we are being given the royal treatment; or at least being sent a signal.

When a month is graced with two full moons, the second one is called a blue moon. You know, the ‘once in a blue moon’ blue moon? Because our modern calendar calculates by the sun (annual orbit of the Earth round the sun takes 365.25 days), its 30- and 31-day months take us out of synch with our nearest neighbour, whose cycle is 29.53 days. Only the female menstrual cycle and the oceans remain in touch with our lunar companion. The rest of humanity seems to have forgotten what cosmic rhythm is.

Because of the lunar/solar anomaly, only 41 months in every century can be called true blue moon months, hence a fairly rare occasion. The blue moon cycle of 2.72 years, therefore, makes it something special. December 2009 already had a full moon on the night of December 1st/2nd. The last blue moon month was May 2007 and the next will occur in August 2012.

This New Year’s Eve, because the full moon always rises at the moment of sunset on the opposite horizon and because the moon will not be full this December 31st until 7:13pm GMT, those of us in the Old World will be able to witness the full orb of Luna rise at sunset in the Northeastern skies on Hogmanay night. That’s 4pm GMT in London, home counties, Midlands and Birmingham and about half an hour earlier (3:20pm) in Edinburgh where Hogmanayers will only just be starting their all-night revelry. Four hours later, as Jupiter prepares to set in the southwestern sky, the moon’s disc reaches its fullest and the Earth moves between her and the sun to cast a shadow over her in partial eclipse. This moment of maximum partiality occurs at 19:23 UTC, 7:23pmGMT or 11:23am PST. In astronomical terms it is not a full (total) eclipse because earth’s shadow (eclipse magnitude) will only reach 0.0763, but for us earthlings in the eastern hemisphere it will still be a singular sight.

At midnight when Hogmanay reaches crisis point in Scotland’s capital, when they shoot off fireworks from the battlements of Edinburgh castle to welcome the new year to the screech of bagpipes, very few, I suspect, will note that the ‘New Year star’, Sirius, reaches its zenith in our northern skies. Sirius will stand behind Orion in the south with the Moon, in Cancer, followed in close proximity by our secondmost close neighbour Mars, the ‘red’ planet, retracing its steps through Leo as we enter 2010. The ringed giant does not arrive on the scene until late when the revellers are wending their weary way home: Saturn is a ‘morning’ planet right now, best seen in the east in the hours before dawn, with its spectacular rings just starting to ‘open’ to our view.

That’s the astronomical picture.

The astrological one is a little different. It reflects a vastly complex array of planetary influences to which our ancestors paid heed, but which Technological Man tends to ignore. However, like the menstrual cycle affecting the female population, it is well, occasionally, to pay attention to heavenly bodies and the way they appear to sway our passage through the cosmos.

At winter solstice the Sun enters the cardinal earth sign of Capricorn, having played and filled us with optimism in late November while in fiery Sagittarius, encouraging us to look to the future, fulfill our dreams. Capricorn Sun and Cancer full Moon bring those dreams and our grasp on reality into sharp focus: both make us examine our ‘outer’ career, capabilities, achievement potential and ‘inner’ love of family, home, need for a peaceful centre: their polarity challenges us to fix our relationships. Cancer may be content to be dependent, Capricorn urges us to be grown-up and responsible. Cancer represents the origin, Capricorn looks to the goal. In this mix stands the astrological giant Saturn in Libra, exerting discipline, demanding that we find balance. Mars, because of retrograde motion in Leo, is teasing us, telling us ego fantasies, diverting our attention from the path of loving acceptance. Our usual mental messenger, our Mercurial helper is currently useless; he is doing a backwards dance through Capricorn and being uncommunicative. It is up to us to review how well we’re using our own natural-financial-mental resources. However, on January 5th, Mercury is joined by loving Venus, so all is not lost. There is hope in the days ahead. The loving, healing solution may show us a way through our planetary difficulties.

Fortunately, we may still call on the largest of the planets: Jupiter, which presently consorts with another friendly giant, Neptune, the bringer of change. Together they stand in forward-looking Aquarius and are guaranteed to bring abundance into our lives, fresh ideas, a new focus, perhaps even a totally unexpected way of solving our problems. Both reflect the potential for the spiritual, the mystical, even a miracle, to bring about the change we cannot perceive ourselves.

This brings us to the spiritual view.

At the time of the December solstice each year the sun approaches the heart of the Milky Way, our Home Galaxy, and conjoins with Galactic Center in the constellation Sagittarius. At this time of year the Earth also gets closest to our own star, Sol. Closest point in our orbit, perihelion, happens annually on January 2nd/3rd.

Through the ages, after solstice when the sun moves northward along the horizon again, each month setting farther and farther north, the period from winter solstice to summer solstice was festival season. In several ancient civilizations winter solstice was associated with the return of a Sun-God to save the world, the bringer of light and fruitfulness to the earth, and hope to humanity.

Spiritual communities too, mindful of ritual handed down from ancestral hierarchies, hold winter solstice sacred, meditating and communing with the silence of winter in a kind of mental hibernation which itself opens up communication with Source. It is at midwinter that many begin preparations for the three major festivals of spring and summer: in the Celtic calendar they are known as Imbolc (February 2nd), spring equinox (Ostara, Easter) and Beltainn (May 1st).

Other indigenous cultures celebrate on these dates, the Hopi, Maya, Chinese, Arab, Vedic and Zulu, but one which has gained world-wide recognition is the May full moon celebration of Wesak, the greatest festival in the Buddhist calendar. All surviving cultures which perpetuate these ancient forms begin with a meditation at winter solstice which culminates in the May celebration.

It is fascinating, then, to discover that in using an ancient technique of knowing when the planet is at its closest to Galactic Center, by aligning with cosmic energy emanating from the black hole at the center of the Milky Way, at the crossing of Galactic Center with celestial ecliptic, at a time when the Earth is herself at her perihelion, closest to her own star, and when the stella maris, the ‘spiritual sun’ Sirius is at her zenith, ancient civilizations and their modern devotees discovered a means to tuning into the cosmic Source of all energy, knowing, and guidance.

In the sacred Long Count calendar of the Maya, one of the most accessible of ancient calculations to modern man, within a period called a Great World Age, an eon, an unimaginably-huge 26,000-year timespan, there are only a few moments when we Earth people come closest to the center of this cosmic cross, the point where the ecliptic crosses the Milky Way, at precise center of our Galaxy.

Galactic Center where stars are born

This nebulous area of the Universe, where stars are born, is our own cosmic womb, from which we, as stardust emerged. It is from this hole in the Cosmos that many spiritual masters and followers believe emanates a divine energy; that the centre of the galaxy is constantly emitting and transmitting a pure energy source which may be utilized in our conscious co-creative process to amplify and transmit new programmes of operation to us, to amplify our awareness and to broadcast light energy directly to enhance human DNA.

In the mythology of the Maya, it is to this great birth canal or womb aperture that Creator-sun-god Quetzalcoatl, mythical feathered serpent, one who crawls on Mother Earth but also flies in the heavens will return on winter solstice 2012. This cosmic re-union symbolizes the joining of spirit with matter, in order to be reborn: the Shift of the Ages.

Our alignment with Galactic Center occurs only once in every 25,800 years. We have come close to it several times in the last three decades. During the so-called ‘Galactic alignment period’, or ‘era-2012’ between 1980 and 2016, the closest the Earth came to Galactic Center was on December 21st, 1998.

Is it any wonder then that we as a species are being given a few reminders of this cosmic date only a couple of years up the stellar turnpike?

If Galactic Center is transmitting messages, is it not logical for us, a technologically advanced civilization, to pick up the spiritual phone?

It is Solstice. Tonight is the longest night of the year for planet Earth’s northern hemisphere dwellers. It is at midwinter when all animals (except the human creature) go within, curl up and meditate in their own fashion; and wait for the light to return.

They took time out from their hard agricultural working life to create ‘recumbent’ stone circles which would mark forever that point on the horizon where the sun set at winter solstice. Five thousand years ago solstice was celebrated with fire. They’d learned that fire embodied in the Sun seemed to disappear forever; then was miraculously rekindled, reawakened and with it their land, their precious earth on which all depended, would respond; it began anew to nurture seed into growth, to produce fruit and harvest all over again.

It must have seemed like a miracle at solar standstill when, after disappearing for seventeen hours, the sunlight returned and days began to lengthen once more. Seventeen hours of darkness is a long time if you live in a cave, an earth dugout or a stone mound.

The human subconscious appears to retain partial memory of this primordial condition which animals have, because in northern latitudes midwinter is often celebrated to an irrational degree. It is as if at a cellular level we remember that after galactic stillpoint is reached, the Earth starts to awaken once more and we realize that the Universe is going to keep on turning. What a blessing. What a miracle. What better reason to rejoice?

It is said our biological form is quintessentially-adapted for language: that the Word has created in our brain’s motor centers a highly developed auditory discrimination, with rapid muscular response in tongue, lips and palate; but we were not its makers. It was a gift from Creation which we have evolved to a remarkable sophistry. Fire, on the other hand was Man’s ultimate discovery.

At the forty-fifth parallel of latitude, in the cave vaults of Choukoutien near Beijing, a heavy-browed paleoanthropic form of Man with a cranial capacity as low as 860cc gnawed marrow bones and chipped stone implements. His time lies 500,000 years remote from this and yet in those years of the second Ice Age, this Man, with scarcely two-thirds of our modern cranial capacity, used fire.

Is it any wonder, then, that world mythology is filled with tales of sorcerer-priests who conjure light, the hero-giant stealer of fire from the gods? In discovering fire, were we not amazed at our ability to do as the gods themselves, to create Light?

In that dark cave half a million years ago ‘Peking Man’ created a spark which dispelled the darkness. His was the crucible which contained our entire human future. Have we not ever since – at a cellular level – been searching to return to that same realm of Light?

In our reaching for the stars we have for generations been guided by mythology, world religions, the ancient astrological zodiac calendar and by our own deep need for an otherworldly force which is both strong and loving. In myth, the goddess Ishtar/Isis is the celestial mother/lover (Roman Venus); in a crossover with astronomy she is seen as the stella maris, the heavenly guide to mariners, the star of the (celestial) sea, Sirius, Canis Major, the brightest of the fixed stars, whose heliacal rising marked the beginning of the Ancient Egyptian calendar on July 19-20: end of zodiacal Cancer, beginning of astrological Leo.

In Babylonian legend, the redeemer of the world, Celestial Man, is expected to rise from the heart of the (cosmic) Ocean.

Ancient Man looked to the heavens for inspiration. Medieval Man was convinced heaven was right out there among the stars. It is only we, modern homo (so-called) sapiens who forgets to do that kind of communing with the Universe.

On the other hand select niches in our society still seek: within the scientific establishment the search for extra-terrestrial life (SETI) continues apace. Carl Sagan, exobiologist, astronomer and visionary, along with his colleagues at Cornell, created a fashion in the early ’70s for that kind of exploration.

He said:

‘We are starfolk, but we live in the galactic boondocks where the action isn’t’

and took steps, aided by NASA, to communicate with any advanced civilizations out there which might deign to reply. In sending the Pioneer 10’s message plaque of gold-plated aluminum to a star region in the vicinity of Taurus/Orion, they hoped to trigger a response from any listening/receiving civilization.

His argument was that any evolved star-beings who were less advanced than us (and in his day, we earthlings were only ten years into being categorized as ‘advanced’ ourselves), would be incapable of responding. Only civilizations more advanced than us would understand the message and have the capability to reply. He also rationalized the graphics of the message sent: reasoning that other galactic residents might not understand English, German, Swahili, Urdu; but they would understand mathematics, astronomy, physics.

Shortly after launching interstellar spacecraft Pioneer in March 1972, SETI directed efforts to beaming radio telescope transmissions to the stars. The latest of these was sent from Arecibo, Puerto Rico towards the Vega-Altair-Deneb triangle in 1999. By that time radio frequency was a speedier means of transmission than the fuel-propelled Pioneer space vehicle where a destination of even the nearest star (four light years distant) would not be reached for 80,000 years.

Besides they reasoned that if any civilizations were listening in/eavesdropping on us the Arecibo message was joining a century of transmissions from our planet, starting with Marconi’s first wireless communication in 1897.

It is thirteen years since Carl Sagan’s premature death on winter solstice 1996. He would be intrigued to learn of the massing body of evidence in favour of extra-terrestrial communication. The crop circle archive alone is superb. Not only does it communicate in the languages of science he advocated (mathematics, physics, astronomy), but, based on his premise that a more advanced civilization would find a more sophisticated means of communicating with us than we had with them, their graphics succeed in touching us at a cellular and emotional level, as well as pointing us to the stars.

Ancient World religions like the Judaic, Arabic, Egyptian, Babylonian, Greek and Vedic faiths have frequent admonitions to look to the stars, to ‘observe in the east’, to watch the heavens for signs.

Our society is on the cusp of the year 2010. We have a Space Station partially operational; Hubble and SOHO (Solar and Heliospheric Observatory) are in orbit; CERN has just collided atoms at an unprecedented rate in the tunnels below Geneva in Switzerland. We are technically advanced.

What about our spirit?

If our heads were not so clouded by traffic jams and mind jams and living in a race for security and success, we might pause for this moment of solstice – the last in a single digit year for a century – and look to the heavens with awe. Two of our neighbours in the solar system, the crescent moon and Jupiter, shine brilliantly together shortly after sunset in the night sky. We have just experienced a multi-colour array of Geminid meteors emanating from the constellation which follows Orion through the night, with our brightest star, Sirius, stella maris, hovering below. It is the season for aurora borealis, which has already peaked over the Canadian Arctic. These are ‘commonplace’ wonders. However, we have also been treated to some unusual cosmic ‘signs’.

On the day that President Barack Obama was travelling to Oslo, Norway to accept his Nobel Peace Prize, a spiral of light appeared in the skies over Tromsö and reflected light down to earth for twelve minutes ending in a circular hole of light. The spiral is an archetypal symbol representing cosmic force. It was used by all formative cultures in their art: civilizations from the Neolithic North Britons to Celtic Gaul, Egyptians, Japanese, Hopi, Nazca, Arabic, African and Hindu all use this representation of Cosmic Energy. Its appearance added to world spiritual expectation of a sign in the heavens to herald the birth of a New Age.

Surrounded by these new signs, we may not have noticed that there have been a number of transmissions from Sirius; not beamed, like the crop circles, via light or laser technology, but in a method which travels equally as fast. Using a transference common in the realm of mind messages or ‘channeling’, an entity calling itself SaLuSa speaks from the Galactic Federation through Mike Quinsey, using the most comforting and inspiring words of encouragement to those of us experiencing difficulty adjusting to effects of the long predicted ‘end-times’.

‘We ask you once again to keep your eyes on the skies. These are the days when the signs have become talking points, that will awaken people’s awareness, not just to our presence but our methods of contact with you. For many years we have made crop circles as one means of getting your attention. As you will have noticed in more recent times, they have become more sophisticated. The messages they send have been interpreted, and their symbolism correctly understood. They have carried energy with them, and even although everyone has not understood them, it has connected with them sub-consciously.’

If Carl Sagan were still with us, I think he might consider this form of transmission equally valid from an advanced stellar civilization. After all his criteria suggested that those who had survived a post-nuclear age without exterminating either themselves or their habitat would be in a better frame of consciousness to extend the vibration of ascension and assistance to help another up the ladder of evolution.
