Few followers of the crop circle phenomenon would expect anything dramatic to appear in English fields in mid October. Technically, the season is over. Now is the time when Wiltshire’s canal-side pubs have rescued their outdoor chairs and tables from the drenching rain and put up shutters for another year. And yet at some deep level one can venture to describe as ‘beyond our ken’, there have been other forces at work. Several ‘croppies’ hoped for just one more image to satisfy their craving, to confirm their belief that there was something still to come and, remarkably another ‘final’ design of the season—the ‘conduit closing’ message of 2012—appeared overnight October 14th next to neolithic sacred site Windmill Hill, above.

Located at one of Wiltshire’s favored hotspots, more significantly the new design was ‘anticipated’, at least by a small group of devotees, praying to have their belief confirmed by an answer in the corn.

This is not the first time crop circle enthusiasts have ‘wished for’ a design and one appeared. In the 1990s there were several instances of preemptive visualization, not least of these being the Mandelbrot Set crop formation of August 11, 1991, documented in full by Joseph Mason. Throughout that decade Freddie Silva expounded his theory that all crop circles were produced by ultrasound. Another visionary of the 1990s crop circle resurgence, Paul Vigay (1964-2009) corresponded with former Stonehenge decoder Gerald S. Hawkins, and they both agreed that sacred sound had a significant place in the creation of such ephemeral appearances. Hawkins had then recently succeeded in decyphering the Milk Hill script sent by the circlemakers in answer to his colleagues’ demand: “Talk to us” in 1991.

Vigay’s work with Hawkins led to a previously obscure relationship between sacred geometry and intervals on the music scale noticed by the ancient Egyptians: their ‘frozen music’, below. To Vigay it was a natural progression to make recordings of pixel images of crop circles which he played through a computer program, converting pixels to sound. He discovered the resulting music had a quality conducive to meditation, relaxation and deep contentment: essentially sounds in the ‘alpha’ wave band.

Many indigenous and antique civilizations had knowledge that sound could affect matter: or that certain sound frequencies are light-resonant. This information held by the priesthoods of various religions and cultures was known as Sacred Sound or the ‘Lost Chord’. See our earlier research on the healing chambers within certain pyramids which were ‘wired for sound’.

These sacred sounds form a predetermined scale of octaves.The human voice, when suitably reverent, is also one of those tones which can affect its surroundings. One has only to hear a child being lulled to sleep by a mother’s comforting song to know that such frequencies break down barriers, cross into unseen worlds.

In the Beginning was the Word
In the late nineties, before they both died, Gerald Hawkins and Paul Vigay agreed that crop circle designs manifested precisely according to Hawkins’s theory based on four principles found in Euclidean/sacred geometry, that:

“… theorem involves concentric circles each touching the sides of a triangle, and as the triangle changes shape, it generates special crop-circle geometries”

He developed a fifth crop-circle theorem elaborating on the triangle, finding that if several concentric circles touched at the triangle’s sides and corners, different triangles gave different sets of circles. He was astonished to find that the ratios within triangles, circles and other geometric configurations equated sacred design used by the ancient Egyptians— and that they likened geometry to ‘frozen music’.

An equilateral triangle produces one of the observed crop-circle patterns; three isoceles triangles generate the other crop-circle geometries. What is most surprising is that all geometries give diatonic—musical—ratios. Before us, only the Egyptians linked geometric theorems with music.

In the crop circle community the paranormal has never been the only attraction for circlewatchers. There are those who doubt, but many more believe that electromagnetic, sonar and solar powers are at work. In the 2012 season of many pitfalls—despite angry removal of designs by harassed farmers, long periods of rain, a dominant theme has nevertheless penetrated the cropwatcher psyche—that transmission via ancient serpent earth-energy is alive and wishing to communicate with those earth-dwellers willing to believe such communication possible.

For those passionate crop circle followers who lovingly noted each bent node or whisker of a central tuft since the wet season of 2012 began, the prehistoric sacred triangle centered on Avebury—radiating northwest to Windmill Hill, east to Marlborough and south-south-east via the ancient Ridgeway, Silbury, West Kennet and the Sanctuary to Woodborough Hill—has manifested miracles. The ancient energy which drew neolithic farmers from their precious labor to erect sacred stones in respect for its potency, was the same electromagnetic force recognized by current researchers as being instrumental in producing crop formations.

Avebury heartland is simultaneously neolithic stone circle heaven, and twenty-first century crop circle hub. And it looked as if the sacredness was beginning to rub off.

Stories like the Hawkins group-decyphering abound within cropcircle internet groups and their Wiltshire colleagues, the on-the-ground experts who watch each year and share interpretations.

In late August, after a dreary year of rain-drenched crops, with anxious farmers cutting fields as soon as standing grain was dry enough to drive a combine through, several crop designs came and went overnight. The build-up of croppie anticipation was dashed in several instances of crop circles being cut out before visitors could set foot in fragile fields. In many instances, solitary aerial photographs were a boon to those making the journey on foot, only to find a formation had vanished. Many felt disappointment, experienced no clearcut finale , as in previous seasons.

As the season lengthened into fall, and September 11th drew on to equinox—many Maya-inspired followers were anticipating a series of consecutive energy portals described vividly by Maya scholar Miguel Etchepare, featured in our last blog, A small intrepid group-within-a-group sensing a need for closure and an energy-doorway offering an opportunity, synchronously envisaged asking for another design to appear. If a communal prayer went up, perhaps the spirit of the corn might hear and send a reply.

The Visualization:
Hesitant amateurs at first, the ‘experiment’ couldn’t decide on what to visualize: the last CC had been the stunning August 26th hypercube, above: an exquisitely executed UFO-launch pad at Hackpen Hill. Yet the dominant theme of previous months had been the ‘tadpoles’, dragon-energy, the voice of Mother Earth-serpent before she settled on her sacred nest. The Maya Tzolkin portal presented ten consecutive days full of serpent energy; intense discussion followed via various threads, and design suggestions came forward. The inspiration percolated.

Our ancestors would have been proud of us: a twenty-first century group of predominantly western first-world types who didn’t really believe in folk magic; didn’t really think they could do something so connected to the Group Mind. But Brazilian astronomer Etchepare suggested, instead of a multitude of wishful-thinking-dreamscape-ideas—which could dissipate group energy—a simple stylized serpent head/upheld curved angel wings, above right, the die was cast. The graphic was posted on Facebook, people got on with their lives; but subliminally, we must all have waited and wondered…

Meanwhile Miguel, spurred on by the Tzolkin portal, was simultaneously being given divine inspiration to interpret the remarkable Lammas serpentine appearance which nestled at Avebury, August 1st. See his remarkable video, below, one of an interpretive series, linking the serpents within the neolithic amphitheatre of Avebury, Woodborough, Picked Hill to the rising of the Serpent—constellation Serpens, held by Ophiuchus—alongside planets Saturn, Mars, Mercury and Venus as a prelude to dawn on December 21st, 2012.

No wonder our prayer in sound had potency. All the energy was there. Croppies believed! As individuals focused in their own way—but on an energetic level presenting a communal tone—voiced or unvoiced—the ‘intent’, ‘request’, belief for a final glyph to appear, was sent aloft: not perhaps on the same physical level as the SETI or Arecibo transmissions of the 1970s-1990s, but, intuitively, prayerfully, with focused intent from the Group Mind to the energy matrix ‘out there’.

The Prayer:
As we all know, the sound of a loved one’s voice, or a prayer released in earnest petition, can hold a vibration similar to music. From Gregorian chant to cathedral choir to rock and roll, music creates its own sacred vibration. The original utterance made by God in all Hebrew, Aramaic, Arab and Vedic tradition was the ‘Word’: a sound issuing through the airwaves. Regardless of how one interprets it, a sound by a dedicated—however small—group of humanity issued during September 11th weekend rose into the creative matrix to swirl with other sounds among the stars.

A strictly ordered system of mathematical progressions is necessary to create the smallest speck of matter from the primeval matrix of space. This mathematical fractal progression utilizes the mathematical equation relating to three Sacred Sounds

Prayer answered?
It would seem the prayer invoked an answer—perhaps more than one. The Tzolkin portal seemed to act like a live ‘conduit’ between the Oversoul, the Group Mind and the fields. The ‘galactic activation’ windows, September 11-21, which sliced through equinox blues and inspired Etchepare’s Soothing Serpents series on YouTube, suddenly on new moon weekend, October 13th, produced a new formation—magically—in Miguel’s home country of Brazil. If that were not proof enough, immediately on its heels came a second—final—design on British soil: the much-anticipated curving motif of October 14th at Windmill Hill, top. Even the most skeptic among us can see it bears resemblance to the ‘prayer’ motif, second top.

We were told in Chilbolton 2002, that there is good out there; that we should believe.

Among crop circle believers—marginalized at the best of times—there now exists a warm fuzzy feeling: an answer did come: there is good out there.

The Pyramid Parallax: Light, Electricity & Music of the Spheres

Recent discoveries emerging from Egypt suggest the existence in prehistory of a world-wide pyramid/sacred temple system, mounted like antennae on key earth energy meridians which were used by ancient priest-scientists as an electrical system; as a network to produce healing sound frequencies; or even in times of emergency, to stabilize the tectonic plates of the planet by means of harmonics.

Modern engineers are familiar with the properties of quartz (oscillating frequencies in electronics; timepieces all rely on quartz crystal) and that the flow of water through chalk (limestone, calcium carbonate) can replicate the flow of electricity like current from a battery.

It is well known that the chalk aquifer of the Wiltshire basin and neighboring Oxfordshire acts as one of the world’s best conductors of electricity, and that megalithic sites like Stonehenge, Avebury, Rollright and Silbury Hill show detectable rises in electromagnetic radiation within their precincts, when compared with much lower ‘background’ radiation outside. Quartz inclusions in stone circles allowed them to act as energy storage devices.

Silbury Hill itself is a giant chalk pyramid, the highest manmade mound in Europe. Under certain conditions it acts as a huge quartz crystal radiating energy outwards from its core.

Both limestone and granite have electrical qualities. Granite is slightly radioactive and has the ability to ionize or electrify the air. It releases radon gas which has a radioactive charge. In Wiltshire the underlying limestone — holding water or allowing it to flow — floods during summer thunderstorms and then dwindles as it drains into rivers. Silbury Hill, which has a measureable charge, and stone circles like Rollright, Stonehenge and Avebury all produce radiation — particularly at sunrise — when sunlight acts on the electrical energy stored in the stones and converts it to ultrasound.

And over the last thirty years or so — more concentrated in the last twenty — we have noticed this unique electromagnetic landscape being used for some other remarkable transmissions through space and time, using a technology which is far beyond anything we have today in common usage, and it’s been happening approximately fifty times each summer across southern England, continental Europe and sporadically in other locations where there is proximity to a sacred ancestral place of ritual/worship: the crop circle phenomenon.

Physicists, engineers and other scientists agree that telluric energy is a natural consequence of certain combinations of geology and water flow. It seems our ancestors knew this and were much more advanced than we give them credit for — that perhaps we modern souls with access to almost limitless technological resources may have a few lessons to learn in order to catch up.

For instance between 1977-83 Dr Don Robins and the Dragon Project via London’s Institute of Archaeology, with support from the Getty Institute, measured electrical and ultrasound emissions at Rollright, Oxon. Robins’s results, compiled in a hasty publication, Circles of Silence (1985 )* were remarkable. The sun had a clear effect on electromagnetic stimulation and resonance within the circle.

John Burke, a biological engineer from Boston University has measured before and after thunderstorms in Wiltshire, at Silbury, at Tikal in Mexico and on the Giza plateau above the Nile whose annual inundation is legendary. According to him, this aqueous fluctuation process produces a measurable change in the magnetic field.

‘The rising and falling of the Nile at Giza each year produces a constant flowing of water through layers of limestone which generates an electrical charge which generates an electric current which generates a magnetic field. So if you wanted to boost a charge to a monument, it would make sense to have running water nearby.’

At Tikal, the great stone terraces under the pyramid were constructed to allow water to flow down giant steps in two separate streams around the pyramid. Because water flowing in neighboring parallel streams sets up a current, it is likely the Maya used the resulting electrical charge for purposes of ritual celebration.

Current thinking in the archaeo-engineering field suggests that the megalith builders were aware of such electromagnetic currents; how the strength or weakness of solar radiation affected them; and that they built their sacred sites to amplify them.

Burke believes these structures were placed in areas where unusual geology naturally concentrates electromagnetic energy – that EM energy is amplified by geological surroundings. Sometimes — where these lines of energy cross — they generate electrical currents in the land.

When the megalithic builders designed these great structures & then built them, in such a way as to further concentrate those earth energies, it suggests they understood what they were doing and it looks as if they were attempting to control and use this energy for their own purposes. ‘Certain types of geology will magnify that earth energy several-fold. In a
place where one area of ground which has a good ability to conduct electricity meets another area which has a lesser ablity to conduct these currents, it creates a charge — it’s called conductivity discontinuity. Also most dramatic change in magnetic strength per hour happens in the pre-dawn hours and wherever you get a change in magnetic field occurring, it generates electricity. It’s a basic/universal physics principle called induction. In the Egyptian desert temples were often built where these lines intersect. It opens up a whole new area of sacred science. Sacred sites were chosen carefully, and precisely where pyramids were constructed the suspicion arises that they understood much more about this stuff than we do. And they were using it for their engineering.’

Earth’s geomagnetic field is strongest when receiving sunlight during the day, weakest at night, when it’s dark. The Sun’s rays constantly fall on some part of the planet as it spins and this motion itself creates an electromagnetic ‘dynamo’.

Burke explains key times to experience the phenomenon are pre-dawn because the fluctuation of energy originating in daily changes in the Earth’s geomagnetic field are then at their most dramatic. At this time the weaker field lines now come roaring back to close to full strength very quickly over a short period — as the sun rises and brings light/heat to the earth.

‘Because we’ve been taught the ancient Egyptians had only copper tools and simple pulley systems — that their technology was primitive — we’re not looking there (Giza and pyramid plateaux) for higher level technology.’

The existence of telluric/geomantic energy has long been supported by dowsers and others sensitive to its power. Sometimes known as ley lines, they are seen as bands of energy running between megalithic sites. Most famous in England is the St Michael Ley which runs from Land’s End, Cornwall through Glastonbury Tor, Avebury/Silbury and ends on the Norfolk/Suffolk county border on the east coast. It was traditionally used as a ‘pilgrim’s way’ for Christian devotion, superimposed on a far older sacred pilgrimage route.

John Michell, renowned telluric energy guru, mystic and author of 40 books including New View over Atlantis (Thames and Hudson 1983) died last year. In his busy life (Eton and Trinity, Cambridge, linguist and Russian translator, inspiration for Fortean Times), he was seen as the founding father of the Earth Mysteries movement in England. A recurring theme in Michell’s work, from City of Revelation to The Measure of Albion, is of universal truths codified in nature and continually being rediscovered from ancient times up to the present day.

The other (south-north) line intersecting at Glastonbury starts at Carnac in Brittany, cuts through Derbyshire’s all-quartz stone circle Arbor Low in the White Peak District (carboniferous limestone), and continues to Aberdeenshire’s 20-foot high (granite) Memsie Cairn at Fraserburgh and on to Orkney’s famous 26-ft high Maes Howe mound.

Greek geographer Strabo, writing in the early years of the 1st century, tells of the 27 BC earthquake that shattered the northern quartz Colossus of Memnon at Thebes, collapsing it from the waist up. Following its rupture, this statue was able to ‘sing’ again as it had every morning at dawn since its original construction by Amenhotep III in 14th centuryBC. The dual colossi were originally created in 1350 BC by this powerful pharaoh to flank the eastern entrance to his devotional temple at ancient Thebes on the west bank of the Nile opposite modern Luxor. In historic times, Roman engineers, thinking to rescue the images from flooding which threatened the ground on which the temple stood, transported the two 60ft statues to their present site and in so doing silenced the singing effigies of the pharaoh. They also tried to patch the broken torso but their engineering attempts failed. The statues now stand out of alignment. They no longer face directly into the sun at dawn, which was Amenhotep’s original intention. At his Theban temple — open to his people to serve their daily devotion to him as a living god, his priestly calculations had the temple portals with these flanking Colossi face due East to capture the moment of sunrise. The Rising of sun-god Ra triggered a devotional sound in the stone, its ringing amplified through the temple which would have caused the whole foundation to vibrate. This would be seen as the Pharaoh’s own superhuman magic, his god-like ability (as Ba-Ra, son of the Sun) to harness the power of the sun.

Little remains of Amenhotep III‘s temple in Thebes and the quartz torso replaced by substandard sandstone during Roman engineering rescue attempts was never found. Strabo heard it sing when he visited in 20BC. Both Greeks and Romans were drawn to its supposed oracular ability to voice and believed that good fortune attended anyone hearing the tone. The Greeks fondly dubbed them Colossi of Memnon, after their hero of the Trojan war and referred to the entire Theban Necropolis as the Memnonium. It was 14thC BC Egyptian technology, however, that produced the whistling moaning sound from hewn quartzite sandstone quarried at Cairo and transported 420 miles upstream to Thebes to face the sun at the temple entrance, due east, knowing of the sun’s ability to transmute quartzite crystals so that they emit sound as the sun’s disk rose at dawn. Not only did Amenhotep create a portal for the first light of day to penetrate his temple, but in its rising the Sun triggered a sacred hum of healing sound.

The legend of the voicing Memnon’s oracular powers spread through Aegean, Mediterranean and Roman culture — the length of the then known world — bringing a stream of visitors, followers, Roman Emperors, generals and Greek historians, who came to marvel and hear the statue ‘speak’. But mysterious vocalizations of the broken colossus ceased in AD199, when Roman Emperor Septimius Severus, in an attempt to curry favour with the Oracle, reassembled the two shattered halves, using stone from a different limestone quarry to replace the broken torso. It never spoke again.

It is now scientific probability that similar sonic and electrical qualities were harnessed by earlier pharaohs in deliberate siting of Old Kingdom pyramids: the Giza plateau in particular is singled out for resonance and its dramatic ability to capture solar fluctuations. It is no coincidence that those three quartzite pyramids set on their limestone plateau are built on an exact scale representation of three stars in Orion’s belt, Alnitak, Alnilam, and Mintaka. Other pyramid complexes in the riverine Band of Peace mirror star positions: on a celestial ‘landscape’ with Orion’s belt at Giza, Heliopolis (in the south) reflects the constellation Leo (sphinx god) and Abusir in the north represents the Pleiades star cluster over Orion’s head. Scale was calculated with remarkable accuracy. This earthly triangle of energy mirroring three celestial clusters in a heavenly triangle helped keep track of Sothis/Sirius, the Dog Star in the middle and brightest star in the night sky, whose reappearance after 70 days of invisibility below the Egyptian horizon was cause for celebration — coinciding with the annual inundation of the Nile, return of fertility, plentiful water, abundant food supply.

Today's technology outshone by the Ancients'

Indigenous wisdom-keeper and Egyptian Elder Abd’El Hakim Awyan, who died in 2009, firmly believed in his ancestors’ powers to manipulate electromagnetic currents and conduit solar forces to produce technology greater than we have today.

At Saqqara, in Old Kingdom capital Memphis, the House of the Spirit at the base of the Step Pyramid of Djozer (2667-2648 BC) was a place of healing sound. Chambers in this temple were harmonically tuned to different frequencies, creating huge fields of harmonic resonance, just as later Gothic cathedrals filled sacred geometry with sound.

The Giza plateau is solid chalk and all three pyramids, ’15 million tons of quarried stone’ (built by 4th Dynasty rulers Khufu, 2589-2566BC, his son Khefren, 2520-2494, and his grandson Menkhare, 2490-2472) were constructed of limestone, two with a granite casing and pink Aswan granite interior, while the largest/earliest, the Great Pyramid, most significantly consisted of dolomite: carboniferous limestone with a high magnesium content. It also has interior galleries lined with granite. Its final outer layer was coated with limestone dust so smooth that it glistened and gleamed white in the sun. All were sited to witness sunrise at both summer and winter solstices.

John Burke’s electrical analogy expands. He suggests that perhaps the Great Pyramid –maybe all three pyramids on the plateau — were deliberately built for a light show, a demonstration of the work of the gods in action.

The Great Pyramid was constructed of magnesium-rich dolomite with a core of granite-lined galleries or tubes which ran from underground aquifers up through the pyramid to its highest gallery at the peak. Its final outer coating was a thick membrane of calcium carbonate, essentially an insulator. ‘This combination gives you a highly electrical conductive core wrapped in a perfect insulator. I asked myself why granite should be used for the tunnels.

‘Granite is slightly radioactive and it will ionize or electrify the air. So was their purpose to keep the tunnels electrically charged?

‘If you ran a copper wire from limestone layers in the aquifer up through the tunnels in the pyramid to the opening at the top, it would become electrically charged. You could light a lightbulb by it today. So did they use the same mechanism to make the pyramid into a light source?’ he wonders.

‘You get a concentration of negative charge below ground, a concentration of positive charge above it and if they become strong enough you begin to get what’s called a flush discharge – A GLOW’

That’s John Burke’s theory. So, did the Great Pyramid glow in the dark?

He suggests their technology went further. In times of drought or when less water moved through the aquifer, the granite-lined chambers would have acted as conduits to keep the energy flowing — ‘like a car battery at a stop light’, he says.

We clearly have more to learn on the subject. But as it happens we may have help. Our own star is beginning a new cycle of solar activity.

Under ‘normal’ solar conditions, the earth is surrounded by a fluctuating ‘coil’ of energy –an electromagnetic blanket holding all planetary systems stable– with geomagnetism humming like a top. But activity on the sun’s surface also fluctuates, sunspots come and ago and solar flares can interrupt this peaceful flow. The sun has just completed an 11-year ‘minimum’ cycle of fewer-than-normal sunspots. We have entered the runup to solar maximum expected in 2012, during which increased, even dramatic solar activity can occur.

An analogy that’s easy to comprehend is our Arctic and Antarctic geomagnetic activity that manifests as Aurora Borealis or Australis. These magnificent spectacles make themselves visible whenever solar flares –coronal mass ejections (CMEs) borne on the solar wind– penetrate the Earth’s geomagnetic shield. The journey from Sun to Earth usually takes 3-4 days and when they reach the poles their interaction with the geomagnetic field creates glorious nighttime light shows.

Aurorae are only some of the side effects of solar activity. Some CMEs are strong enough to disrupt communications systems and close down electronic and electromagnetic operations, traffic lights, power generators and the like. We may have to get used to them, as their frequency is increasing.

In crop circle parlance it’s no longer unusual to hear of anomalous ultrasound, hovering light orbs or to find crop stems sculpted by a massive heat source. Visitors use them as spontaneous temples, lighting candles and whispering prayers. We are beginning to see technology greater than our own at work, manifesting in beautiful form in the corn, to capture our imagination, captivate our senses, alter our perception. And crop formations are, without exception, manifesting around nodes of earth’s magnetic energy, just as ancient sacred sites did.

Sound and light were used by the Ancients to generate awe, devotion and bring healing; to transport followers into a state of acceptance, belief and oneness with a higher power. Are we too entrenched in our fossil-fuel mentality, our agenda of skepticism, to see doors opening to reveal another world? a world where higher dimensional reality beckons and offers us a helping hand?

Equinox is only days away. The leaves are turning. A storm is brewing. The Earth prepares as the hinges on the door of another season swing shut. This doorway to autumn in the northern hemisphere is heralded by a whole slew of heavenly bodies lined up and waiting to shepherd us through. After all, as one door swings shut, another opens and we have little more than 800 days to go before the Calendar of the Ancients — embodied in the Tzolkin Long Count of the Maya — says we reach Transfiguration.

Is it possible, we ask, to create our own Apotheosis? are we capable of reaching out from the depths of the mire in which we have entrenched ourselves on Earth to hold hands with the Divine? become gods ourselves? All the prophesies say yes. We are told to watch the heavens for signs. So, watchers we have become.

There have been warnings: a couple of planetary tight corners — 2010’s T-squares and Full Moon in June’s Grand Cross — squeezing our world and our communal psyche into a place of no retreat.

But if you thought you were just going to puddle along over the next couple of months, couple of years, and it would all fall into place? That ‘somebody else’ had it in hand and we’d muddle through somehow? Then, there’s more thinking to be done.

Some people still question why we should even listen at all to the voice of the Ancestors: those revered traditions handed down over millennia on all continents through civilization’s records and archives and oral tradition. What did they know of 21st century life? How could they possibly help us rise from a world of racial, religious, financial and nutritional inequality — not to mention bombardment by media-manipulated fears — and become one tight-knit community, one homogeneous being? These are high concepts; tough hurdles for humankind to leap.

It’s probably for that reason that the ancestors have been hanging around lately, giving us a little more immediate help and encouragement, sending us little signs… like those in summer fields of shining corn.

All ancient wisdom declares we are not alone; that we have only to ask for help and it will come. There must have been a lot of people asking lately, because the messages have been coming in thicker and faster! 2010 season’s crop circles have proved to be our most challenging yet.

They brought us dimensions beyond those we’re accustomed to thinking in, sacred geometry and energy vortices and power places known to all previous civilizations, but somehow ‘lost’ to our own; magical light orbs and mysterious high-pitched sound accompanying the formation of a circle or even group meditative ‘requests’ for such a crop appearance. 2010 has consolidated and convinced a far-reaching cult of believers who now no longer care to look back at the world we left only yesterday.

2010 has also created — outside the crop circle sphere — a coming-together of Earth-loving communities all round the world. No longer do the meek hover unheard while business corporations haggle over responsibility for destruction. The Gulf of Mexico event took care of that. Depleting earth’s precious species and resources is neither politically correct nor tolerated. Even the Rich List themselves have taken to the waters to redress the balance.

There is indeed an awakening of the world mind — a tangible creative move to choose life over death, kindness over greed, healing over repression, and compassion over power. We just have to look carefully to find it: not on smog-ridden highways or in high-rise metal offices perhaps, but in the miraculous and ever-evolving daily life of small villages, volunteer children’s creches and around organic farmers’ market stalls.

A flawed piece of legislation initiated during the Bush administration allowing Northern Rockies (endangered) wolves to be slaughtered wholesale, has recently been revoked, restoring the American Gray Wolf to protected status. Mother Earth is starting to smile again.

Longcount dates in 2011 and 2012

Like Kiesha Crowther, Barbara Hand Clow is a shaman, gifted teacher of the intuitive arts, an Elder of the Maya, Cherokee Record Keeper, and she shares wisdom from a wide range of researchers and Medicine People. Like one of her mentors, Swedish biologist Carl Johan Calleman, she sees the Great Underworlds of the Tzolkin calculus as a means to understanding human evolution — towards our ultimate reconnection through our intuitive senses with the Divine. Evolution rapidly nears its zenith: ascension/transcendance at our final gate. As each Age is ten times briefer than its predecessor, time appears to speed up, learning accelerates, human beings evolve at an unprecedented rate. Both she and Calleman place enormous importance on the August 1987 Harmonic Convergence whose spectacular planetary alignments presaged the final 25 years of the Tzolkin Count. We entered the Sixth Night of the Galactic Wave Cycle on 09/09/09 and will emerge from it on November 2nd this year.

Extreme pressure for deep change came to the surface during the cardinal T-squares of the major planets in June and August and a final flurry of this configuration commands human attention now, as we near Autumn Equinox. While the pressure may be easing, it’s not over yet. We are about to experience the final throes of the technological age of the Galactic Underworld when Day Seven opens November 2nd 2010 —Yellow Galactic Seed — and it becomes apparent that nothing will stop the rollercoaster of change now spinning ordinary life out of control. Fall Equinox requires our trust and belief that there is cosmic Design behind such change.

Clow borrows Calleman’s elaborate reconstruction of the intricate Mayan calendar to discern an interweaving of patterns, frequencies, tones that build upon themselves like a fractal symphonic chord which reaches crescendo in 2011/2012.

She suggests that time acceleration is occurring and that we have already begun to feel a quickening of the energy around us.

‘You’ve been recreating yourself since 1999 when the Galactic Underworld opened,’ she says, ‘and now you are ready to become a Cosmic Being on Earth.’

Both believe we shall reach this ultimate goal in consciousness a year early — on October 28th 2011, to be exact. That’s only 405 days from now.

Heavenly bodies are appearing in our skies which seem to confirm the ancient prediction of nine ‘appearances’ or energies which accompany the End Times. The first of these — the dramatic return of sacred serpent god Quetzalcoatl — happened at the final moment of ceremony as 40,000 people welcomed spring equinox 1989 at Chichen Itza. At the exact instant of sunset and full moonrise, asteroid 1989-A zoomed over the crowd and plunged into the ocean off the Yucatan peninsula. Astronomers were unprepared for the happening, but the Maya were not!

Now we begin to see further signs — the light spiral over Tromsø, Norway last December during the Obama Nobel Peace Prize presentation may be another. The heavens have their own way of sigaling changes in energy, influence and human events.

Immanuel Velikovsky, in his posthumously published (1982) book Mankind in Amnesia, wrote that mankind has suppressed memories of cosmic catastrophes, Noah’s flood, possibly even the extinction of the dinosaurs: essentially we were wounded in our separation from Source. And until we clear our ‘injury’ and heal ourselves, we are doomed to play out with wars, genocides and mass murders much like a mental patient plays out suppressed rape or abuse trauma with anti-social behavior.

Calleman believes western concept of time cannot accommodate the phenomenon of evolution or creation. That our linear (Gregorian) view sees time as an endless repetition of cycles with no beginning and no end. With such limited perspective, humanity seems not to be going anywhere, life has little purpose. He sees the consequences of such an attitude in the environmental rape of our planet. The Tzolkin itself is a pattern for the unfolding of creative energy rather than a numerical calendar.

‘I believe through study and use of the Tun-based calendrical system [of the Maya] we may develop an awareness of consciousness, a meta-consciousness, which will allow us to understand factors underlying the evolution of our spiritual process and evolution of the universe.’

Kiesha Crowther believes Enlightenment comes as we express love in word and deed; rejoin in oneness with Nature. And to evolve to the next level, our species must reach enlightenment. Calleman, Clow and Crowther all agree it is time to end our separation from Nature.

Chart for Equinox

This is the chart for NOW. In five days, at midnight on equinox (September 22/23, 2010), the Sun will stand at the top of the chart at cusp Virgo/0ºLibra with the full Moon moving to stand directly opposite at 0ºAries: Grand Cross elements resurface

The fall equinox chart is potent with symbolism. First, and most powerful, the 0º00 Libra Sun squares Pluto in Capricorn at 0º41. A Sun-Pluto square packs punch. The full moon phase at this dying of the year — our climaxes and harvest — with Pluto in the mix — gives potential for destruction, disintegration, elimination on the world stage. While Pluto’s destructive power is for good — symbolic death leading to rebirth — this destruction opens the door to regeneration and transformation. Power play between patriarchal rule (Pluto in Capricorn) and the people, and between masculine and feminine archetypes everywhere will be noticeable.

This is powerful stuff. We reap what we sow, so anything sown that smells of corruption, power/over, power/under dynamics can and will come to light in this cycle!

A significant aspect in the chart is Mercury conjunct Saturn in Virgo — only 33 minutes apart. Actual conjunction occurs earlier that day at 2:08am, so at equinoctial point it is very potent. Mercury symbolizes the conscious mind and has just moved from retrograde (where action is internal, introverted and intuitive) to direct. In Virgo, one of the two signs Mercury rules, his review process covers the territory of self-mastery, service, and mind/body connection.

And because Saturn and Mercury are conjunct, Father Time, Lord of Karma and the celestial messenger act to bring into our consciousness all the tools we need to solidify, restructure, ground us and birth this new awareness into reality. Pluto also turned direct on September 13th. Its influence now has great strength.

This Full Moon in Aries with Sun in last degree of Virgo signals the beginning of the final phase of our emergence into Nature. With Neptune holding us in divine embrace in Aquarius, this lunation is the seed that plants us as vessels of cosmic light, in a spiritual alchemy.

This alchemical seed bears wild fruit during the Aries Full Moon on September 23, a few hours after the moment of Equinox, when the Full Moon stands conjunct Jupiter and Uranus in Aries opposite the Sun and Saturn in Libra, while T-squaring Pluto in Capricorn! The Full Moon actually detonates the T-square. These aspects will germinate our species into the Cosmos. Pluto is powerful and the god of the Underworld will, in the words of astrologer Robert Wilkinson show us how to use the polarities of Will and Love, Mind and Heart, in an alternating manner to achieve a form of mastery.

‘If we can confront what needs to be uncaged, we can find an enormous power and wisdom which our inner Elder can teach our inner Child.’

Shaman Kiesha Crowther in her own beautiful Nature-connected way — while accepting that the end of the Mayan Calendar looms — agrees that it’s more about each person moving back into proportional relationship with Nature and our role as EarthKeepers.

‘Specifically, how do the people of Mother Earth join together their hearts and minds to create a change?

‘The answer lies with each and every one of us doing our part, with our own hearts, moving forward as individuals in our own abilities — to grow our hearts larger and love and live with kindness and consciousness.

‘When we live from our hearts our consciousness grows and we become the true loving beings we are meant to be.

‘We all have an ability to share our love with others and to gather our friends and family together to meditate, to pray, to learn how to run energy, how to listen and feel what Mother Earth is saying and feeling.

Little Grandmother‘s message is one of love and enlightenment and a belief that we can all do this together. There are no structures to set up, no teachers guiding others, no hierarchy. The Tribe of Many Colors is not an organization. Rather it embodies a group of people with a single goal: to live from the heart and to love our Mother Earth and each other. Her Tribe of Many Colors can change the world.

In the summer of 2010 Kiesha Crowther visited Scandinavia where she embedded a special crystal to anchor earth’s electromagnetic grid. She and the Elders have been re-energizing the Earth Grid by placing crystals at strategic Power points where Earth’s electromagnetic energy focuses.

‘The Tribe of Many Colors has been prophesied to come for a very long time and now the time is upon us. All we need to do is to go to Nature, to the Source, and fill ourselves up with that tremendous love that is out there for us, just as we are. It does not matter if you are ever recognized by the world for what you are doing—you are a divine spark, the Great I AM, here to kindle your light, recognize the brilliance that you are, just as you are.’

Inkeeping with this sentiment, but within a complex array of symbolism that unites light, sound, the Golden Mean spiral and quantum physics, Clow explains in her Alchemy of the Nine Dimensions (2004) the phenomenon we call crop circles is advancing in complexity as we as a species advance. She calls the energy — ‘great tubes of light’ — which creates formations ‘benign’, but one which keeps us on our toes, keeps us learning, stays always just one step ahead of us.

‘Since the same geometry can easily be seen in shells and in skeletons, no one should be surprised. The visibility of these tubes of light and the numerous spirals in crop circles are analogs to the visibility of spirals in nature. Materialization occurs by the spin or motion of spirals, and the crop circles are material things. Once the great force is drawn down to Earth, tubes of light imprint a crop circle where it enters a plane — the field crop — where 2D interfaces with the curvature of the surface. The actual circle is made in seconds. Scientists are penetrating the deeper mysteries of the Golden Mean these days, as the Circlemakers are constructing ever-more complex expressions of it.’

One might ask, since so much emphasis is placed on End Times fixed by the Tzolkin calendar, why are crop circles not appearing in Mexico?

Clow answers that, too. Shockingly, she says ‘the central vortex of patriarchal ignorance is located in England, while the Mexican people already know what is coming.’

On a geomantic level, Wessex — that great chalk aquifer of Salisbury Plain — is one of the largest on earth. It has a very low magnetic field and is therefore the world’s best conductor of electricity. In an electromagnetic dimension, it was ideal for constructing stone circles (whose great neolithic rock-crystals still stand embedded in the earth) and it is therefore perfect for weaving electrical current in waves of grain.

We are being fine-tuned for our return to Source. And the Ancestors are shouting encouragement from the grandstand. Perhaps it’s time to speed up the activation process ourselves: to tune ourselves in to the Great Spirit with conscious intent. Imagine that on the armrests where your hands are placed are metallic finger plates for each digit of each hand. Lay your fingertips gently on the activation plates.

Resume position. You feel these plates are magnetised to energy points within your fingers and at the back of your neck. You can feel the tingling. As you watch, you see we are adding plates down through the back of the chair, aligning with your chakras. Yet you only see four, evenly spaced. This is correct.

You are being activated. You are tuning into the power of the Cosmos.

Jumping Dimensions: Crop Circle PHI-losophy 101

PHI, the Golden Mean seen as the Divine fractal or self-generating spiral of beauty

Since there no longer exist in this four-dimensional structure [space-time] any sections which represent ‘now’ objectively, the concepts of happening and becoming are not completely suspended, but complicated. It appears, therefore, more natural to think of physical reality as a four-dimensional existence, rather than, as hitherto, the evolution of a three dimensional one.

We think we understand dimensions. One – two – three, the above quote notwithstanding, we know our world: a pencil drawing, line on paper, are one and two. The paper itself makes it three and we’re drawing it NOW in this moment, so that makes it four. Four — the dimension of time, Einstein’s E=mc2— is where our everyday understanding of physics of our real world brings us in line with today’s brightest minds. Beyond that, our braincells need a little boost, an injection of fantasy, imagination, a mental grasshopper leap. That’s where we’re fortunate, because we’re getting a ‘little help from our friends’.

When the crop circle community stood poised, balancing on ballet points for what might materialize from those higher dimensions on the eight-gate, 8/8, our friends in high places sent us four! One at Spilsby Lincolnshire, a magnificent 500-footer at Pewsey White Horse, and a little honey, a miniscule delight in the form of a fractal at Honey Street, Wiltshire.

The miniature (150-foot diameter) Honey Street design seemed like another warning that the sun was playing up — its fractal lying in yin-yang position did look remarkably like a solar flare which sent a coronal mass ejection (CME) earthwards the previous day, (SpaceWeather). But, for good measure, in case we didn’t get the message, a second mini-circle appeared simultaneously at Stanton St Bernard #2 which looks remarkably like a flaring sun, complete with solar prominence burst. Meanwhile, the irate farm manager at Pewsey White Horse, having warned visitors previously in the season that ‘trespassing’ would be dealt with severely, cut the massive formation out by noon the same day (YouTube video below). But the honey at Honey Street (Stanton St. Bernard #1) remains; is gorgeous, and while expressing multiple ideas, is a delightful feast for the eye. Brain food? Nothing too taxing (unlike the M4 coded images, further below); just a whimsical fairytale fractal (couched in CME format with wave-bending crescent) in a golden harvest field.

While over the previous fortnight earth’s deepest thinkers were pondering math ratios, alien language code and making themselves sick thinking life had sent them lemons, the Universe made us lemonade!

I feel compassion for some of the serious ponderers in Croppiedom. This season has not been easy for them. 2010 not only manifested mysticism, mathematics and dimensional momentum; it brought masses of ‘plankers‘ out of the woodwork. In conjunction with and as substitutes for what they like to call ‘anomalous’ crop circles (those formed in intense heat with ultrasound and cereal nodes bent by light, leaving vestiges of ‘angel hair’ — a pure silicon-hydrogen hallmark of UFOs aka white powder gold), the summer fields have been invaded by human designers, albeit talented, but mixing up the metaphor for us naïve believers in Ascension as a theme and confusing visitors flocking to the fields to find nirvana.

It may be this confusion which affected the Pewsey farm manager. It’s understandable: if he thinks — to quote my funny friend Fitzy — that ‘last night 100 students, studying macrame, snuck into a field and wove …leaving no evidence of their presence…’ and that they were just messing up his life for kicks, or for an art project, it’s not difficult to see why he accosted visitors and sent threatening messages, describing the work as ‘vandalism‘.

But if he were to see his cut crop as light-enhanced, with added silicon nutrients incorporated in the grain which have health-giving properties, growth-rate boosts (and might fetch more on the market), then he might change his tune. But that supposition for another year, now. The formation has been cut.

'Anomalous' formation on top of Whitefield Hill, Woodsend, Wiltshire August 3rd showed vestiges of 'angel hair'

Not before it was thoroughly documented, though, with superb aerial photography by Matthew Williams and Pierre Beake, and while only a few pedesterians got a close-up of this 500-foot spectacle, its dimensions and message will be studied in depth long after its vestigial imprint has gone. It’s interesting to speculate that its purity of design and impact on spectators may indicate that it, too, was an ‘anomalous’ creation similar to the ‘egg-slicer’ formation of August 3rd on top of Whitefield Hill, Woodsend next to the radio transmitter. Whitefield showed evidence of light-induced elongated stalk nodes on atypical straight stems in the flattened crop, along with a residue of angel hair or ‘white powder gold’. Gerald Hawkins, great decoder of Stonehenge and subsequent devoté of sacred geometry and diatonic musical ratios (Egyptian ‘frozen music’), wrote before he died in 2003:

If crop circles are made by hoaxers, then they should stop doing it, because they are breaking the law and damaging the food supply. If they are made by UFO aliens, they shouldn’t give us the dates of our trips to Mars and names of men from the Titanic era – famous, clever, but now forgotten. If some are transcendental, the power behind it should realize that our culture is now willing to accept transcendental happenings. If they are indeed transcendental, then society will have to make a big adjustment in the years ahead.

Through a language that’s possible for most of us to understand the crop circles, with apparent ease, carry trains of thought over thousands of years that are both transformative and liberating. The Egyptian/Sumerian priesthood did it — spared no effort in using every available surface to proclaim the existence of another dimension (their ‘after’- or future- life), so the people might understand. Now, millennia later, we so-called evolved mortals are being given similar instruction — a picture language with recurring specific symbols — from our ‘priesthood of light’, our own consciousness from a higher dimension. It is no coincidence that the Horton Friday-the-13th finale of the 2010 Wiltshire season has blatant Egyptian symbolism.

We are being shown a series of objects which exist in a higher dimension, so that our vision and perception may become clearer. Each summer, via an ephemeral canvas of wheat, barley and maize, we’re being taught telepathically: and each year-end we’ve learned more than we knew before. Light orbs (clearly from a dimension we haven’t yet got the hang of) are now so frequently witnessed, documented, and (almost) accepted as a tool of the Circlemakers, that we are having to concede our prosaic 3/4-dimensional world is a little out of date. The sensation of bliss experienced by many within light-orb-inscribed formations is not imaginary. Human bonding, spontaneous group meditations and effortless harmony with others seem to occur naturally within these creations. The Circlemakers are professors not only of beauty and precision, but sacred geometry, history, mathematics, arcane tradition and philosophy, spiritual discipline, bliss and joy!

Dan Winter, author of Phi Physics in a Nutshell, says

DNA is the seed crystal of the higher dimensional Lightbody
DNA, a perfect Phi-structured crystal connecting long waves and short waves, is a three-dimensional pattern designed to transmit information, in the form of a living being, through time and space, the fourth dimension. Its goal seems to be to create a fifth-dimensional intelligence, one capable of phase-locking with the information of the Universe stored in its crystaline coding within its DNA geometry.

Geometry is the basic creation of symmetry, says Winter. This is where the Phi-wave or the perfect spiral, Golden Mean fractal, Nature’s perfect natural growth pattern, comes in. ‘Any symmetrical structure creates a place where meeting waves, those traveling in opposite directions, can stand, that is, can phase and phase-lock.’ Standing waves give the illusion of solidity, which is the ‘segregation of momentum that makes possible the birth of matter.’

He explains why the Golden Mean spiral is Nature’s ideal ‘nest’ for converging waves:

‘In the world of waves, only the donut, (the torus or vortex), and the golden mean spiral can become coherent — hold their shape — like a smoke ring. As more of these smoke rings are created and they want to relate to the first smoke ring, they must ‘nest’ in the right pattern so that they can remember their form and still share structure. The best pathway for doing this is the ratio we call the golden mean. Only in this shape can waves nest together without interfering with each other and cancelling out their memories.’

A Phi spiral can nest triangles, squares and five-sided figures (pentagons), creating a dodecahedron as it goes. The dodecahedron (12-sided shape) is the perfect Golden Mean nest for turning information/waves into coherent structure. ‘That’s why it’s also the pattern of the braided DNA molecule,’ Winter concludes.

So our DNA, constantly evolving and upgrading through an enhancing light spectrum — with the help of sunlight and electromagnetic energy from the higher dimension — is lifting our four-dimensional world bodily towards the fifth: dimension of our lightbody.

Countless crop circles over the years have depicted the fractal. Perhaps most famous of all was the ‘Julia Set’ Stonehenge formation of July 7, 1996 whose pristine curve appeared in broad daylight at teatime after torrential rain the previous night. Its ‘comforting’ shape to mathematicians represents a complex computer-generated fractal image; to musicians the bass clef, and to marine biologists the cross-section of a nautilus shell.

Matter is just a lot of energy moving so slowly that we can touch it and sit on it. Energy is just a little bit of matter moving so fast we have trouble finding it: simply put, they’re polarities of the same substance, which is flowing and moving at different rates constantly through the Universe.

But there’s an even bigger idea for this 101 dissertation in our Dimensional PHI-losophy class:

Perfect symmetrical geometric shapes contain, ‘nest’ or embody energy. So, by focusing our ‘intent’, (heightened with love, desire, feeling, emotion, belief and will) we can make things happen — ‘create matter’. That’s why New Age philosophy, esoteric disciplines and native American ancestral wisdom describe us as the ‘Creator’.

There’s one aspect we still don’t quite understand, but it’s worth keeping all the balls in the air.

The connection to sound — ultrasound, music in any form as inspiration and its creative ability as a ‘wave-particle’ — cannot be overlooked. Gerald Hawkins was fascinated by the diatonic scale — another fractal, or ‘perfect’ progression of the familiar octave on the piano, bassoon, saxophone, guitar. Notably he and Paul Vigay corresponded on its unique function in crop circles before both died. They found not only that crop circle images converted into sound through special computer software produced meditation-inducing alpha waves; but that the reverse hypothesis was true — that ultrasound is a factor in producing images in the corn.

Earlier this season we were gifted another stunning coded triangular motif in the Vale of Pewsey on Solstice, which turned out to be an ASCII rendition of 1.61803399, the golden ratio = ϕ Phi. It is clearly a formula close to ET’s heart! I still believe that it, like the coded canola musical box disc in the May 22nd Wilton formation, if played through Vigay’s software, would produce sound in the alpha range. We shall have to wait for Paul’s lightbody to arise and return.

Meanwhile a great deal of speculation surrounded the double appearance on either side of the M4 motorway at exit 14 to Hungerford on July 30th. Decoding the dual image has so far proved inconclusive, but when combined, the formations revealed a face overlaid on 16 lines or ‘strings’. Musicians, Lotus Ocean are overjoyed that their guitarist/avatar PT’s face appeared embedded in twin pixels flanking the M4, his daily route to play ritual music in crop circles. Their idea is not totally far-fetched. There are 16 petals in the divine lotus — a symbol of Ascension — and music, specifically ultrasound, has been found to produce waves of rapture in electromagnetic forms by Vigay, Hawkins and others (humans and wheatfields being similarly influenced by alpha waves). PT (Prashant Trivedi) is a string musician deeply entrenched in Vedic ritual and symbolism. Following his ritual AUM (OM) incantation within the ‘Druids cave’ near East Field, Alton Priors in 2007, the massive 2.25-acre OM crop circle of 7/7/7 appeared.

Sound is, after all, another form of energy in the electromagnetic stream that we all share in this amazing new world of heightened perception.

Are we willing to go for it: will we pass the exam, graduate from Dimensional PHI-losophy 101?

Our goal is fifth-dimensional awareness, a state already reached by many during meditation. It can be described as our ability to see all space and time, energy and matter, as components of one original wave form. This bliss state can, according to Winter, ‘bend light into a circle of self-awareness’. It creates a rich ultraviolet/blue explosion of energy that accompanies the Merkabah rise of Kundalini, Winter’s phase-lock of biological energies into the flow of the universal information energy stream. This enfolded love-state creates enlightenment, a state where the awareness of the universal mind meets itself at every wave junction.

The more we meditate, project from a state of love, feel gratitude, the closer we come to permanent nirvana.

The 2010 season is building. Last weekend – just before the 2010 May full Moon, as the Sun moved from the earth sign of Taurus into the dualistic but communicative air sign of Gemini – a fourth crop circle manifested in a field of oil seed rape near the windmill at Wilton, Wiltshire. It lies approximately twenty-five miles northeast of the Stonehenge line which attracted three early season glyphs. These three previous imprints in canola formed a triangle on the Stonehenge energy vortex on May 5th, 9th and 16th. towards last weekend’s latest showing. The Wilton Windmill ‘sails’ in the crop circle form twelve interlocking isoceles triangles circling a central point, each triangle containing something that looks like ASCII – binary – computer code. Within the sails there are two sets of repeating code sections but the other ten are different. It measures 300 feet across. Another triangle meantime manifested on May 14th in an oil seed rape field in Zierenberg, Hessen, Germany.

Triangle symbolism denotes many ideas simultaneously:

In astrology an upright triangle represents the most positive of the aspects, a trine, or the angle of 120 degrees between planets, but it is also used to represent the astrological element of Fire, and as astrological signs are arranged in four triplicities — fire, air, earth, water — it represents the Fire signs. [Conversely, in astrological symbology, a triangle with a lower line drawn through horizontally, denotes the Air signs].

While the triangle does not appear much in prehistoric symbolism (when the circle, feminine womb symbol, predominated), it does feature in biblical history and in Judaeo-Christian symbolic word-construction where it became associated with the Divine number THREE. It is an older symbol than the medieval swastika or pentagram (based themselves on numbers four and five. Xenocrate, who died in 324 BC, stated that the (three-sided) equilateral triangle was a symbol for God. In Christian symbolism it stands for the Holy Trinity.

In modern thought, it is a symbol of dualism: a ‘caution’ triangle on a road sign may simultaneously denote (for the motorist) an upcoming pedestrian crossing — therefore a warning; while for the approaching pedestrian the triangle signifies it is ‘safe’ to cross. In road etiquette, a single red triangle (either in wooden painted joinery form or as a red-colored sign) placed on a road verge or a blind corner will slow the auto driver down because he doesn’t know what is ahead.

It has an amazing repertoire of significance in more recent history: from botany to air traffic control.

In cartography a clear triangle stands for natural gas while a darkened triangle means oil well. Mapmakers at this very moment have a lot of dark triangles scattered across maps of the Gulf of Mexico.

In plant and horticultural terms an upright (apex at top) triangle denotes an evergreen perennial. In meteorology it means hail is forecast. Physicists use the triangle symbol to mean ‘lowering freezing point’ or ‘lowering temperature’, while chemists (and alchemists) use it for the opposite: a triangle suggests that temperature is rising. As a convention among flyers, in ground-to-air emergency code it implies ‘safe to land here‘.

To help understand the phenomenon, we make a gentle nod of appreciation to turn-of-the-century ‘traveling people’. Europeans call them Gypsies, using a perfectly politically-correct description of an eastern European people who made their home on the Road.

Gypsy symbology was for hundreds of years a carefully-guarded secret. Where a host had been hospitable, offered food or sustenance and kindly directions, a Gypsy symbol would be affixed to a gatepost or tree in the lane outside the property as a signal to a fellow traveler that here lived a friend. It worked both ways. In hard times a Gypsy would repay kindness with kindness and a generous host would receive unexpected gifts from the next visitor: a 19th/20th century version of ‘pay-it-forward’. The Wilton 12-segmented circle might be seen as a dandelion ‘clock’, in the world of Gypsy symbolism a sign of ascendance and transformation (yellow petals going inward and reemerging as powder-puff seeds). Messages are not new in the Kornkreise. One of the first to be deciphered was the Chilbolton radio telescope formation which appeared in the summer of 2001. Its message was clearly an answer to the radio telescope transmission sent in 1974 by Dr. Carl Sagan and his team of astronomers based at Cornell, New York, Cambridge, Mass, but transmitted from Puerto Rico’s telescope at Arecibo. The ‘reply’ caused a stir. Carl Sagan was sadly no longer around to appreciate it. His team were interested in the similarities expressed in the crop message and their original transmission. It was the differences, however, which fascinated: it was a clear attempt to express a communication from an entity which does not have human proportions. Messages then followed thick and fast. In the next year, only eight miles south of Chilbolton at Crabwood Farm near Winchester, the ‘Alien face’ appeared accompanied by its ASCII (binary) message: interpreters used a similar method to the Chilbolton design: seeing the crop folds and standing tufts as ‘pixels’. Substitute a 1 for standing crop, 0 for flattened sections; dividers between words were smaller tufts. An anonymous crop circle computer wiz volunteered a binary translation shortly after its appearance. His work was doublechecked by Paul Vigay – then still alive and at the time working on cymatics – sonic and musical form expressed as a visual. He agreed with the decoding: The message said:

Beware the bearers of FALSE gifts and their BROKEN PROMISES. Much PAIN but still time. (damaged word). There is GOOD out there. We OPpose DECEPTION. conduit closing (bell sound)

There are still a lot of messages out there we haven’t yet succeeded in interpreting. The great tail of the swallow of Alton Barnes formed in June 2009 comes to mind. As does the magnificent third phase of code added to its neighboring triple-formed ‘astrolabe’ below Milk Hill Alton Barnes over solstice week 2009 — astrolabe ‘pendulum’ forming first, then orbiting planets, then 1000-foot trailing code.

Do you think we are being treated to signage from the stars for mere entertainment? Or is this season working on our DNA in cumulative fashion?

In the absence of Carl Sagan, Paul Vigay and Gerald Hawkins, we are floundering in ASCII code but in muddied waters, unable to decipher either musical notation, sacred geometry or intervals in a sonic scale in crop circle symbology (on which Vigay and Hawkins corresponded before their deaths). However, Joseph Mason who works with dream analogy, linking sacred geometry, symbolism and intuitive messages, may be able to help. He says:

In a dream I was told “The experiment that would transform your world would operate upon the basic idea that you create your own reality according to the nature of your beliefs, and that all existence is blessed, and that evil does not exist in it. If these ideas were followed individually and collectively, then the evidence of your physical senses would find no contradiction. They would perceive the world and existence as good.”

Within the last week, molecular biologist Dr Craig Venter and his team of US scientists in Maryland and California developed synthetic ‘genetic software’ (DNA) for a bacterium and transplanted it into a host cell. The DNA responded exactly as it had been ‘programmed’ to do.

Russian molecular biologists have found it possible to communicate with DNA through voice-modulated laser light. With voice-modulated laser light it is possible to transpose genetic information from one genome to another without the need for transplanting and splicing chemical genes. The Russian researchers spoke to DNA finding their voice modulation and tone achieved the effect of a frequency which resonated with the DNA. They discovered that at a fundamental level the DNA follows the modulated voice tones of mankind, or, put spiritually: DNA is capable of responding to the WORD.

Joy will return and in a way which will fill the hearts of all mankind. You will come through a tremendous struggle into the age of conscious awareness of the oneness of the ALL.

This groundbreaking thought is reminiscent of a protolanguage which Robert Boerman used to interpret the Milk Hill inscription in 1991. Using voice modulated laser light it is possible to change DNA, and as it is known that DNA of the plant (rape, barley, wheat) is modified when crop circles are created, it appears that the energy that forms crop circles is in the nature of this voice-modulated laser light (crop circle formation is sometimes corroborated by eyewitness accounts of anomalous luminous phenomena).

Judy Beebe says:

“There is a language which is used to communicate intergalactically and from spirit to spirit. This is the Language of Light, a language of symbols. Symbols are played through our bodies and the understanding then delivers a dialogue. This is what the crop circles have been trying to convey to an awakening world. The reason these symbols must be played through our bodies is that we have within us the truth of the macrocosm.”

Native American shaman Nippawanock of the Arapahoe says:

‘Prophecy is underway — as earth changes unfold, the Sacred Symbols will be newly understood.’

In the last week the Sun, long past its forecast trough of an 11-year minimum sunspot cycle, started to stir again. As we know, when sunspots start happening once more, the electromagnetic field reenergizes and we feel the effects on Earth. This latest surge comes from a huge coronal hole in the sun’s earth-facing disk.

The image is a composite of three extreme ultraviolet wavelengths: 211 Å (false-color red) 193 Å (green) and 171 Å (blue), each tracing a different gas temperature ranging from 1 to more than 2 million degrees K. Highlights of today’s sun include an enormous magnetic filament, a coronal hole.

In our past experience, a coronal mass ejection (CME) precipitates a flurry of electromagnetic activity on earth, including increased crop circle appearances.

The code in the Wilton windmill ‘sails’ looks a little like binary code but it reminds me more of either a computer disk image or, even older, the workings of a Swiss music box. I remember listening to a Victorian pianola in a resort hotel as a child. Its workings fascinated me. By inserting a large metal disk precision cut with a specific series of holes, slurs, slits and bumps, it operated like the miniature musical box but on ‘carnie’ carnival scale. The pianola took up a whole corner of the room. Like a jukebox it blared out its music hall rhythm the minute the ‘reading’ needle hit the disk. I seem to remember the music played a lot longer than current pop three-minute renditions… but memory sometimes tricks. The Wilton windmill formation looks a lot like a pianola disk, 300 feet across!

So, is cymatics once more being suggested to us? the interchangeability of sound played as a visual? I shall be the first to congratulate the decipherer of the Wilton windmill ‘disk’. It is begging to tell us its message.

One pleasant thought to keep us thinking positively through what lies ahead: by the time the main bulk of crop circles appears in June and July, we shall have amassed a superb body of new designs, coded messages and even be in a position to interpret some of them. We may by then have grasped a lot more of the symbolism being presented to us and will be better prepared for creative and constructive action. We are, after all, creating our own reality.

Another thought: when we are happy, we sing, we hum, we make a happy sound. Perhaps the formation wants us to do that. What miracles might we create if we collectively sang in harmony?

When it is within our imagination to conceive the impossible, everything becomes possible.

Crop Circle Season: an early bird?

Weeks before swallows return, we may see an early start to crop circle season

I believe the 2010 Crop Circle Season is imminent. I don’t mean this July. Much sooner. Possibly even next week.

I made a few notes on dates previous seasons began – even after atrocious winters – thinking I had at least another week before I needed to post this, another week of research and doublechecking the facts. But, in going over it again, I realize Crop Circle Consciousness is upping the ante.

A decade ago the first crop designs in Wiltshire and Hampshire appeared when barley and wheat were beginning to show signs of ripening at the end of May and the first week of June. Similarly, in the early years of the 1990s’ decade, seasons began May-June. But as the decade got older, consciousness quickened and seasonal appearances started happening earlier. By the last year of the ‘nineties, 1999, the first crop circle appeared in Over Wallop Hampshire on April 3rd! In the early ‘noughties, up to and including 2006, the season didn’t begin until well into May or even June (2003-2004) in ripening barley and wheat. Then, bang, as if the last years of the decade again brought anticipation and focused interest on the phenomenon, the season started earlier: 2007: April 15th at Oliver’s Castle, Wiltshire; 2008: April 20th Waden Hill, Avebury. Last year, the first crop circle appeared in oil seed rape – not yet in flower – on April 14th at the Ridgeway.

April 14th is less than a week away. And there are already a number of fields planted in oil seed rape (canola) in Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire.

This year April 14th is also Vedic New Year: Vikridhi; the name itself occurs only once in 60 years. A week later, it’s Earth Day (Arbor Day), a northern hemisphere date chosen to celebrate the birth of naturalist John Muir, but more recently absorbed into the Earth-First culture of organic growers, tree-lovers and tree-huggers everywhere and, naturally by analogy, those who celebrate the earth’s crowning glory in crop form: the Croppies.

We all know the crop circle phenomenon has been getting more notice of late: worldwide attention, in fact. On the internet alone, it features in websites as diverse as ρѕу¢нє∂єℓι¢ α∂νєитυяє run by supreme techwiz ‘CO’, to the photographic marvels of Karen and Steve Alexander to the ultimate in documentary archives, the Dutch-run multi-lingual Crop Circle Archive which seems to have catalogued every crop pattern in every country since the beginning of Creation!

Then there are the more philosophical and ‘mystery school’ sites like Freddy Silva’s Crop Circle Secrets, Krsanna Duran’s Timestar and Paul Vigay’s leading-edge research site, Crop Circle Research.

Given that in all self-realized culture, ‘consciousness equals reality’, we’re speaking about a large slice of humanity who follow such blogs and website updates; a large group of people whose consciousness is willing the new season to begin.

CO runs an international blog, unfunded by donations, a labor of love. He’s very good at what he does, his blog-traffic is astounding (one hit every five seconds) and he has a distinctly Vedic following. The Alexanders, Cropcircleconnector and Lucy Pringle, on the other hand, are a little more conservative, receive handouts with solid Brit, or WASP, backing (Americanese for White Anglo-Saxon Protestant), and have a slightly more ‘English’ approach to the subject. You are encouraged to buy a T-shirt or log on and read a plea for financial support before you can be routed to the goodies. The Dutch archive site offers a diagram catalogue of every crop circle, is volunteer-funded, but its attitude is open and its following represents perhaps half the First World. I like to think of CO’s following in the Indian Subcontinent as the Second World. The Third World is, so far, unrepresented.

So, give or take a few million, let’s say half the world is anticipating the new crop circle season. Not consciously, perhaps, but after a hard winter with only images in one’s mind or on one’s computer to feed off, it is hungry for a new influx. The future is wide open: will it show more mathematical code, more Mandelbrot sets, develop wild sacred geometry, or will it take the form of a Fibonacci spiral’s striking beauty? Or, or. . . will we of human culture stretch our superhuman electromagnetic circuitry and present ourselves with something we’ve never conceived before?

Before he died, Paul Vigay wrote of his amazing work in crop circles. It ranged from simple on-the-ground measuring data and observation of cell-structure change in wheat, through correspondence with Gerald Hawkins on sacred geometric design, through illuminating discoveries in ultrasound. His work with Hawkins led to a previously obscure relationship between sacred geometry and intervals on the music scale noticed by the ancient Egyptians: something they likened to ‘frozen music’. It seemed to him a natural progression that he should later make recordings of pixel images of crop circles played through a computer program which converted pixels to sound, and discovered that the resulting music had a quality conducive to meditation, relaxation and deep contentment: essentially sounds in the ‘alpha wave’ band. He said:

Inspired by the work of Gerald Hawkins and our conversations on musical theory, I felt there was an important link between music and crop circles. Combining the two, I developed some computer software that could convert crop circle images into musical notes to see what ‘tunes’ were composed by them.

He recorded several soundtracks from different crop formations which can be downloaded from his website – maintained lovingly since his death. It did not surprise him that others ‘heard’ music while walking or kneeling or sitting inside crop circles which had been recently formed.

There are also a number of ‘coded’ messages which have been received and transliterated over the years. The Chilbolton radio telescope message is only one of many. I would recommend for code-lovers the lengthy study made by Robert Boerman in 2001 after an attempt to communicate with the circle-makers elicited a ‘reply’. This early documentary evidence was one of Hawkins’ favorites and its interpretations are fully discussed on the Dutch Crop Circle Archive.

I mentioned the chaos theory aspect of mathematics represented by the Mandelbrot set. It’s a complicated concept, even for a mathematician, discovered by French-American ‘father of fractal geometry’ Benoît Mandelbrot, aged 85, and still theorizing! Joseph Mason, a student of human consciousness (dream-sequences, results of concentrated intentional motivation), chose to experience learning its potential by his own method of study: concentrating by day, dreaming by night – and noting down his own responses, intuitive actions, human motivation.

As a non-mathematician, he familiarized himself with its complex form in chaos theory which, when projected visually, creates a satisfyingly circular heart-like geometric pattern with frilly edges, called a Mandelbrot Set. He made copious notes as he went along and was not surprised when, nine months after he started the experiment, a Mandelbrot Set design appeared as a crop circle. It convinced him even more firmly that our own consciousness is creating the formations.

The last few seasons of crop designs have made an unprecedented advance in complexity and beauty; our Group Consciousness is indeed making us sit up and observe the Earth with new eyes.

This dear planet we call home is where we are nurtured – particularly in the warm summer months when the Earth showers us with blessings. If only we might allow ourselves a break from thinking ‘poverty consciousness’ (‘running out of oil’) and instead dream up new ways to operate (‘an electric motor run on magnetic particles rather than coils’), within the bounds of her precious resources.

We are the caretakers. If we start taking better care of her, she will provide us with everything. All our needs will be met. We have only to think of miracles for miracles to occur.

We’re already wired for the upgrade. Our DNA has been receiving increasing light boosts since our rendezvous with Galactic Center at midwinter. Consciousness equals reality. We are capable of creating wonders beyond our wildest dreams.

And, what’s more, the new season of crop circles may show us the way…

We did it.   We transitioned through the Gate.  That’s what they say. On 8th August this year – 08-08 – g8-eight – we as a species ascended. Along with our habitat, our flaws and our failings, our flashes of genius, we and our planet ascended into the fifth dimension.

It’s been predicted for centuries.  All major religions have a cosmic beginning, a human middle and a cosmic end. The Maya, for instance, didn’t do things by halves.  They decorated their pantheon with gold and revered their gods for their mathematical skills. They made it into a science: their calculations are vast,  their calendar precise. Not only that, it is beautiful.   Mathematical functions appear as images. Calendrical pictograms ending in the year 2012. 

Human consciousness has been greatly influenced of late by the calendar.

In 1969 a large section of the world’s youth population believed that they were creating a new world.  ‘Silver people on the Shoreline Let Us Be’ are words from the Crosby, Stills and Nash song ‘Wooden Ships’ composed that year. Richard Alpert, West Coast philosopher became guru, Baba Ram Dass. Forty years on, we celebrate this week the anniversary of Woodstock; music from a magical time reenters the sphere of consciousness; there is a nudge from Father Time: Cronos, Saturn, ruler of the universe, for humanity to wake up and get on with it.  Saturn is said to move through each astrological sign once in 30 years.  So, as a species we’re already 10 years past our Saturn Return, overdue for our awakening.  The Earth waits for us to move into our sacred space within the circle of life, switch on our antennae and tune into the music of the spheres: that motherboard we were always intended to reconnect with.

We are after all, the braincells of the planet.  We’ve been genetically modified to function as her intellect: our neurones, our DNA merely need the correct activation sequence. Ten percent of our mind’s circuitry is wired, like a computer, ready for the other 90% to wake up and use our god-given powers.  The trigger seems to be the recent barrage of electrons being showered in our direction.   We are after all energy, a mass of electrons ourselves.  We respond to waves of energy like solar wind, ionic disturbance in the light spectrum and minute fluctuations in the planet’s magnetosphere all the time. Since around May scientists agree cosmic rays, solar flares, light transmissions – said by starseed followers to bring new code to activate human DNA – have increased. Even the scientific community concede DNA has the capacity to expand. We, the central database, are capable of assimilating these charged particles as they arrive, but we have to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed to do it:  we’re meant to be on the alert, awake, aware.  Be Here Now.

For generations ancestral wisdom preached the peaceful life;  joy in simple things. When people used to listen to their elders there was a subconscious equilibrium that kept in balance the environment, their surroundings, their world. But the habitat became too restrictive for the new human; he needed to push the boundaries, to expand, explore beyond his physical arena. In the ‘eighties a large chunk of humanity broke off from the home iceberg and sailed into the sunset.

I mentioned Richard Alpert.  Twenty years previously he, along with a number of his generation, chose to prolong their experience of ephemeral ‘sixties enlightenment and make it a way of life.  As Ram Dass he influenced a generation.  He and his contemporaries are coming to ‘maturity’; they are ‘the ancients’ now.  They are being heard again. Some of the human race, at least, is listening to its elders.

Where does that leave the rest of continental earth? Adrift in a concrete ship, adorned with tentacles of freeways and air lanes, looking for a port of call?

Thing is: they weren’t set adrift without directions, a guidance system.  It is built-in in the system’s consciousness: this is the way home – arrow pointing to nirvana.  Some people in the boat are beginning to swither. How does looking for the moon by means of acquisitions bringing them any closer to home? to inner contentment? is it bringing them joy?  Some of them are turning the ship into the wind, accessing the guidance system, asking the pilot to turn a lighted beacon to the promised shore.  The Jews knew it as the Promised Land.  Christians: Heaven-on-Earth. New Agers like Eckhart Tolle call it the New Earth.

We train ourselves to rise above the mind and return home to the place we have always been, but have forgotten.

According to the Elders of the Maya, the Hopi, Lakota and several other native American tribes, we are due to move through a Shift. Depending on your point of view, this shift is polar, calendrical or as a frame of consciousness. Ram Dass led a swathe of his generation from mind-altering to living beyond mind. One of his contemporaries, Drunvalo Melchizedek, bridges the cultural divide and brings to the Western world oral teachings the Maya handed down to prepare for this time.  Both men believe that the Shift is imminent and thousands of groups of New Agers agree with them.  While one practice focuses on non-duality and non-attachment as the way to enter heaven/nirvana/the NOW, the other reminds its followers that the way back home is through the Earth, that by giving respect to all beings, or ‘treading lightly upon’ our home planet, we shall simultaneously reconnect with earth’s dynamo, to bring us back into balance with lost knowledge, the key to unlock the secret code to living as we were designed to: in possession of all our faculties, self-healing mechanisms, ability to nurture one another and raise the group mind to the next level.

Many networks proclaim the way forward through the Shift is to be present, follow intuition and show love: to ourselves, our friends, extended family and groups. As if reflecting this need to connect, internet pages have sprung up which fill an inner void, as counseling support groups did in the psychiatric age. Now, instead of seeing your shrink, you can blog about difficulties, twitter your daily thoughts, boost another’s confidence, share dreams with cyberfriends – some you may never physically meet.  It takes only minimum hyper-knowledge, a little netiquette and a willingness to let go of old ways like ‘can’t type, don’t know how it works, why do I need a support group of total strangers?’ 

Rainer Maria Rilke (1892-1910) asks us to ‘welcome the new year, full of things that have never been’, suggesting we open our hearts to the concept of possibilities.  The ancient East advocated ‘before and after nirvana, chop wood and carry water’.  New agers say ‘Expect Miracles’. Either way, it seems a pity, at the dawning of a new era, not to use our full potential.
